Sealing device for a bearing unit
Sealing device for a bearing unit having at least one contact lip operatively in sliding contact with a contact surface of the bearing unit and in turn provided with a wedge portion which forms with respect to the contact surface a first angle (α) facing a medium to be contained and a second angle (β) opposite the first angle, wherein during operating conditions, the second angle (β) is smaller than the first angle (α) and with a first surface having a concave shape, the concavity of which is defined by a first radius (R1); wherein the second angle (β) is between 48° and 55° and the length of the first radius (R1) is between 2.0 mm and 10.00 mm.
Sliding bearing and crankshaft support structure
A sliding bearing that is disposed in a cylinder block and supports a journal portion of a crankshaft, including: a semi-annular first split bearing having a first circumferential end surface; and a semi-annular second split bearing having a second circumferential end surface. The first and second circumferential end surfaces contact each other, the first split bearing has a same outer diameter as an outer diameter of the second split bearing, the second split bearing has a thickness at a second circumferentially central position that is greater than a thickness of the first split bearing at a first circumferentially central position, the thickness of the first split bearing is decreased from the first circumferentially central position toward the first circumferential end surface, the thickness of the second split bearing is decreased from the second circumferentially central position toward the second circumferential end surface.
Sealing Arrangement Having A Rod Seal, Output Apparatus For Discharging A Flowable Medium And Rod Seal
A sealing arrangement having a rod seal for sealing a cavity for a flowable medium in the region of a rod includes an output apparatus for discharging the flowable medium. The rod is movably supported in a housing to be displaced in an axial direction. The housing has a bearing portion, wherein the rod seal is supported in a fixed manner and wherein the rod extends through the bearing portion and the rod seal so that a first rod portion and a second rod portion are arranged at different sides of the bearing portion. The first rod portion is located at a side facing the cavity and the second rod portion is located at a side facing away from the cavity. The rod seal is arranged at the side of the bearing portion facing the first rod portion and has a first sealing lip and a second sealing lip that are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction and circumferentially contact the rod. The bearing portion facing the cavity has a discharge structure having a support face which circumferentially surrounds the rod. The rod seal is in abutment with the support face and the support face has a diameter which increases in the direction of the second rod portion.
BEARING UNIT WITH PROTECTION DISC
A bearing unit may have a radially outer ring, a radially inner ring, a row of rolling bodies interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner ring, a casing inside which the rings of the bearing unit are housed. The bearing unit may further have a sealing device and a disc-like element for protecting the sealing device, made as one piece, entirely of plastic or composite material, axially external with respect to the sealing device, stably anchored in a seat of the casing and having a radial distance (d2) between a radially internal surface of the disc-like element and the radially inner ring ranging between 0.75 mm and 0.95 mm so as to block large-size external contaminants, without making contact with the radially inner ring.
WHEELSET BEARING FOR A RAIL VEHICLE, AND RAIL VEHICLE
A wheelset bearing for a rail vehicle includes a rolling bearing assembly (7) with three bearing rings (4, 8, 9), specifically two inner rings (4, 8) provided for connection to a wheelset shaft (2) and one outer ring (9) provided for connection to a housing (6). The rolling bearing assembly (7) is designed as a quadruple-row angular contact ball bearing in an O arrangement, and two rolling element rows (16, 17) are provided contacting a first inner ring (4) in order to absorb axial forces in a first direction and two rolling element rows (18, 19) are provided contacting a second inner ring (8) in order to absorb forces in the opposite axial direction. A rail vehicle with such an arrangement is also provided.
FRICTION BEARING, AND METHOD FOR LUBRICATING AND COOLING A FRICTION BEARING
A friction bearing of a planetary gearbox, has first and second rotatably connected components. Oil adjacent an oil feed pocket of the first component is directed into the bearing clearance between the components. The oil is directed into the pocket by a first line that opens into the pocket. The profile of the line conjointly with the radial direction of the bearing clearance encloses an angle to direct the oil from the line into the oil feed pocket, the angle being approximately 5°-60° to the radial direction of the bearing clearance and in the main rotation direction of the second component in relation to the first component, or at an angle of approximately 5°-20° to the radial direction of the bearing clearance and in the circumferential direction of the bearing clearance and counter to the main rotation direction of the second component to the first component.
