SYSTEMS FOR A TURBOCHARGER
Various methods and systems are provided for a radial turbocharger. In one example, the turbocharger comprises a turbine case housing a turbine wheel and a compressor case housing a compressor wheel, the turbine case including a vaneless turbine nozzle integrated into the turbine case, a bearing case surrounding a shaft connecting the turbine wheel to the compressor wheel and arranged between the turbine case and compressor case, a plurality of long bolts arranged around a circumference of the turbine case, and a plurality of slots arranged around a circumference of the turbine case, a slot length of each slot extending in a radial direction and adapted to receive a dowel pin having a diameter smaller than the slot length, where each dowel pin, via a corresponding slot, couples the bearing case to the turbine case.
Stabilizers and bearings for extreme wear applications
Downhole tools such as bearing assemblies and stabilizers are described for withstanding abrasive and erosive wear in operation. These stabilizers and bearing assemblies employ wear-resistant hard materials such as TSP, PCD, leached WC, and SCD composite materials. A bond between a braze material and wear tiles constructed of a hard phase material may include a non-planar interface with the braze material. Self-lubricating materials may be provided within the braze material or the hard material in some instances.

VARIABLE GUIDE BEARING
A guide bearing system including a pad adjuster to traverse at least one bearing in a direction to adjust a radial clearance. The system can further include a sensor for measuring deviations in the radial clearance. In some embodiments, the guide bearing system includes a controller that receives a distance signal from the sensor measuring the radial clearance and signals the pad adjuster to traverse the at least one bearing to compensate for the deviations in the radial clearance.
Marine vessel shaft bearing overheat monitor and alarm system
A monitor and alarm system is provided for a marine vessel having a rotatable propeller drive shaft supported by one or more water-cooled bearings contained in strut barrels mounted on struts extending from the vessel hull or in stern tube assemblies. A heat sensor on the hull senses the ambient temperature of the water surrounding the vessel and one or more sensors on one or more bearings sense the temperature of the bearings. The sensed temperatures are electrically communicated via wires or wirelessly to gauges for monitoring and to a processing unit. The processing unit compares the sensed temperatures and generates a signal to an alarm device to initiate a bearing overheat warning or alarm if the differential between the bearing temperature and the ambient water temperature exceeds a predetermined amount.

Bearing assembly for use in axial-flow cardiopulmonary bypass blood pumps and related pumps
Embodiments of the invention relate to bearing assemblies and associated cardiopulmonary bypass blood pumps in which the bearing assembly includes a stator and a rotor each including bearing surfaces oriented so as to be generally opposed to one another. The bearing surface may comprise a polycrystalline diamond material including a plurality of bonded diamond grains defining a plurality of interstitial regions therebetween, in which a non-metallic catalyst (e.g., a carbonate) and/or at least one derivative thereof is disposed interstitially between the bonded diamond grains.
Polyurethane elastomer composition and bearing material
Provided are a polyurethane elastomer composition excellent in the abrasion resistance and swelling resistance, and a bearing material formed of the polyurethane elastomer composition. The polyurethane elastomer composition contains a polyurethane elastomer of 100 parts by mass, polyethylene wax of 325 parts by mass, and paraffin wax of 110 parts by mass. Further, preferably the polyurethane elastomer composition contains a cobalt based compound of 0.110 parts by mass.
