SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STACK HEAT RECOVERY
A system and method are presented for recovering heat from flue gas produced by a recovery boiler in a pulp and paper mill, the recovery boiler having a flue stack. Flue gas is drawn from the flue stack and passed through a first and second condensing heat exchangers before exiting through a separate stack. The first heat exchanger is used to heat boiler feedwater whereas the second heat exchanger is used to produce process hot water for use in the pulp and paper mill. Steam previously used to heat the boiler feedwater and produce the process hot water can now be used to generate electricity that can be used for the pulp and paper mill operations or to export to the electrical power grid.
Recycling method and apparatus for soil contaminated with mercury and dioxin
The present disclosure provides a method for recycling soil contaminated with mercury and dioxin. The method includes: desorbing mercury and dioxin from the contaminated soil by an indirect rotary furnace; condensing the mercury and discharging it by a condensing and discharging unit; and a secondary indirect burner for decomposing dioxin at a high temperature, so as for the concentration of the contaminants in the exhaust being examined to meet regulation standards and the treated soil to meet the current regulations. The present disclosure also provides an apparatus for recycling contaminated soil containing mercury and dioxin.
Methods and equipment for treatment of odorous gas streams
A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method is used to prepare the stream for feeding to an oxidizer, such as a thermal oxidizer, to reduce the amount of particulate matter discharged by the oxidizer and includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled temperature condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, and one or more gas scrubbers prior to feeding to the oxidizer.
AIR PURIFICATION APPARATUS FOR COAL-FIRED ELECTRIC POWER PLANT
The present invention relates to an air purification apparatus for a coal-fired electric power plant, and more specifically to an air purification apparatus for a coal-fired electric power plant, which, first, can filter out wastes of contaminated smoke by using limewater, which, second, can filter out fine dust and carbon dioxide included in the smoke, which, third, can convert waste gas including carbon monoxide in a state in which only smoke remains into carbon dioxide by reacting oxygen with the waste gas and purify the smoke into clean air by allowing a sodium hydroxide solution to absorb the carbon dioxide, and which, fourth, can eliminate humidity from the clean air by passing the clean air through a moisture condenser a plurality of times and discharge clean air in a pure smoke state from the power plant.
Polygeneration production of power and fertilizer through emissions capture
Method for the production of ammonia, and optionally urea, from a flue gas effluent from an oxy-fired process, wherein the production of ammonia and optionally urea includes a net power production. Also provided is a method to effect cooling in an oxy-fired process with air separation unit exit gases utilizing either closed or open cooling loop cycles.
Powder discharge system
A powder discharge system is installed in a circulating water tank for collecting powder generated when an exhaust gas is treated in an exhaust gas treatment apparatus. The powder discharge system includes at least one eductor provided in the circulating water tank. The eductor has a nozzle configured to throttle a flow of water supplied from a pump for pumping water in the circulating water tank, a suction port configured to suck water in the circulating water tank into the eductor by utilizing a reduction of pressure generated when the flow of water is throttled by the nozzle, and a discharge port configured to eject the water sucked from the suction port together with the water discharged from the nozzle toward a bottom of the circulating water tank.
CARBON DIOXIDE CONVERSION APPARATUS AND CARBON DIOXIDE CONVERSION METHOD
A carbon dioxide conversion apparatus 1 includes: a carbon dioxide electrolysis part 3 that includes: a cathode chamber 8 to reduce carbon dioxide to produce carbon monoxide; and an anode chamber 9 to oxidize an oxidizable substance to produce oxygen and carbon dioxide; a carbon dioxide capture part 5 to separate and capture the carbon dioxide from an oxygen-carbon dioxide containing gas produced in the anode chamber 9; a carbon monoxide purification part 4 to purify the carbon monoxide in a carbon monoxide containing gas produced in the cathode chamber 8; and an oxidation part 6 to perform a reaction between a reducing gas and a carbon dioxide containing gas, the reducing gas containing a residual carbon monoxide discharged from the carbon monoxide purification part 4, and the carbon dioxide containing gas being separated and captured in the carbon dioxide capture part 5 and containing a residual oxygen.
Thermal power plant exhaust purification device
A thermal power plant exhaust purification device, the device including a cooling substance flow channel and an exhaust flow channel; the device also includes a spacing member for spacing and exchanging heat between the cooling substance flow channel and the exhaust flow channel, the spacing member having an exhaust contact surface for collecting dust and/or mist contained in the exhaust; the cooling substance flows in the cooling substance flow channel, such that the condensate precipitated from hot exhaust uniformly adheres on the exhaust contact surface, thus forming a uniform and stable water film; on one hand, formation of the concentrated H.sub.2SO.sub.4 on a dust collecting plate is prevented, and a liquid film flows downwards under gravity, thereby cleaning the H.sub.2SO.sub.4 adhered on the dust collecting plate timely; on the other hand, the water film is very effective in intercepting droplets and capturing the dust.
