SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOAD CONTROL WITH DIFFUSION COMBUSTION IN A STOICHIOMETRIC EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION GAS TURBINE SYSTEM
A system is provided with a turbine combustor having a first diffusion fuel nozzle, wherein the first diffusion fuel nozzle is configured to produce a diffusion flame. The system includes a turbine driven by combustion products from the diffusion flame in the turbine combustor. The system also includes an exhaust gas compressor, wherein the exhaust gas compressor is configured to compress and route an exhaust gas from the turbine to the turbine combustor along an exhaust recirculation path. In addition, the system includes a control system configured to control flow rates of at least one oxidant and at least one fuel to the turbine combustor in a stoichiometric control mode and a non-stoichiometric control mode, wherein the stoichiometric control mode is configured to change the flow rates and provide a substantially stoichiometric ratio of the at least one fuel with the at least one oxidant, and the non-stoichiometric control mode is configured to change the flow rates and provide a non-stoichiometric ratio of the at least one fuel with the at least one oxidant.
Method for operating flue gas purification system
A method for operating a flue gas purification system, comprising, in the flue gas purification system, equipped with a boiler which can burn oil fuel and coal fuel either simultaneously or switching therebetween, a denitration equipment having a reducing agent injector and a catalytic reactor, an inlet flue to guide flue gas discharged from the boiler to the denitration equipment, an outlet flue to guide flue gas discharged from the denitration equipment, a bypass flue which can guide flue gas from the inlet flue to the outlet flue so as to bypass the denitration equipment, and a bypass damper, opening the bypass damper and burning oil fuel in the boiler being in condition not yet suitable for coal combustion to allow the flue gas discharged from the boiler to dividedly flow to the denitration equipment and the bypass flue, switching the oil fuel to coal fuel when the boiler is in condition suitable for coal combustion to burn the coal fuel in the boiler, closing the bypass damper after switching the oil fuel to the coal fuel, and then injecting a reducing agent when the catalytic reactor is in condition suitable for a denitration reaction.
COMBUSTION ASH HANDLING METHOD AND SYSTEM, AND PETROLEUM-BASED FUEL COMBUSTION PLANT
A combustion ash handling method of handling combustion ash discharged from a combustion furnace that combusts a petroleum-based fuel includes: separating the combustion ash into a heavy component and a light component by a dry-type separation technique; feeding the light component to the combustion furnace as a fuel; and recovering the heavy component. A metal such as vanadium is separated and extracted from the heavy component of the combustion ash.
CONTROL SYSTEM
A control system, for controlling an injection amount of a reducing agent injected into exhaust gas flowing from a coal-fired boiler in a thermal power generation facility toward a denitrification reactor of a denitrification device, includes: a first predictor predicting a first concentration of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas flowing toward the denitrification reactor based on first operation data of the thermal power generation facility; and a control device controlling the injection amount based on a predicted value of the first concentration. The first operation data includes at least either one of second operation data and third operation data, the second operation data being operation data of one or more coal pulverizers provided in the thermal power generation facility, and the third operation data being operation data of the coal-fired boiler affected by variation in operation conditions of the one or more coal pulverizers.
Combustion system
Provided is a combustion system using a catalyst having better denitration efficiency at low temperatures, during a selective catalytic reduction reaction in which ammonia is used as a reducing agent. This combustion system comprises: a combustion device that combusts fuel; an exhaust path through which flows exhaust gas generated from the combustion of fuel in the combustion device; a dust collection device that is arranged on the exhaust path and collects soot/dust in the exhaust gas; and a denitration device that is arranged on the exhaust path and removes nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas by means of a denitration catalyst, wherein the denitration device is arranged downstream of the dust collection device on the exhaust path, and the denitration catalyst contains vanadium oxide, has a carbon content of 0.05 wt % or more, and has a defect site in which oxygen deficiency occurs in a crystal structure.
GAS TURBINE WATER INJECTION FOR EMISSIONS REDUCTION
A water delivery system (18) for delivering water for injection into gas turbine engine combustor (4) includes a centrifugal pump (19) and a metering valve (23). The centrifugal pump (19) has an inlet (20) connected to a water source and a discharge (21) connected to a water supply line (22). The metering valve (23) is connected to the water supply line (22) downstream of the discharge (21) of the centrifugal pump (19). The water supply line (22) is connected to an injector nozzle (14) downstream of the metering valve (23). The metering valve (23) is operable to regulate a flow rate of water in the water supply line (22), to thereby meter an amount of water supplied to the injector nozzle (14).
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POTASSIUM SULPHATE
A process for the production of potassium sulphate by conversion of potassium chloride and sulphuric acid using a muffle furnace, said furnace comprising a reaction chamber and a combustion chamber, wherein in the reaction chamber potassium chloride (KCI) and potassium hydrogen sulfate (KHSO.sub.4) are reacted to form potassium sulphate while supplying heat to the reaction chamber from the combustion chamber, wherein the combustion chamber has at least a pair of regenerative burners and wherein the process comprises the steps of alternatingly causing one of the regenerative burners to perform a combustion operation in the combustion chamber to heat the reaction chamber and another of the regenerative burners to perform a heat-regenerating operation in a regenerator, wherein the pressure in the combustion chamber is kept at a pressure of between 0.2 and 3 mbarg.
Combustion device and gas turbine
A combustion device includes an ammonia supply unit supplying primary reduction ammonia as a nitrogen oxide reducing agent into a combustor and mixing secondary reduction ammonia with combustion exhaust gas discharged from the combustor to reduce nitrogen oxide contained in the combustion exhaust gas and a controller configured to control at least one of the amount of supply of the primary reduction ammonia and the amount of mixing of the secondary reduction ammonia with the combustion exhaust gas in accordance with concentrations of residual nitrogen oxide and residual ammonia contained in the combustion exhaust gas after being discharged from the combustor.
MONOLITHIC GAS TRAP ADSORBER FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY, COST EFFECTIVE, LOW-EMISSION CONDENSING FURNACE
An improved method and system for treating flue gases from a natural gas furnace are provided. The method and system include an acidic gas trap (AGT) adsorber which enables the continuous adsorption and storage of SOx, NOx redox, and formic acid/CO/HC/CH.sub.4 oxidation, with a negligible pressure drop. The AGT adsorber includes a catalyst coating having a nanotube structure (e.g., a uniform nanostructure forest coating) or a uniform porous nanostructure of various low-cost oxides through scalable low temperature solution processes, including oxides of Ti, Cu, Ba, Mn, Zr, Zn, Sr, Ca, Li, K, Na, Al, or Ce.
THERMAL POWER STATION EXHAUST GAS PROCESSING DEVICE
Proposed is an exhaust gas processing device for a thermal power station. The exhaust gas processing device includes: a diffusion module portion configured to adjust an exhaust gas flow, between a duct disposed on a rear end of a gas turbine of a thermal power station and the gas turbine, thereby inducing same toward an inner wall of the duct; a plurality of spray nozzles installed in a flow section, inside the duct, of an exhaust gas induced from the diffusion module portion toward the inner wall of the duct and protruding formed from the inner wall of the duct; a fluid supply pipe connected to the spray nozzles and being extended to the outside of the duct; and a fluid supply portion configured to supply liquid-phase contaminant processing fluid to the spray nozzles through the fluid supply pipe.
