Stretching device to restore and protect against the negative effects of prolonged sitting
The device and methods disclosed herein allow an individual to create and sustain a differential stretch to the anterior muscles and ligaments of the torso, hips, and legs. The device includes a base frame, a vertical member secured to the base frame, a rotational lift lever secured to the vertical member at a vertical pivot member, a lower extremity elevation member secured to the rotational lift lever, and at least one lower extremity attachment device secured to the lower extremity elevation member. In methods of use, the device lifts an individual's legs off the ground, while the person is lying face down, to create a stretch in the anterior muscles, fascia, or ligaments. The device has various planes of rotation, which allows for differential stretching in the various quadrants of the person's torso. The device is height adjustable and displaceable along a track to accommodate different body types.
Incliner apparatus
Wellness equipment is provided in the form of an incliner apparatus that can also serve as furniture. The incliner apparatus includes a body support structure and at least one ground engaging rocker coupled to the body support structure to support a user at a variable angular orientation or pitch in response to a position of the user on the body support structure. The incliner apparatus is configured such that the body support structure may assume a horizontal configuration when the incliner apparatus is in a state of equilibrium, and such that the body support structure may assume a declined configuration or an inclined configuration when the user lies on the body support structure with a center of gravity of the user offset from a central reference plane of the incliner apparatus.
Muscular training tension band for equestrian riding
A muscular training tension band for equestrian riding has an elastic body and a shoulder guard. In use, the elastic body is worn and stretched between a wearer's shoulder and contralateral foot, with the shoulder guard positioned on the shoulder. The tension band functions to recruit correct engagement of a horseback rider's postural stabilizing muscles in order to find a functionally effective and balanced pelvis in the saddle, while also protecting the spine and decreasing the risk of repetitive force related injuries.
CUSTOMIZABLE ANATOMICAL SACRAL-ISCHIAL APPARATUS
One of the most common health and fitness problems that modern-day humans face is the “Belly Bulge Syndrome”. This core problem is related to weakness of the abdominal muscle, mainly Rectus Abdominus muscle. The current invention provides a customizable anatomical sacral-ischial apparatus in different embodiments as multiple devices to assist the user to strengthen the abdominal and lower back muscle during exercise and rest. These devices are called HUMAN ABDOMINAL REHABILITATION DEVICES (“HARD”). The use of these devices can improve human health and fitness and contribute to a more active and fulfilling lifestyle.
APPARATUS FOR BACK IMPROVEMENT AND LOWER-BACK AND KNEES PAIN RELIEVING
An apparatus (100) for back improvement and lower-back pain and knees relieving, the apparatus comprising for each foot of a user, including a pedal (40) shiftable along a linear axis, for allowing a foot of the user to exert force on the pedal (40), a sensor (18), for continuously sensing a force exerted on the pedal (40) by the foot, a mechanism for exerting resistance force on the pedal, and a controller (10) for reading a sensing of the sensor, the controller being adapted to instruct the mechanism to exert continuous resistance force on the pedal such that the pedal submits to the foot.
EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device for targeted exercise of a lower back of a user includes a frame that can be positioned on a substantially horizontal surface. A plate is pivotally coupled to an apex of the frame to support a torso of a user in a selectable position relative to horizontal. Legs of the user extend over a front edge of the plate. A bar is hingedly coupled to the apex of the frame equally distant from opposing faces of the frame and is positioned to alternately swing toward the front edge and a rear edge of the plate when strapped to the legs of the user and with the user moving the legs in a pendulous motion. A resistance module is coupled to the bar distal from the plate and resists the swinging of the bar to exercise the lower back of the user.
ADJUSTABLE SEAL ROW BENCH ASSEMBLY
A seal row bench assembly includes a first bench and a second bench such that the first bench is configured to pivot about an axis relative to the second bench, an adjustable column coupled to the second bench that permits variable height of at least one of the first bench and the second bench, and a post assembly in communication with the first bench such that post assembly has one or more index locations to locate the first bench at a set angle relative to the second bench. Variations of the assembly include coupling the first bench to the second bench using a hinge and coupling the first bench to a second column using a hinge.
PROTECTIVE ROWING DEVICE
A protective rowing device for compression of the abdomen is provided that comprises a brace and U-shaped support member that may connect to a rowing machine seat and rail.
Chair Exerciser
The Chair Exerciser is an apparatus and method to exercise one's core, back, and legs while working on tasks that are normally performed seated. These tasks include computer work, watching television, or computer gaming. The Chair Exerciser fits on a regular chair and one sits upon it. The Chair Exerciser's resistance can be adjusted to the suit the needs of the user. The multitasking of work and exercise is an attractive benefit to the Chair Exerciser. The Chair Exerciser can also be formed as an integral part of the chair as opposed to a portable unit.
EXERCISE MACHINE AND METHODS OF USE FOR STRENGTHENING THE LUMBOPELVIC COMPLEX
An exercise machine is used to train the low back core musculature and lumbopelvic complex. The exercise machine can also be used to provide stability to the lumbar spinal column. The exercise machine includes a stationary bench substantially parallel to the floor and a rotating bench that is capable of rotating at an angle α about an axis, wherein the axis is located between the stationary bench and the rotating bench. A resistance means is used to adjust the amount of force required to move a resistance bar away from the rotating bench, while performing at least one of: a plank, a side plank, a bird-dog, a superman, a lumbar extension, a glute bridge, a single leg raise, a dual-leg raise, a bent leg raise, or a resisted push-up.
