QUICK CONNECTOR WITH VERIFIER
A quick connector assembly and process for forming a coupling in a fluid line between a first and a second fluid tube comprises a receptacle body having a cavity extending through the receptacle body to the second fluid tube. A sealing section is located within the cavity and a socket portion extends from the sealing section. The socket portion includes wall bordering a socket opening in alignment with the cavity and includes a pair of latch openings extending through a portion of the wall into the socket opening. A sealing member having a receiver opening is installed in the sealing section with the receiver opening in alignment with the socket opening and the cavity to the second tube. A bracket installed on the wall includes a pair of spring latches, each spring latch extending through a respective one of the pair of latch openings into the socket opening. A first fluid tube having an insertion portion and a raised upset is placed through the socket opening into the receiver opening making a fluid connection to the second fluid tube and causing the upset to be captured by each spring latch. A verifier having fixing fingers and a pair of arms is installed through respective recesses in the wall into the socket opening. Upon the capture of the first fluid tube upset by the spring latches, a force applied to the verifier causes each verifier arm to travel along the upset to rest below a respective spring latch and the fixing fingers to also capture the upset. Verifier symbols located on a surface of each verifier arm are visible through each latch openings verifying that the first fluid tube has been coupled to the receptacle body.
RADIAL PRESS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A HIGH-PRESSURE HYDRAULIC LINE
When producing a high-pressure hydraulic line, a connection fitting is attached to a multi-layer high-pressure hose having a reinforcing layer. A portion of a reinforced high-pressure hose and a connection fitting to be joined to it are provided. The connection fitting is placed onto the end portion of the high-pressure hose and a joining operation is carried out to form a sealed connection. The quality of the connection is determined by applying an electrical test signal to at least one connection of a testing arrangement having two connections. A first connection is electrically and/or magnetically coupled to the connection fitting and a second connection is contactlessly electrically and/or magnetically coupled to a reinforcing layer of the high-pressure hose. An electrical response signal is detected and the response signal is compared with a setpoint-value range stored in a memory of the testing arrangement.
FLUID LINE FOR CONNECTION WITH A COUPLING
A method for producing a tube arrangement for the transport of tempering medium, in which base body sections are provided, which have congruently configured separating surfaces, wherein at least one functional element on at least one base body section is arranged in such a way that it can be in contact with the tempering medium, whereafter the base body sections are joined along the separating surface and bonded to one another to form the tube arrangement.
Color coding system for PVC pipes and couplings
A system of visual and non-visual marks for pipes and couplings which allows users to group the pipes and couplings by type, size, end configurations and composition with a series of symbols, including colors, shapes, swirls, patterns. The symbols are applied to the pipes and couplings by printing, etching, painting, applying stickers, and or molding. The non-visual mark utilize the magnetic and radio reflective nature of the marks to allow remote identification of the plumbing pipes and couplings after being buried.
PUSH-TO-CONNECT FITTING PROVIDING AN INSERTION INDICATION
A tube fitting for connection to a tube includes a main body structure and a tube liner. The main body structure is configured to receive an end of the tube and fluidly connect the tube to another component. The tube liner is positioned at least partially within the main body structure and is configured to extend into the tube. The main body structure and the tube liner are configured such that, when the tube is fully inserted into the tube fitting, the end of the tube is positioned at a predetermined depth within the tube fitting, and the main body structure and the tube liner cooperate together to provide an audible indication to indicate that the tube has been fully inserted into the tube fitting.
Chromatography System and Couplings Therefor
Disclosed are chromatography systems employing a releasable coupling 100 for holding a fluid tubing to a spigot, the coupling comprising: a cylindrical inner component 110 for accepting a fluid tubing 30, said inner component including a resiliently deflectable portion 118 arranged to urge an outer surface of the tubing toward a spigot; and a cylindrical collar 130 having and internal through-aperture 132 for slideably accepting the inner component, the aperture and resilient portion having complementary surface formations which in a first position of the collar mounted to the inner component provide for said resilient deflection in use, and which in a second different position do not cause said deflection, the coupling being characterized in that the collar comprises a collar flange 134 extending outwardly away from the aperture of a size allowing manual manipulation of the collar between the first and second positions. Chromatography systems employing said couplings is disclosed also.
Secure tube coupling with automatic connection
A tube coupling including a female connector a body into which a male connector having an annular collar is inserted axially, and a connection element is provided. The connection element extends in a transverse direction within the body of the female connector. The connection element is designed to interfere mechanically with the collar during insertion of the male connector and to move transversely of its own accord towards the inside of the female connector. The connection element includes a locking hook that cooperates with a locking catch provided in the female connector. The hook goes past the catch as a result of the mechanical interference of the collar that drives axial and radial elastic deformation of the connection element. The hook locks against the catch when the connection element is fully pushed into the female connector.
FLUID JOINT ASSEMBLY ADJUSTABLE FROM PRIMARY TO BACKUP SEALING STATE AND FLUID CONNECTOR FOR SAME
A fluid connector in a fluid joint assembly such as in a machine hydraulic system includes a connector body having a stem with a seal face extending circumferentially around a connector axis at a backup sealing location. A non-metallic seal is upon the stem and extends circumferentially around the connector axis at a primary sealing location. The fluid connector also includes a swivel nut including threads and a snap retainer and supported for rotation upon the stem. The fluid connector can establish a primary sealing state by way of hand installation, and can be torqued to a backup sealing state to provide a robust metal-to-metal seal.
NON-METALLIC CONDUIT HUBS
Non-metallic conduit hubs are provided herein, having a flange configured for attachment to an electrical box, a receiving member extending from a first side of the flange and defining a bore sized for receiving a conduit, an indexing indicator extending radially outward from the receiving member for providing a tactile indication of an orientation of the conduit hub, and an alignment member extending from a second side of the flange and having an outer diameter sized for insertion into an ingress/egress port of the electrical box, wherein the bore extends through the receiving member, the flange, and the alignment member to facilitate routing of wires from the conduit into the electrical box.
Fixing ring, and assembly of a hose and fixing ring
A fixing ring can be pushed onto a hose in such a way that its outside is freely accessible and an inside is in contact with the hose. The inside includes a cylindrically shaped internal thread and the fixing ring includes a holder with an inner diameter, which is smaller than the inner diameter of the internal thread. This provides a reliable process, to fasten a hose on a nozzle of a connector via a fixing ring producible in a simple manner.
