CATALYTIC CONVERTER
A catalytic converter includes at least one heating element that is configured to disrupt the direction of flow of exhaust gases which contain harmful toxic gases and pollutants and aid in removing and/or reducing said toxic gases and pollutants.
Exhaust purification system of internal combustion engine
An exhaust purification system includes an electrochemical reactor provided in an engine exhaust passage; a bypass passage bypassing the electrochemical reactor; a flow control valve controlling an amount of exhaust gas, discharged from an engine body, flowing into the electrochemical reactor and the bypass passage; and a control device controlling the flow control valve. The electrochemical reactor includes a holding material holding NO.sub.X or HC and is configured so as to purify NO.sub.X or HC held at the holding material if energized. The control device controls the flow control valve so as to control the amount of exhaust gas flowing into the electrochemical reactor so that a temperature of the electrochemical reactor is maintained at less than a desorption start temperature where NO.sub.X or HC starts to be desorbed from the holding material.
Power cable with an overmolded probe for power transfer to a non-thermal plasma generator and a method for constructing the overmolded probe
A transfer module for transferring power to a non-thermal plasma generator includes a power cable; a first epoxy; a second epoxy; an interface between the first epoxy and the second epoxy; and a well; the power cable including a conductor for conducting electrical power and an insulation layer for surrounding a portion of the conductor; the first epoxy being located within the well to surround the insulation layer; the second epoxy being located within the well to surround the conductor located within the well; the second epoxy being located outside the well to surround the conductor located outside the well.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE HAVING CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE AND FUEL ADDITIVE SYNTHESIS SYSTEM
Separation of carbon dioxide from the exhaust of an internal combustion engine, the production of hydrogen from water, and reformation of carbon dioxide and hydrogen into relatively high-octane fuel components.
EXHAUST PIPE DEVICE
An exhaust pipe device according to an embodiment includes a dielectric pipe; a radio-frequency electrode; a ground electrode; and a plasma generation circuit. The radio-frequency electrode is disposed on an outer periphery side of the dielectric pipe and a radio-frequency voltage is applied to the radio-frequency electrode. The ground electrode is disposed on an end portion side of the dielectric pipe such that a distance from the radio-frequency electrode is smaller on an inner side than on an outer side of the dielectric pipe, and a ground potential is applied to the ground electrode. The plasma generation circuit generates plasma inside the dielectric pipe. The exhaust pipe device functions as a part of an exhaust pipe disposed between a film forming chamber and a vacuum pump that exhausts gas inside the film forming chamber.
Control device for internal combustion engine
An exhaust passage includes a main passage and bypass passage, a catalyst, an exhaust control valve, and an HC adsorbent in the bypass passage. The exhaust control valve is controlled so that, when a temperature of the catalyst is higher than a predetermined sintering occurrence temperature, the quality of HC desorbed from the HC adsorbent is greater when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing through the upstream exhaust passage portion is a lean air-fuel ratio compared to when it is a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio or rich air-fuel ratio, or the quality of HC desorbed from the HC adsorbent is greater when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing through the upstream exhaust passage portion is a larger lean air-fuel ratio compared to when it is a smaller lean air-fuel ratio.
Exhaust system and features thereof
An exhaust system that includes a catalytic converter, selective catalytic reduction system, a muffler and, for certain applications, a diesel particulate filter that each include at least one filter that has an electric heating element, a metallic coating and a plurality of metal rods extending therethrough. The combination of elements are configured to heat the internal housings of the exhaust system and disrupt the direction of flow of exhaust gases which contain harmful toxic gases and pollutants and aid in removing and/or reducing said toxic gases and pollutants.
Apparatus and method for electron irradiation scrubbing
The present disclosure relates to methods of scrubbing of gas by exposure to electrons and apparatuses therefor. Such methods and apparatuses could be used to reduce harmful emissions created by the burning of fossil fuels, e.g. to power ships. According to one aspect there is provided apparatus for electron irradiation scrubbing, said apparatus comprising: an anode; a cathode a nanostructure located between said anode and said cathode, said nanostructure being configured to field-emit electrons in response to the presence of an electric field between the anode and cathode when a potential difference is established therebetween; and a housing coupled to said nanostructure and configured for locating the nanostructure so that it extends into a container containing gas to be scrubbed such that an interior of said container can be exposed to said electrons. According to further aspects there are provided systems comprising such apparatus and methods making use of it.
Medicinal composition of extract of seed of Emblica officinalis and method of preparing the same
A composition having an extract of seed of Emblica officinalis. Methods of preparing extract of seed of Emblica officinalis. An amla seed blend composition having various ratios of extracts of seeds of Emblica officinalis. Nutraceutical or pharmaceutical methods for decreasing the total cholesterol, decreasing triglyceride, decreasing blood glucose level, enhancing HDL-C levels, increasing the HDL-C level to total cholesterol ratio, lowering LDL-C levels, decreasing the CRP level, decreasing the intima media thickening, reducing hair fall in mammals especially human beings. The extract of seed of Emblica officinalis, or the amla seed blend composition is more effective compared to extracts prepared from fruits of Emblica officinalis.
ISOLATED PLASMA TUBE TREATMENT SYSTEMS
Systems, methods, and apparatus are contemplated in which a tube cell that produces a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is individually configured to minimize the mixing of unwanted byproducts of the generated plasma with an exhaust air stream. The tube cell generates a DBD within a tube cell, such that oxidants or radicals are generated in an environment substantially separated from the exhaust stream. The generated oxidants are directed to intersect with the exhaust stream to minimize the generation of unwanted byproducts. The tube cells are further shaped and arranged in tube cell arrays to alter the flow dynamics of the exhaust stream and the oxidant or radical streams, including mixing of the streams.
