An angle aiming mechanism for a light assembly. The angle aiming mechanism including a body, a gear rotational coupled to the light assembly and an angle adjuster movable between a first position and a second position. The angle adjuster engaging the gear when the angle adjuster is in the first position. The angle adjuster disengaging the gear when the angle adjuster is in the second position. The angle adjuster configured such that rotation of the angle adjuster in the first position changes an angle of the light assembly relative to a reference plane.

Airfield taxiway lights are described herein. One device includes a plurality of light sources, a plurality of prisms through which light emitted by the plurality of light sources is configured to pass, wherein the light emitted by each respective light source passes through a different one of the plurality of prisms, and a cover having a plurality of openings through which the light that passes through the plurality of prisms is configured to exit the airfield taxiway light, wherein each respective opening is positioned over a different one of the plurality of prisms.

An airfield light, components thereof, and associated methods. The airfield light can include a baffle including a baffle body and one or more baffle members secured to the baffle body. The baffle members are configured to cover portions of a baffle window. At least one light source is mounted in association with the baffle and emits light out of the baffle window. The baffle members cover portions of the baffle window for blocking light transmission therethrough. A method of assembling an airfield light includes arranging a baffle to shroud a light assembly and removing a baffle member to permit light from the light assembly to emit through a portion of a baffle window opened by removing the baffle member. A baffle for an airfield light is also disclosed.

The present invention provides an LED module that can prevent breakage of an LED chip due to pulse lighting for a flash when the LED module is used in a flashing lamp. An LED module (10) for flashing lamp includes: an LED substrate (13); plural LEDs (12); and plural resin layers (11). In the LED module (10), the LEDs (12) are mounted on a mounting surface of the LED substrate (13).Each resin layer (11) is stacked on a surface of each LED (12) opposite to the LED substrate (13). Adjacent resin layers (11) stacked on the LEDs (12) are separated from each other.

The present invention provides a lamp capable of preventing an increase in weight and dissipating heat of the LED module. The lamp of the present invention includes an LED module serving as a light source, a heat transfer unit, a light distribution unit, a casing including an opening, and a light transmissive cover. The LED module includes plural LEDs and an LED substrate having an LED-mounting surface on which the plural LEDs are mounted. The light distribution unit is disposed on a light emitting side of the LED module. The LED module and the light distribution unit are disposed in the casing. The light transmissive cover is disposed over the opening of the casing. The LED module is disposed in the casing to be distanced from the casing. The heat transfer unit is disposed such that heat of the LED module can be dissipated into the casing.

The present invention provides an attachment device for an aircraft landing guidance flashing light and an aircraft landing guidance flashing device that do not require adjustment of the angle of the flashing light at the time of attaching an aircraft landing guidance flashing light to the attachment device for an aircraft landing guidance flashing light. An attachment device for an aircraft landing guidance flashing light includes a pair of attachment arms 11; and a light emitting portion fixing plate 12. The light emitting portion fixing plate 12 detachably fixes an aircraft landing guidance flashing light. The light emitting portion fixing plate 12 is supported by the pair of attachment arms 11 such that an angle of the aircraft landing guidance flashing light is at a predetermined angle in a state where the aircraft landing guidance flashing light is fixed to the light emitting portion fixing plate.

An aerodrome system for an aerodrome is provided. The aerodrome system comprises a plurality of light emitting elements configured to emit light from a surface of the aerodrome upon which aircraft may take-off, land and manoeuvre; and a controller operatively coupled to each of the light emitting elements so as to selectively control the light emitting elements, wherein the light emitting elements form pixels of a display and the controller is configured to control an image displayed by the display so as to display and demarcate at least one runway for aircraft to take-off or land, wherein the light emitting elements are spaced such that the controller may display the runway with a variable orientation and the controller is further configured to change the image displayed by the display so as to change the orientation of the runway.

A light suitable for lighting take-off and landing runways and taxiways of airports that includes a housing cover provided with a light passage opening, an optical system including at least one light-emitting diode module with at least one LED-chain having a plurality of light-emitting diodes as light sources, a reflector, and a prism having a shape complementary to that of the light passage opening, an insert and a sealing ring, which is arranged between the housing cover and the insert. On an underside of the housing cover of the light, the at least one LED module and reflector are arranged in a first chamber, which is separated from a second chamber of the light by a seal including a flexible insulating and heat-conducting film arranged between the reflector and the underside of the housing cover.
