TOOLBAR SYSTEMS
Toolbar systems that can be used to mount tools and other items onto vehicles and other structures are disclosed. The toolbar systems may be installed on the underside of a truck cover in order to protect tools or other items during transport, and to allow easy access during use. The toolbar systems are adjustable to many different configurations in order to accommodate various types and sizes of tools and other articles. The toolbar systems are also usable with various types of clamping mechanisms that can releasably secure the tools and other items to the toolbar bases.
BLIND RIVET INSERT, A COMPONENT WITH AN INSTALLED BLIND RIVET INSERT AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING SUCH A BLIND RIVET INSERT IN A COMPONENT OPENING
A blind rivet insert having a head forming an annular flange and a shank extending from an underside of the head, and having a head end, a foot end and a bore extending from the head end to the foot end. The insert has a first bore segment near the foot end, provided with an internal thread, and a second bore segment near the head end whose diameter is greater than that of the first bore segment. The underside of the head includes an annular groove adapted for receiving a sealing ring in a mounted condition of the blind rivet insert. An annular retaining shank groove extends circumferentially around the shank, is arranged adjacent to the underside of the head, and retains the sealing ring in a preloaded position before mounting the blind rivet insert.
Sealant for screwing members
A sealant for screwing members contains: (a) a self-cross-linking aqueous emulsion; (b) a nanofiberized aramid fiber substance; and (c) a film-forming aid containing a mixture. The mixture contains a compound represented by formula 1: CH.sub.3O—(CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O).sub.n—H. In formula 1, n is 4 or more. An equilibrium reflux boiling point of the overall mixture is 280° C. or higher.
Stud assembly for high current applications
The subject disclosure relates to a water-tight sealed stud assembly for high current applications. The water-tight sealed stud assembly can include a stud, a sealing ring, a sleeve, and a body. The stud may have a stud base and a thickened portion having an annular groove. The sealing ring may be disposed in the annular groove. The sleeve may be disposed circumferentially around the stud and made of a conductive material. The body may be disposed circumferentially around the sleeve and made of a non-conductive material. Systems and methods are also provided.
HYGIENIC ADAPTER FOR FIELD INSTRUMENT
A securement arrangement for introducing a field instrument into a container includes a connection adapter and a sealing element. The field instrument includes a housing and a sensor. The sensor of the field instrument protrudes inwardly into the container, and the field instrument serves for determining and/or monitoring a process variable of a medium in the container. The connection adapter includes a cylindrical basic body, on which a first securement element is arranged for securing the connection adapter to the field instrument. The connection adapter surrounds the field instrument when the connection adapter is secured to the field instrument. A second securement element is also arranged on the connection adapter for securing the connection adapter to a container adapter. The container adapter surrounds the connection adapter when the container adapter is secured to the connection adapter. A first support of the connection adapter accommodates the sealing element.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SCREW ELEMENT BLANK AND A SCREW ELEMENT, AND SCREW ELEMENT BLANK AND SCREW ELEMENT
The invention relates to a method for producing a gland or a gland blank (3), the method comprising a step of producing a blank (3) having a cylindrical shaft (5) formed on a screw head (4), and a blind hole (7) being formed in the blank (3) from an upper side (11) of the screw head (4) facing away from the shaft (5) in a, in particular further, method step, the blind hole (7) extending toward the shaft (5) and forming at least one first section (13), in particular having a polygonal cross section (Q1), preferably for receiving a screw tool. The blind hole (7) is deepened, thus forming at least one second section (14), which borders the first section (13), in a subsequent method step, the second section (14) forming a preferably at least partially continuous cross section (Q2) which is in particular smaller in size than the first cross section (Q1), the shaft (5) being widened in sections, thus forming an undercut (15) at the crossover between the shaft (5) and the screw head (4), in particular by at least indirectly displacing material from at least the second section (14) of the blind hole (7), in the subsequent method step.
Structural attachment sealing system
A mounting device includes a base having an internal cavity, a top, and an open bottom in communication with the internal cavity. The device includes a first upper member above the base, wherein the first upper member extends upwardly from the base, and a second upper member is above the base, wherein the second upper member extends upwardly from the base. The device further includes a fastener opening formed though the base for receiving a fastener when the mounting device is secured to a roof. The fastener opening is in communication with the internal cavity.
Mechanical connector utilizing keys to transfer torque
This invention builds up on technical features and on the industry experience with the use of Merlin™ family connectors. In addition to friction, structural means utilized to transfer high torsional loads include keys and may also include: interlocked thread systems, shear pins, dog-clutch teeth and splines, all used in isolation or in arbitrary combinations. Static and fatigue bending load capacities of the connectors remain high, while the axial load capacities may or may not be high, depending on the design requirements. Connectors according to this invention can be built as new, carefully optimized designs. In some cases upgrading existing Merlin™ family connector designs to increase they torque transfer capacities may be also feasible.
Structural attachment sealing system
A mounting device including a base having an internal cavity and an upper portion above the base. The upper portion extends upward from the base and includes a vertical member defining opposed first and second faces above the base. An aperture is formed through the upper portion and extends through the first and second faces. The base extends outward, beyond each of the first and second faces.
WIDE RANGE PIPE FITTING
A joint assembly can include a piping element and a fastener configured to secure a pipe length to the piping element, the fastener including: a nut; a gasket positioned at least partially between the nut and the piping element; and a grip band positioned at least partially between the nut and the gasket, the grip band defining a first axial end and a second axial end, the grip band including a plurality of teeth extending from the first axial end, each of the plurality of teeth configured to rotate with respect to an axis of the grip band in transition between an uncompressed condition and a compressed condition to change a corresponding angle of attack of each of the plurality of teeth with respect to the pipe length.
