APPARATUS OF ESTIMATING VEHICLE WEIGHT AND METHOD USING THE SAME
An apparatus of estimating a vehicle weight may include: an acceleration detector detecting a longitudinal direction acceleration of the vehicle; a data detector detecting state data to estimate the vehicle weight; an engine clutch disposed between an engine and a drive motor and selectively connecting the engine to the drive motor; an integrated starter-generator for starting the engine and generating electric energy; and a vehicle controller calculating a basic vehicle weight based on an engine torque, a motor torque and the longitudinal direction acceleration detected by the acceleration detector. The vehicle controller estimates a final vehicle weight based on the basic vehicle weight and a predetermined weight when an estimating entrance condition is satisfied from the state data.

Maximum axial position changing RPM methods
Methods that can be used to limit the maximum shaft/spline rpm (speed) at which axial position changing of a variator mounted on it is performed to a maximum axial position changing rpm value for all variator mounted shafts/splines of a CVT, while still allowing a safe driving experience and also allowing the driver to use the full power of the engine when needed.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A relay diagnosis unit diagnosing a relay turning ON and OFF an electric power to a transmission control device. The transmission control device is equipped with a main control unit and a monitoring unit monitoring the main control unit on the basis of a signal from the main control unit, and is equipped with a relay diagnosis unit diagnosing a relay for turning ON and OFF an electric power supplied to the transmission control device and a monitoring unit diagnosis unit diagnosing the monitoring unit, and diagnosis is carried out at each of timing when a key position changes to an OFF position and at timing when the key position changes to an accessory position, so that both diagnoses, i.e., diagnosis for detecting malfunction of the relay and diagnosis for the monitoring function of the main control unit, can be carried out.
System for preventing damaging of a gear box of a vehicle provided with a clutch-servo and a servo-shift actuated gear box system
The present invention provides for a method and apparatus for preventing damaging of a gear box of a vehicle provided with a servo-actuated clutch system and a servo-actuated gear shift system, the servo-actuated clutch comprising a clutch-servo housing a pneumatic piston, movable between a first and a second positions corresponding to an open and a closed system of the clutch. The functioning of servo-actuated gear shift system is enabled when the pneumatic piston position exceeds, toward said disengagement state, a third predefined position.

Control Device in a Motor Vehicle Having an Electronically Controllable Automatic Transmission in the Application Case of a Car Wash
A control device is provided for a motor vehicle having an electronically controllable automatic transmission, an electronic transmission selector lever and an electronic control unit. The control unit, which may be the transmission control unit, has a car wash functional module such that, after activation of the car wash functional module, the following steps are permitted at least once and/or at least for a predefined limited time, in each case without activation of the brake pedal: shutting down of the engine in the transmission selector lever position N; a subsequent restart of the engine in the transmission selector lever position N; and a changeover from the transmission selector lever position N to D. The car wash functional module can be activated or deactivated by the driver at his discretion via a display operator control element.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE
Systems and methods for reducing perception of transitions from shifting a transmission from neutral to drive are described. In one example, the transmission is shifted from neutral to drive in response to brake pedal motion before the brake pedal is fully released so that timing of pressurizing clutches and engaging a forward gear is advanced to occur while the brake pedal is still applied.
