Transfer line exchanger
The present invention provides a transfer line exchanger which is optimized for one or more objective functions of interest such as pressure drop, erosion rate, fouling, coke deposition and operating costs. The transfer line exchanger is designed by computer modeling a transfer line exchanger in which the cross section of flow path is substantially circular and modeling the operation of the transfer line under industrial conditions to validate the model design and its operation. Then iteratively the model design is deformed and the operation of the deformed part is modeled and compared to values obtained with other deformed models until the value of the objective function is optimized (e.g. at an extreme) or the change in the objective function is approaching zero.
Forming device, forming method, and metal pipe
A forming device which expands a metal pipe material to form a metal pipe having a pipe portion and a flange portion includes a hardness lowering portion which lowers a hardness of the flange portion to be lower than a hardness of the pipe portion.
Tapered stress-relieved helically reinforced hose
Helically reinforced, flexible tubing or hose is formed from continuously extruded thermoplastic material helically circumferentially wound at a wrapping station around an array of bearing-supported rods that are concurrently but individually turned and are adjustably canted relative to an imaginary center axis. The tubing or hose being formed has a continuous reinforcing rib helically wound therearound and continuously integrally connected thereto. The resulting tubing or hose may be transversely severed at intervals along its length to provide discrete lengths of hose that are annealed while axially compressed to relieve stress.
Guiding pipe for water sprayer
A guiding pipe for a water sprayer, and the water sprayer has a handle with an intake end configured to connect to a water source and another end connected a spray head through a guiding pipe. The guiding pipe has a spiral main tube provided with a respective circular connecting section at each end, and the circular connecting sections are respectively connected to the handle and the spray head.
HEAT-TRANSFERRING DOUBLE PIPE, INNER PIPE FOR HEAT-TRANSFERRING DOUBLE PIPE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
An inner pipe (2) is designed for a heat-transferring double pipe that exchanges heat between a fluid that flows through the interior of the inner pipe and a fluid that flows between the inner pipe and an outer pipe (10) that surrounds the inner pipe. The inner pipe has a first region (21) and a second region (22), which have transverse cross-sectional shapes that differ. The first region has a plurality of first protruding parts (211) that protrude outward and form a first recess-protrusion shape in which locations of the first protruding parts are offset helically in a longitudinal direction. The second region has a plurality of second protruding parts (221) that protrude outward and form a second recess-protrusion shape, in which locations of the second protruding parts are offset helically in the longitudinal direction. The number of second protruding parts is greater than the number of first protruding parts.
Drill pipe
A drill pipe has a tubular body with a first end, a second end, an outer wall and an inner wall. A first connection end is connected to the first end of the tubular body and a second connection end is connected with the second end of the tubular body. The first connection end and the second connection end have an inner wall and an outer wall, the outer wall is substantially cylindrical in shape and the inner wall defines a central cavity. The first connection end and the second connection end are sized to allow for mating with a corresponding drill pipe. The outer wall of the tubular body is substantially cylindrical in shape. The inner wall of the tubular body defines a central cavity that is in fluid communication with the central cavity of the first connection end and the second connection end. The inner wall has at least one land and at least one groove. The at least one groove has at least one twist along the length of the tubular body.
THERMOPLASTIC MOULDED PART, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND DUCT INCORPORATING SAME
The invention relates to a thermoplastic molded part able to constitute a duct of an aerial vehicle or space vehicle, to a method of manufacturing same, and to this duct which comprises said part. For example, provided is a part according to the invention, which has an external surface (2) with symmetry of revolution at least in part, is such that the external surface comprises a multitude of integrally molded depressions (6) which are connected to one another in pairs by crests (7), and that: each of the depressions has a largest transverse dimension D between the adjacently paired crests of between 3 mm and 10 mm, measured in a direction d perpendicular to the crests delimiting each depression, and each of the crests has an apex of transverse width L measured in said direction d, where L<D.
Spiral-welded polymer products with a cellular wall and thermoplastic profile for its production
The invention relates to production of long spiral-welded large polymer products, as required for pipelines production, chemical, oil and gas and petrochemical industries, agricultural complex and utility services. The object of the invention is to create variants of spiral-welded polymer product with a cellular wall, having the internal or external, or internal and external uniform smooth walls with little material consumption, weight and cost. It should allow making products on site due the use of a thin-walled, lightweight, flexible profile. The object is solved owing to fact that a long hollow thermoplastic profile is used in spiral-welded polymer products, wherein the cross-section of the profile has a form of a closed geometric figure with a convex part having essentially the semi-ring shape and flat part that are connected each other, forming the convex and flat parts of the external surface of the profile, respectively.
Structural connection between in-line pipes and tubes
A structural connection between in-line circular or rectangular pipes. The connection is maintained within the outer dimensions of the pipe or tubes, eliminates the need for numerous large welds, and provides for a large center hole that enables items to pass through the connection inside the pipes.
Integrated Gas Orifice
A gas powered appliance which can include a gas line having a first and second end. The gas line can be manufactured to integrally include a specific orifice outlet diameter. This can reduce the need for additional parts or a separate fitting. Additionally, there is a mixing chamber where the gas from the gas line mixes with air before combusting.
