The flexible container (300) is arranged such that it is moveable between a collapsed position, in which the liquid containment assembly (200) has a first depth (D1), and an expanded position, in which the liquid containment assembly (200) has a second depth (D2), the second depth being greater than the first depth.

Helicopter drip pan apparatus and method of making and using such an apparatus

A drip pan apparatus for a helicopter includes a frame and a drip pan. The frame is secured to a skirt on the airframe of the helicopter. The apparatus includes a drip pan for cooperation with a frame to cover an access opening to a transmission. The drip pan includes a substantially planar member of a fiber-reinforced composite and has a seal surface that is configured to cooperate with a seal surface of the frame. A seal member may be disposed between the substantially planar member and the frame to form a fluid-tight seal. The fiber-reinforced composite may be a carbon fiber-reinforced composite. A method of making the drip pan apparatus includes placing a plurality of sheets of an uncured fiber-reinforced composite material on one another to form an uncured stack. The uncured stack is then cured. A frame and a drip pan may be cut from the cured stack.

COMPOSITE DRAIN PAN

In some examples, a drain pan comprises a composite material forming a reservoir and a drain. The composite material comprises a polymeric resin and a reinforcing fiber. The reservoir is to catch a liquid from an engine and to support a step load. The drain is to drain the liquid from the reservoir. In some examples, a method comprises attaching a drain pan to an aircraft proximate an engine. The drain pan comprises a composite material forming a reservoir and a drain. The method further comprises catching a liquid from the engine in the reservoir of the drain pan and draining the liquid from the reservoir through the drain. In addition, the method comprises supporting a step load on the reservoir of the drain pan.

A mobile vehicle lubrication unit for serving power transmission equipment elevated above ground level such as conveyors whereby the lubricant containing gear reducer unit is disposed in an enclosed body mounted on an upper portion of an elevated conveyor. The system includes a manifold system connectable to trailer mounted storage tanks for lubricants, pumps, filters, air supplies and supply lines, and transfer means mounted on a truck or trailer including side access to the control panel and transfer hoses enabling the user to transfer lubricants to elevated equipment such as conveyors by pulling along side of same. The device changes, filters, and replaces the oil in a reducer gearbox or other lubricant containing equipment which is not easily accessed from the ground level. Air presssure is used to evaculate used oil from the conveyor gear motor and/or reducer units and replaces the used oil with filtered or new oil through oil lines and hoses with quick disconnects which may be positioned on a manifold at ground level having oil lines in fluid communication with the gear motor/reducer unit.

A disposable container insert tray may be composed of rows of conical shaped protrusions that are used to channel the liquid to all levels of the container so that liquids can be exposed to the maximum surface area of the non-biodegradable substance for total encapsulation. In embodiments, the top of the liquid disposal container may be covered with an open weave fabric material that acts as a diffuser whereby the liquid materials are spread more equally throughout the confines of the container and on to the surface of the tray insert.

The one or more pieces of shape memory material are attached to the one or more pieces of fabric via a liquid-impervious material applied to the one or more pieces of fabric along the outer perimeter of the floor. The liquid-impervious material is located on the one or more pieces of fabric and the one or more pieces of shape memory material such that the floor and the one or more free-standing flexible walls are liquid-impervious and define a space configured to retain liquid in the containment structure.

In one embodiment, a flexible oil filter bib comprises an open end, a closed end, and upper and lower side panels, an oil filter removal aperture configured to permit access by an oil filter removal tool and graspable tabs configured to secure a portion of the bib under the oil filter. In some embodiments, a disposal compartment is configured to receive a removed oil filter and used oil. In some embodiments, a folded edge is formed at the open end of the bib to further contain used oil. In particular embodiments, one or more pockets can receive an end of an elongate tool to facilitate positioning the bib. In another embodiment, a bag is placed at least partially around an oil filter by placing a lower portion of the bag under the fixed end of the oil filter and inserting a tool through an aperture in the bag to remove the oil filter, allowing it to fall into the bag.

A plurality of bracket assemblies are positioned on an external surface of the containment berm. Each of the bracket assemblies includes (i) a pair of first leg segments having first and second ends, the pair of first leg segments being joined by an end segment at their second ends; (ii) a pair of second leg segments having first and second ends, the pair of second leg segments being configured to allow relative movement between their second ends; and (iii) the pair of first leg segments and the pair of second leg segments being joined at their first ends in a substantially perpendicular configuration. One of either the pair of first or second of leg segments engages pockets on the sidewalls.

A hydraulic fluid assembly having an electric motor, a hydraulic pump, hydraulic fluid reservoir, and a hydraulic fluid spill over receptacle engaged to and underneath the hydraulic fluid assembly for capturing spill over hydraulic fluid and directing such spill over to a periphery of the hydraulic fluid spill over receptacle, where the periphery is accessible and away from the hydraulic fluid assembly such that the spill over may be manually wiped up with a cloth rag instead of causing a slippery pontoon boat surface.
