Roll-up doors and method for securing same
A roll-up door including a flexible curtain having a front surface, a back surface, a first end coupled to a shaft, a second end opposite the first end, and first and second side edges extending between the first end and the second end, the flexible curtain being moveable between a retracted position wherein the flexible curtain is coiled around the shaft and a deployed position wherein the flexible curtain is uncoiled from the shaft. A first retention band is mounted along at least a portion of the first side edge of the flexible curtain, the first retention band including an inner surface at least partially facing towards the flexible curtain, an outer surface opposite the inner surface, a fixed edge attached to the flexible curtain generally parallel to the first side edge, and a free edge opposite the fixed edge and movable relative to the fixed edge.
SMOKE SCREEN APPARATUS WITH MANUAL EGRESS CAPABILITY
This disclosure relates generally to a smoke screen apparatus for shielding humans from harmful exposure to smoke, noxious fumes, or contaminated air. For safety reasons the smoke screen must allow for manual egress through the screen using a release mechanism that can automatically recover to the protective state after egress.

Concertina Smoke or Fire Barrier
A concertina smoke or fire barrier comprising a curtain having a plurality of concertina-fold curtain webs and a plurality of concertina flanges. The flanges extend from a stitching joint between each adjacent pair of curtain webs. Normally closed door opening in the curtain, the door opening being provided by a slit extending through several of curtain webs and their flanges. Cuts in the flanges adjacent to the slit allow flange portions between the slit and the cuts to be stitched against their webs. A strip of curtain web material is stitched to the curtain webs on one side of the slit for covering it when the door opening is closed. Hook and loop fastening tape is located on both sides of the slit, one piece of the tape being stitched to the strip and another complementary piece being stitched to the curtain webs to the other side of the slit.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER COVER FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Disclosed is a fire extinguisher cover for covering over a motor vehicle, the battery of which has caught fire. The cover comprises a sheet for covering over the vehicle, the sheet comprising an opening disposed thereon, and a casing assembly comprising a plurality of spaced apart casings and a drawstring running through the plurality of casings. The drawstring is arranged to be tightened to achieve a tight abutment between the casing assembly, the ground and the vehicle tires when the vehicle is covered by the sheet, and the fire-extinguishing fluid is run through the at least one opening to be fill up between the vehicle and the sheet resulting in said fluid reaching the battery for extinguishing the fire emanating therefrom.

Rooftop kit for extinguishing fire embers
The roof top kit for extinguishing fire embers is a fire resistant structure that is adapted for use with buildings. The roof top kit for extinguishing fire embers is adapted to mount on the roof of the building. The roof top kit for extinguishing fire embers comprises a passive barrier and an active suppression system. The passive barrier is a fire resistant barrier that is mounted on the building such that there is space between the passive barrier and the structure. The passive barrier provides a physical barrier that prevents embers from wild fires from falling directly upon the roof of the structure. The active suppression system saturates the passive barrier in water. The water extinguishes ignitions that may occur from the embers that have landed on the passive barrier.

Multi layer fire curtain
A multi-layer rolling fire curtain assembly includes: a rotatable curtain roller positionable about a structure opening; a multi-layer fire curtain wrappable about the curtain roller and to be deployable from the curtain roller between an extended position and an open position, the fire curtain having a first end fixed to the curtain roller, and a free end, the free end being movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The fire curtain has: a fire resistant inner curtain layer arranged closer to the curtain roller, and a fire resistant outer curtain layer arranged opposite the inner layer. The inner and outer layers are affixed to one another by horizontally oriented connection seams, to connect the inner and outer layers to each other, the connection seams being configured so that the outer and inner layers are spaced apart by a plurality of baggy areas formed between adjacent connection seams.
