BALL RETURN ASSEMBLY
A ball return assembly is configured to return a ball to a user. The ball return assembly has a base arranged on a ground surface with a first opening and a second opening. An elastic cord is threaded through the first opening and the second opening. A cord lock is joined to the cord first end, preventing the cord from being pulled from the base. A ball is joined to the cord. A frame is arranged proximate the base. The ball, upon contacting the frame, is pulled by the cord toward the base.
Training apparatus and method for teaching and practicing skills for sports
A training apparatus for teaching and practicing skills for sports. The apparatus includes at least one removable electronic device having at least one proximity sensor, a playing surface having a cavity which receives the at least one removable electronic device, and a gamepiece, such as a ball. Each proximity sensor is adapted to sense the gamepiece and activates a visual or audio indicator on the at least one removable electronic device if the gamepiece is within a range of the at least one proximity sensor.
GOLF SWING TRAINING KIT
A golf swing training kit includes a training system having a ball and an anchor connected together by a tether and one or more tees. The golf swing training kit also includes a rack including a ball receptacle configured to removably receive the ball of the training system, an anchor socket configured to removably receive the anchor of the training system, one or more tee sockets configured to removably receive the one or more tees, and a spool configured to removably receive the tether of the training system.
Sports throwing motion training device
The invention includes a throwing motion training system and device configured to track arm motion and provide predictive ball motion data without the athlete ever having to release the device is provided. The device is configured with a plurality of sensors configured to transmit motion data to data analysis software internal to the device or configured on an external computing system. The data analysis software is configured to prepare and share motion tracking data and predictive ball motion data.
BATTING PRACTICE SYSTEMS
A batting practice system; the system includes a physical apparatus for baseball and softball batting practice, which simulates pitches with a ball attached to the apparatus. The system may include a vertical support post having a base end and a top end, a projecting arm having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end attached to the top end of the vertical support post, a rod swivel-mounted on the distal end of the projecting arm; the rod configured to hang in a generally vertical position, a ball mounted at a lower end of the rod, a base member configured to support the vertical support post on a ground surface; and a home-plate representation fixed to the base member in a position below the ball.
Mixed-reality sports tracking and simulation
A mixed-reality sport simulation system includes a projectile-tracking sub-system to generate projectile-tracking data when a projectile is launched by a user, a near-eye display to display mixed-reality virtual objects displayed over physical objects within a field of view of a user representing lines of sight of the user, and a controller. The controller may direct the near-eye display to display a mixed-reality environment including virtual objects within the field of view. The near-eye display may provide an unobstructed real-world view for view vectors below a selected pitch angle and at least a portion of the mixed-reality environment for view vectors above a selected pitch angle. The controller may receive projectile-tracking data in real-time from the projectile-tracking sub-system and may direct the near-eye display to display one or more virtual objects representing a trajectory of the projectile within the mixed-reality environment in real-time based on the projectile-tracking data.
Golf-training apparatus
Described is an apparatus for practicing a golf swing in either an indoor or outdoor environment. The apparatus includes a frame with a leg portion, a rebounding surface, an arm with a cord that is secured to golf ball, and a mat. A golfer can practice a golf swing by striking the ball secured to the cord, and receives instantaneous feedback based on the ball's trajectory, sound produced when the ball hits the rebounding surface, and divot markings imprinted on the mat.
Apparatus, system, and method for measurement and storage of standardized physical fitness data
An apparatus and system for obtaining metrics associated with a user's athleticism. In an embodiment, the user performs a workout using the apparatus, and the workout is scored based on a scoring system. In an embodiment, the scoring system may be objective, thereby facilitating score standardization, and individual users for which scores have been recorded may be ranked by the system. In an embodiment, individual users may associate their system profiles with one or more positions for one or more sports. The rankings may be filtered by position and sport to facilitate identification of one or more users of interest, such as for a college recruiting purposes or professional sports team drafts.
Basketball training device
The present invention relates to a training device for basketball consisting of a support member that is mounted on the ceiling and a target member suspended below the support member. The player lays on the floor below the device and tosses a basketball at the target member.
