SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR ATHLETIC DRILL TRAINING USING NETWORKED DEVICES
A system and methods for athletic drill training using networked devices is presented. The networked devices are placed to lay out a drill for an athlete, and they include a sound source to indicate to the athlete where they should be at a given time. The system and methods are flexible enough to be used for most athletic drills. An input device for indicating the athlete is near the networked device can be added for agility drills.
FOOTBALL TRAINING APPARATUS
Apparatus for football training is provided which includes a circular wall having an inward facing surface to support rebound of a football, which has been struck in a radial direction against this surface, back along said radial direction towards the centre of the circular wall. Multiple target indications are provided at respective angular locations around the circular wall. The apparatus has a control system for activating a series of target indications in sequence, and a monitoring system for determining whether the inward facing surface of the wall has been struck at the angular location corresponding to an activated target indication.
SPORTS TRAINING AID
A sports training aid comprising a frame with skate-like and hockey stick-like members attached thereto and including transverse member arranged to support a backboard to simulate an opposing player. This training aid is intended to assist the novice hockey player in developing the skills associated with maneuvering the hockey puck around and/or through an opponent. The device consists of a frame having a longitudinal member connected to a transverse member, the transverse member having leg members each terminating in a skate simulation member and a distal end of the longitudinal member terminating in a hockey stick-like member, an upright frame member supports a backboard.
HEADS UP SPORTS TRAINING SYSTEM
The sports training system includes a first housing including a transmitter; a second housing including a receiver and a wireless communication module; a plurality of illuminating targets in communication with the wireless communication module; and a remote control in wireless communication with the transmitter, the receiver, and the plurality of illuminating targets. In operation, the transmitter projects a transmission and the receiver is positioned laterally away from the transmitter and receives the transmission. In response to an object passing between the transmitter and receiver, the receiver is blocked from receiving the transmission. In response to the receiver being blocked from receiving the transmission, a selected one of the targets illuminates. Input from the remote control controls operation of one of the transmitter, the receiver, or one of the plurality of illuminating targets.
Defensive Line Shoot Drill Apparatuses and Methods
An apparatus has a front, lower section and a back, higher section coupled to the front, lower section and coupled to a dummy, such that a football player can strike a three-point stance under the front lower section, move outward and upward, and tackle the dummy.
System for performing motor activity
Disclosed is a system for performing motor activity, including a plurality of modular devices, each modular device including a unit for generating at least one sensory stimulus, a generation unit activation unit and a mechanism for detecting a human reaction to the stimuli, there being provided an external control unit intended to generate commands for the activation unit of each modular device. The external control unit includes a unit for measuring the parameters acquired by one or more sensors associated with the body of at least one person.
DRIBBLE CROSSOVER TRAINING DEVICE
An athletic training device for teaching a crossover dribble skill comprised of an arc member coupled to weighted bases where the device is self-righting. The training device teaches players that the crossover dribble skill is low and has a significant horizontal component by passing the basketball underneath the arc member. The training device is self-righting due to the curved lower surface of the weighted bases as well as the weighted bases having a top and bottom chamber where only the bottom chamber is filled.
Modular training device
A modular training device for use by athletes to improve their stick-handling skills. More specifically, a modular training device comprising a main body having two side projections that are structured and configured to together define a central channel therebetween; and at least one hollow circular base portion located below the main body and structured and configured to receive and secure a hockey puck. The central channel may have a top opening and a channel floor, and each side projection may have a first tab projecting into the central channel for releasably securing an elongated object in a horizontal configuration within the central channel. The modular training device may be hollow so that it can couple with one or more additional modular training devices.
Sand pit training bag
A sand training bag for sand and/or mineral training in an open and closed configuration. The sand pit training bags includes a sand pit training bag configuration comprising at least one fastener and at least one overlaying fabric around the perimeter to open flat on a surface. The sand training bag includes attachable wall structure, wherein the surface attachable wall structure is configured with a sand pit training bag in an open configuration visible relative to a sand or mineral pit held by one or more fasteners. The sand training bag includes a single sand pit training bag, wherein the single sand pit training bag is convertible to a single sand pit with at least one attachable perimeter wall around the perimeter of the open sand or mineral receiving surface configuration, wherein a top cover is configured to be viewed as a sand or mineral pit closed configuration.
Athletic training system and method
An athletic training system (200) has a data recording system (202) and a data engine (204). The data recording system (202) is configured to record an athletic competition event. The event may have a first team of players competing against a second team of players. The data engine (204) is configured to receive data associated with the recorded athletic competition event. The data engine (204) processes the data and displays the data as a replay of the event in animated form.
