The disclosure provides a sling adjustment for increased reliability and performance compared to conventional cam and slide adjustments. The disclosed sling adjustment is a single hardware piece that includes a slider and a cam. The sling adjustment includes an antilock wedge to prevent or at least reduce binding when using the sliding feature in the tightening direction. Extruded pins are also disclosed that can reduce the cost and the number of components that are needed for reliable performance. In one example, the sling adjustment includes: (1) a slider having a pair of side walls, and (2) a cam, positioned within the pair of side walls, having an antilock wedge and a center slider bar, wherein the antilock wedge is located on a forward side of the center slider bar.

Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to a rapid adjust buckle for a rifle sling. The buckle can include a main buckle portion with a pair of side portions and a handle portion extending between the pair of side portions and over the main buckle portion to define a handle aperture. In various embodiments the handle portion and the main buckle portion are a unitary piece composed of a polymer material with the handle portion being flexibly biased towards an uncompressed open shape such that the handle portion is configured to compress against the main buckle portion in response to a compressing force but return to the uncompressed open shape when the compressing force is relieved. In one or more embodiments the handle portion includes a plurality of jointed connection points configured to flatten the profile of the handle portion when the handle portion is exposed to the compressing force.

The invention is a versatile and modular sling for carrying a firearm around a user's neck, torso, or over one shoulder. The sling includes a closed sling loop formed from an elastic cord, a primary strap secured to a portion of the sling loop that is operable to anchor the sling loop in a given orientation relative to the firearm, and a secondary strap releasably attached to the sling loop that is slidable along the length of the sling loop to easily convert the sling between one-point, two-point, and three-point configurations. The sling can be attached to the firearm by use of studs or swivels in a conventional manner or can be attached directly to the firearm by using adjustable loops at each end of each strap.

The tether may have a selected first width along at least a portion of its length, and the free end may have a second width greater than the first width. A ball may be attached to the free end. The body may define a channel having a width larger than the first width and smaller than the second width. There may be an aperture adjacent to the channel.

The frame may include a pivot pin spanning the aperture. The frame aperture may be rectangular, and the rotor may be rectangular. The frame may be a planar body, and the rotor may have a planar body portion coplanar with the frame when in the engaged position. The rotor may have a handle element extending away from the planar body portion. The handle element may extend perpendicularly from the planar body portion.
