COUPLING DEVICE FOR CONNECTING ELONGATED HOLLOW BODIES IN AN ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
Coupling device (12) for connecting elongated hollow bodies (26, 28) in an assembly system (10), comprising: a first receiving opening (32) for receiving a first elongated hollow body (26) and a second receiving opening (34) for receiving a second elongated hollow body (28), wherein the receiving openings (32, 34) are arranged relative to one another in such a way that the first and second elongated hollow bodies (26, 28) can be coupled to one another after introduction into the respective receiving openings (32, 34).
Mechanical fitting for plastic pipe
Spigot device including a spigot formed with exterior gripping teeth and sleeve device to telescope over the spigot. The sleeve device is formed with a radially inwardly opening, distally contracting conical bearing surface which mounts a radially inwardly contractible gripper ring device captive therein, and constructed to be driven radially inwardly by the bearing surface as the sleeve is drawn proximally on the spigot to grip a plastic pipe trapped in the annulus between the sleeve and spigot.
COMPOUNDING LOCKING RING FOR PIPE JOINTS
A pipe joint having a compound locking ring is disclosed herein. The pipe joint bell has a a segment cavity into which ring segments may be inserted through a slot on the face or outer surface of the bell end of a first pipe. The locking ring has multiple ring segments, each segment having an arcuate outer surface. The outer surface may be a compound surface of multiple arcs.
PRE-ASSEMBLED COUPLING ASSEMBLY WITH CAP
A cap configured for engagement with a coupling, the cap defining an inner end and an outer end, the cap defining an axis extending from the inner end to the outer end, the cap defining a raised lip, a sealing surface, and a groove, the raised lip axially positioned at the inner end, the sealing surface positioned between the raised lip and the groove.
CONDUIT FITTING WITH COMPONENTS ADAPTED FOR FACILITATING ASSEMBLY
A fitting includes a first and second threaded fitting component and a conduit gripping device receivable within the first threaded fitting component. A stroke resisting member is integral with the first threaded fitting component and includes a web having a first radial thickness and extending axially inward from the first threaded fitting component to a distal ring portion having a second radial thickness greater than the first radial thickness. A radially extending bearing surface of the distal ring portion axially engages a radially extending portion of the second fitting component when the first and second fitting components are joined together to the first relative axial position. The stroke resisting member resists additional axial stroke of the first and second fitting components, such that a tightening torque beyond the first relative axial position is increased by the axial engagement.
Conduit fitting with components adapted for facilitating assembly
A subassembly for a conduit fitting includes a first ferrule and a second ferrule alignable relative to an axis. The first ferrule includes a camming surface at a back portion thereof, and the second ferrule includes a surface that contacts the camming surface when the first ferrule and the second ferrule are axially moved together along the axis. A retaining structure retains the first ferrule and the second ferrule together as a subassembly, and includes a flange extending radially outward and axially rearward from the back portion of the first ferrule to define an outer diameter recess. The flange includes an end portion that extends radially inward to define an inner diameter recess retaining a forward portion of the second ferrule. The outer diameter recess and the inner diameter recess together define a hinge portion of the flange.
Pipe connector systems, devices and methods
Systems, devices and methods for pipe connectors and associated components are disclosed. Features for no hub clamps, for locking mechanisms on no hub clamps, for tools for no hub clamps, and for gaskets are described. The gaskets may be hourglass-shaped or otherwise taper outward near the ends to facilitate assembly onto pipe ends and that compress inward when a clamp is secured over the gasket. The gaskets may reduce in circumference at the gasket ends upon contraction of the gasket by a clamp onto two pipe ends. The gaskets may include collapsible sections that collapse upon contraction of the gasket by a clamp onto two pipe ends. The gaskets may include wedges at the collapsible regions that extend axially and protrude into the channel.
Snap together pipe coupling assembly
A pipe system for transporting liquid. The pipe system connects adjacent pipes and includes a pipe having a coupler cup formed in an end thereof. The coupler cup is configured for receiving and end of a second pipe therein. The pipe system includes a coupler cap adapted to snap onto the coupler cup. The coupler cap also has an opening for receiving the second pipe therethrough to couple the first pipe and the second pipe. A seal is disposed between the coupler cap and the coupler cup to provide a sealed pipe system.
Anti-rotational push to connect fitting
An anti-rotational push to connect fitting includes a housing defining an internal cavity, the internal cavity having, at least in part, a non-circular shape. The housing has a conduit receiving region having an inwardly oriented wall. A seal is positioned in the housing adjacent to the conduit receiving region. A grip ring support is positioned in the housing adjacent to the seal. The grip ring support has a transverse flange having an inner peripheral edge and an outer peripheral edge and a longitudinal wall extending from the flange spaced from the inner and outer peripheral edges to define gaps between the longitudinal wall and a wall of the housing and inwardly of the longitudinal wall. A grip ring is positioned adjacent to the grip ring support and is seated on an end of the wall. The grip ring has a non-circular shape configured to cooperate with the housing internal cavity and the grip ring support. The grip ring has a peripheral portion that seats on the longitudinal wall and a series of circumferentially positioned, inwardly projecting flexible, angled fingers.
