Enthalpy Heat Exchanger
The invention relates to a counter flow enthalpy exchanger (1) having a parallelogram-shaped central part (11), whose ends in the flow direction through the exchanger it is joined by end parts (12, 13), which become narrower in the direction from the central part (11), whereby in order to separate the flow of the heat-transfer medium in the direction from the inner space to the outer space are arranged contour identical and with respect to the flowing medium sealed vapour-permeable lamellae (10) with shaping means for generating turbulent flow, whereby every two adjacent lamellae (10) form one interplate flow channel in the central part (11) one interplate flow channel. The lamella (10) is made as a one-piece self-supporting moulding common to the central part (11) and the end parts (12, 13), whereby it does not have a reinforcing support grid. Two adjacent lamellae (10) form one interplate flow channel in the end part (12, 13), in the walls of which are formed straight protrusions (121, 131) situated in the direction of the heat-transfer medium flow between the central part (11) and corresponding inlet or outlet of this medium.
Curved cross-flow heat exchanger
A curved cross-flow heat exchanger including a first flow path for a first fluid stream which is arranged substantially at right angles to a second flow path for a second fluid stream, wherein: the first flow path is confined within one or more heat exchanger sections that bridge between opposite sides of the heat exchanger, the one or more heat exchanger sections having a leading edge positioned in the second flow path, wherein each of the one or more heat exchanger sections is a curved laminated heat exchanger section and comprises a leading edge that is curved in a direction normal to the second flow path.
Methods and devices for heating or cooling viscous materials
Methods and devices heat or cool viscous materials, such as meat emulsions useful for producing food and other products. The devices have a heat exchanger including a first plate, a second plate attached to the first plate, and a first spacer and a second spacer arranged between the first plate and the second plate. The first plate, the second plate, the first spacer, and the second spacer define at least one temperature controlled passage for a product to pass through the heat exchanger.
HEAT EXCHANGER, AND EXHAUST HEAT RECOVERY APPARATUS HAVING THE HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger comprises a plurality of heat exchange segments juxtaposed in a housing, and a plug member connected fluid-tightly to the housing, and supporting the heat exchange segments to provide a coolant or cooling medium passage in each gap between the heat exchange segments adjacent to each other. Each heat exchange segment comprises a case having an opening only on a surface of the case, at least outside of the opening being plugged fluid-tightly by the plug member, and a guide member, e.g., fin accommodated in the case, and provided with a plurality of passages allowing only gas flow in a predetermined direction, and gas intake passages and gas exhaust passages at the upstream and downstream thereof, wherein an opening of the case is provided with a gas inlet port communicated with the gas intake passage, and a gas outlet port communicated with the gas exhaust passages.
HEAT EXCHANGER WITH PARTIAL-HEIGHT FOLDED FINS
A heat exchanger has a plurality of plates having opposed surfaces and side walls extending beyond the opposed surfaces to a height (h); and a fin pack extending from one opposed surface toward an opposed surface of an adjacent plate, and having a fin height (f), wherein the fin height (f) is equal to or less than the height (h). The plates can be stacked to form a heat exchanger assembly with a gap between adjacent fin packs.
Thermal Storage Device for Climate Control System
A heat pump includes a compressor, a metering device, a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a first fan, a second fan, and a refrigerant circuit between the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger. A thermal storage device coupled to the refrigerant circuit is configured to store thermal energy when the refrigerant fluid is above a threshold temperature and discharge thermal energy when the refrigerant fluid is below the threshold temperature. The heat pump is operated in a heating mode in which heat is transferred from the refrigerant fluid at the first heat exchanger and the temperature of the refrigerant fluid at the thermal storage device is above the threshold temperature, and a defrost mode in which heat is transferred to the refrigerant fluid at the first heat exchanger and the temperature of the refrigerant fluid at the thermal storage device is below the threshold temperature.
Methods and devices for heating or cooling viscous materials
The invention provides methods and devices for heating or cooling viscous materials such as meat emulsions useful for producing food and other products. The first plate, the second plate, the first spacer, and the second spacer define at least one temperature controlled passage for a product to pass through the heat exchanger.
Heat exchanger, heat recovery ventilator including the same, and method for defrosting and checking operations thereof
The present invention relates to a heat exchanger, a method for manufacturing the same, a heat recovery ventilator (HRV) including the same, and a method for defrosting and checking operations thereof.
HEAT EXCHANGER
Provided is a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger may include a plurality first through third heat exchange pipes connected between a first side part and a second side part, each of which comprising a path of moving heat-exchanger fluid inside; first blisters formed on the outer side surfaces of the first side part and the second side part, thereby connecting gaps between each neighboring first heat exchange pipe; second blisters formed on the outer side surface of the first side part, thereby connecting the first heat exchange pipes with the second heat exchange pipes or the second heat exchange pipes with the third second heat exchange pipes; and third blisters formed on the outer side surface of the second side part, thereby connecting neighboring second heat exchange pipes or neighboring third heat exchange pipes. The second heat exchange pipes may be spaced apart from the first heat exchange pipes and formed above the first heat exchange pipes and the third heat exchange pipes may be spaced apart from the second heat exchange pipes and formed above the second heat exchange pipes.
Modular Plate and Shell Heat Exchanger
A modular plate and shell heat exchanger in which welded pairs of heat transfer plates are tandemly spaced and coupled in parallel between an inlet and outlet conduit to form a heat transfer assembly. The heat transfer assembly is placed in the shell in order to transfer heat from a secondary to a primary fluid. Modules of one or more of the heat transfer plates are removably connected using gaskets at the inlet and outlet conduits which are connected to a primary fluid inlet and a primary fluid outlet nozzle. The heat transfer assembly is supported by a structure which rests on an internal track which is attached to the shell and facilitates removal of the heat transfer plates. The modular plate and shell heat exchanger has a removable head integral to the shell for removal of the heat transfer assembly for inspection, maintenance and replacement.
