Wet parking brake device and method of assembling the same
A wet parking brake device includes a shaft case, a rotary shaft, a plurality of stators, a plurality of brake discs, a piston member, and a pressing mechanism. The wet parking brake device is configured such that the brake discs and the stators come in contact with each other by a pressure from the piston member pressed by the pressing mechanism to thereby generate a braking force against the rotary shaft. The pressing mechanism includes a parking rod. The parking rod includes a rod main body, a turning shaft portion, and a connecting shaft. The shaft case includes an opening and a shaft hole. A length of the parking rod, the diameter of the shaft hole and the diameter of the turning shaft portion are respectively designed such that the turning shaft portion is inserted into the shaft hole when the parking rod is inserted from the opening.
Brake disc assembly
An article includes a structural core, one or more friction pads, and a plurality of elongated fasteners. The structural core includes two core surfaces and a plurality of pockets extending between the core surfaces. Each friction pad includes a pad surface and a friction surface opposite the pad surface. Each pad surface includes a planar pad surface configured to contact the core surface and a plurality of bosses extending from the first planar pad surface and including a bore. Each planar pad surface is at least about 50% of a surface area of the respective first and second pad surfaces. The plurality of bosses engages with the plurality of pockets to position the respective first and second friction pads relative to the structural core. The plurality of elongated fasteners passes through bores of corresponding bosses of friction pads to fasten the friction pads to the structural core.
Brake Drum for a Vehicle Drum Brake
A brake drum for a drum brake, in particular of a motor vehicle, includes a cylindrical jacket and a support pot which axially adjoins the jacket and which has a hub ring portion to be secured to a wheel hub. The monolithic brake drum is formed at least in part of a fiber-reinforced plastic.
DISK BRAKE PAD WITH OBLIQUELY EXTENDING COLLECTION GROOVE
The brake pad for a disk brake includes a lining and a plate. The lining includes:—a friction face and a fastening face;—a rear edge;—an inner edge and an outer edge; and—a collection groove extending into the inner edge or outer edge. The plate has a hole, the hole being connected to a vacuum source via communication element. The lining has a rear region including the rear edge and the collection groove, and a chamfered portion such that an area of a friction surface of the rear region increases when a thickness of the rear region decreases, the collection groove being located at a distance from a free surface of the chamfered portion and having a cross-section which extends obliquely towards the free surface of the chamfered portion.
GENERATOR HAVING A DISCONNECT MECHANISM
A generator for comprising a rotor, an inner shaft, an outer shaft, and an actuation means. The inner shaft is at least partially disposed inside the outer shaft. The inner shaft is coupled to the outer shaft by means of a translatable drive connection. The actuation means is configured to actuate the second shaft towards a retracted position. The translatable drive connection is configured to allow a transfer of torque between the first and second shafts, and enables movement of the second shaft, relative to the first shaft, along its axis of rotation from an extended, position to a retracted position, such that an input portion of the second shaft can be at least partially retracted in a retraction direction towards the rotor upon activation of the actuation mechanism. A disconnect mechanism disposed on the second shaft can therefore be disconnected upon retraction of the second shaft.
COMPOSITE PART AND METHOD AND TOOLING FOR MAKING THE SAME
Composite parts (10), methods of making the same (400), and tooling systems (200) for making the same are disclosed. According to one example, a high-pressure die casting process is used to manufacture a composite part (10) that is made from a composite metal material (12) with a metal matrix phase (20) and a particle phase (22) and includes an interior region (14) and an exterior region (16), where an average concentration of the particle phase (22) in the composite metal material (12) is higher in the exterior region (16) than in the interior region (14). An interior surface (206a, 206b) of a die mold (206) may be coated with a particle phase (22) (e.g., a ceramic-based material) and a molten metal matrix phase (20) (e.g., an aluminum-based material) may then be introduced into the die mold (206) such that a composite part (10) is formed with an exterior region (16) or outer layer that is particle-rich compared to an interior region (14).
DISC SPRING
The disc spring is a disc spring for being fitted on a rotary shaft and includes: an annular body portion; a claw portion protruding inward in a radial direction from an inner peripheral edge of the body portion, wherein the claw portion gradually extends toward one side in an axial direction as it goes inward in the radial direction, and at least a tip part of the claw portion is provided with a hole.
RAILWAY BRAKE SYSTEM FOR A RAILWAY VEHICLE
Disclosed is a brake system for a railway vehicle, including linings each having at least one positioning member for mechanically fastening the linings in a predetermined position on the system with respect to a disc of the vehicle and a bearing face for tightly gripping the disc under the action of an actuator of the system, and at least one return member for separating the linings from the disc in order to release it when the linings are freed from the action of the actuator; each lining has at least one fastening member formed on an edge, the return member has two opposite end lugs connected to one another by an elastic portion and each mechanically fastened with a the fastening member, and the system is configured such that the fastening members and the end lugs are situated at a distance from the at least one positioning member.
