A railway slipping block brake lock has a brake linkage arm connector configured to connect a brake linkage arm to a draw rod. A draw rod is connected to the brake linkage arm connector. The draw rod has a draw rod engaged position corresponding to a railway brake engaged position, and the draw rod has a draw rod disengaged position corresponding to a railway brake disengaged position. A slipping block is mounted around the draw rod. The slipping block has a wedge shaped profile that fits to a wedge-shaped opening of a retaining frame. The retaining frame has a retaining frame wedge-shaped inside profile to receive the slipping block. The slipping block releases the draw rod and disengages from the retaining frame when the draw rod moves toward an engaged position.

Disc brake

A disc brake includes a caliper; a pad pressed against a disc by a movable portion of the caliper and including a mounting ear portion provided to be protruded in a longitudinal direction of the pad; a pad spring including a guide plate configured to guide the mounting ear portion, and a first biasing member configured to press the mounting ear portion of the pad toward outside of the disc; and a second biasing member provided at the pad to bias the pad in a direction away from the disc. The guide plate of the pad spring has a surface that abuts on the mounting ear portion of the pad pressed by the first biasing member. The pad spring includes a folded region protruded in an axial direction of the disc from the surface abutting on the mounting ear portion of the pad, and folded in a direction toward the outside of the disc and away from the mounting ear portion. The folded region includes an abutting portion which the second biasing member provided at the pad abuts on.

LOCK-UP DEVICE
20200271207 · 2020-08-27 ·

A lock-up device for a torque converter transmitting a torque from a front cover to a transmission-side member is disclosed. The lock-up device includes a clutch part, a piston, and a return mechanism. The piston is axially opposed to the front cover through the clutch part. The piston is axially movable and applies a pressing force to the clutch part whereby the clutch part is turned to an activated state. The return mechanism urges the piston away from the front cover. The return mechanism is disposed axially between the front cover and the piston while disposed radially inside the clutch part. The return mechanism includes first and second plates, and an elastic member. The first plate contacts the front cover. The second plate contacts the piston while axially opposed to the first plate. The elastic member is disposed between the first and second plates in a compressed state.

Braking system for electromagnetic motors

An agricultural header includes: a header frame; at least one cutting unit carried by the header frame and including a cutting element and a driveshaft coupled to the cutting element; and a gearbox configured to drive the cutting element. The gearbox includes a gearbox output rotatably coupled to the driveshaft; and a clutch including an intermediate shaft and at least one clutch shoe rotatably coupled to the intermediate shaft and displaceable between a non-engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe does not engage the gearbox output and an engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe engages the gearbox output. The clutch is configured such that the at least one clutch shoe displaces to the engaging position when a rotational speed of the intermediate shaft reaches a threshold value.

BRAKE RELEASE DEVICE AND ROBOT MANIPULATOR EMPLOYING SAME
20200180169 · 2020-06-11 ·

A brake release device and a robot manipulator employing the same are provided. The robot manipulator includes a housing and a brake element. The housing defines an inner space and has an opening, and the inner space is in communication with a space outside the housing through the opening. The brake element is disposed within the inner space. The robot manipulator stops or is allowed to actuate according to a position of the brake element. The brake release device is connected with the brake element. The brake release device is partially located in the inner space, and the brake release device partially penetrates through the opening and is exposed from the housing.
