Controllable lubricating oil delivery system for internal combustion engines
An adjustable lubrication oil conveying system for a combustion engine is proposed which comprises a screw pump for conveying lubrication oil with at least one screw rotatably accommodated in a screw chamber, wherein the screw pump is arranged such that a suction side of the screw chamber is connected with an intake path from an oil sump of the combustion engine, and a pressure side of the screw chamber is connected with a feed path to moving parts of the combustion engine. The lubrication oil conveying system is characterised in particular in that the screw pump is driven by the combustion engine; and towards the suction side of the screw chamber, an adjustable throttle valve is provided by means of which a flow cross-section of the intake path is gradually limitable between an opened position and a closed position. Therefore, the oil pressure in a combustion engine is, for the first time, adjusted by suction throttling in connection with a screw pump.
COMPRESSOR
A compressor includes a deformable groove spaced apart from a key groove and deformable to reduce an impact force or stress generated at an Oldham's ring.
Compressor Bearing
A compressor may include a shell assembly, a first scroll, a second scroll, a driveshaft, and a bearing. The first scroll includes a first end plate and a first spiral wrap extending from the first end plate. The second scroll includes a second end plate and a second spiral wrap extending from the second end plate. The spiral wraps engage each other to form fluid pockets. The driveshaft may engage one of the scrolls. The bearing supports the driveshaft for rotation relative to the shell assembly. The bearing includes first and second axial ends and an aperture extending through the first and second axial ends. The driveshaft extends through the aperture. The aperture is defined by an inner diametrical surface of the bearing. The inner diametrical surface may include a tapered portion that extends radially outward as the tapered portion extends axially toward the first axial end of the bearing.
FLUSHING OF A TOUCHDOWN BEARING
A compressor with a touchdown bearing and a supply line for injecting a working fluid toward the touchdown bearing, and a vapor compression system incorporating the same are provided. The supply line injects working fluid approximately continuously when the compressor is operational. The compressor includes a magnetic bearing for levitating the rotating shaft when the compressor is operational. The touchdown bearing is used to support the rotating shaft when the compressor is shutdown. The touchdown bearing may be disposed, at least partially, between a pair of races. The injecting of the working fluid may cause the touchdown bearing to rotate between the races. The injecting of the working fluid may help mitigate a buildup of a debris between the touchdown bearing and the races.
COMPRESSOR
A compressor includes a casing that defines an oil storage space and an opening that discharges refrigerant to an outside of the casing, a rotatable shaft disposed in the casing, a driver coupled to an inner circumferential surface of the casing and configured to rotate the rotatable shaft, a compression assembly coupled to the rotatable shaft and configured to compress and discharge the refrigerant to an inside of the casing, a muffler coupled to the compression assembly and configured to guide the refrigerant discharged from the compression assembly toward the opening, where the muffler being is configured to exchange heat with the refrigerant, and a heat radiating member that is coupled to the muffler and extends to the oil storage space and contacts the oil in the oil storage space. The muffler is configured to exchange heat with the oil through the heat radiating member.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a scroll compressor. The scroll compressor includes: a fixed scroll having an end plate and a fixed scroll wrap extending from the end plate; an orbiting scroll having an orbiting scroll wrap, the orbiting scroll wrap being engaged with the fixed scroll wrap to form a plurality of compression chambers for compressing a medium; a channel formed in the end plate of the fixed scroll, the channel leading to one compression chamber of the plurality of compression chambers; and a valve provided on the end plate of the fixed scroll, and configured to open when a pressure in the one compression chamber is higher than a predetermined pressure threshold so as to allow the medium in the one compression chamber to flow out of the one compression chamber through the channel. The scroll compressor according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, for example, can improve the performance of the scroll compressor.
OIL PUMP AND SCROLL COMPRESSOR
The present invention provides a vertical, axial flow oil pump (10). The oil pump includes: a casing (11), the casing having a cylindrical shape as a whole and being able to rotate around its own central axis (O); a suction port (12), located at a lower end of the casing in an axial direction, and configured to suck oil into the oil pump; a discharge port (13), located at an upper end of the casing in the axial direction, and configured to discharge the oil from the oil pump to outside; and an impeller (14), provided in and formed integrally with the casing. The impeller rotates together with the casing when the casing rotates, so that the oil is flowed from the suction port to the discharge port. The present invention also provides a scroll compressor having the oil pump.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR
Provided is a scroll compressor with enhanced sealing structure of a back pressure chamber. The scroll compressor includes a housing, a fixed scroll fixed to inside of the housing and including a fixed wrap, an orbit scroll including an orbit wrap which forms a compression chamber together with the fixed wrap, a back pressure chamber formed at a frame supporting the orbit scroll, and accommodating refrigerant for pressurizing the orbit scroll to a direction of the fixed scroll, and a sealing ring arranged between the fixed scroll and the orbit scroll to prevent the refrigerant in the back pressure chamber from flowing in or out through a gap between the fixed scroll and the orbit scroll, wherein the sealing ring includes a cut portion cut for the sealing ring to be deformable in a circumferential direction.
Scroll fluid machine and tip seal
The present invention improves performance of a scroll fluid machine by effectively exhibiting a function of a tip seal installed at a tooth tip of a wall body even when a continuous slope is provided to the wall body. A slope in which the distance between opposing surfaces of opposing end plates continuously reduces from the outer peripheral surface toward the inner peripheral surface is provided, and a tip seal (7) that comes into contact with an opposing tooth bottom so as to seal a fluid is provided to a tip seal groove (3d) formed at a tooth tip of a wall body (3b) corresponding to the slope. A groove bottom (3d1) of the tip seal groove (3d) is formed into a shape in which the center portion (3d2) in the groove width direction deepest. The tip seal (7) is formed such that the center portion (7a1), in the width direction, of the bottom (7a) of the tip seal (7) facing the groove bottom (3d1) projects farther than both side portions (7a2).
