CONTROLLER DEVICE WITH SEPARABLE PORTIONS
Controller devices can provide a user with multiple modes of operation. For example, the user can hold and operate the controller device in a first configuration for control of a first device and/or first mode of a device (e.g. augmented reality or virtual reality programming), and the user can hold and operate controller segments of the controller device in a second configuration for control of a second device and/or second mode of a device (e.g. navigating an interface). The controller segments can be selectively engaged and disengaged to facilitate user operation in the different modes.
CONTROLLER DEVICE WITH SEPARABLE PORTIONS
Controller devices can provide a user with multiple modes of operation. For example, the user can hold and operate the controller device in a first configuration for control of a first device and/or first mode of a device (e.g. augmented reality or virtual reality programming), and the user can hold and operate controller segments of the controller device in a second configuration for control of a second device and/or second mode of a device (e.g. navigating an interface). The controller segments can be selectively engaged and disengaged to facilitate user operation in the different modes.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
A housing of an example of an electronic apparatus has a top surface and a bottom surface and has a flat shape. A power supply section having a flat shape is a power supply section, which is a housing case capable of accommodating a battery or is a battery, and the power supply section is provided at a position inside the housing that intersects with a reference plane perpendicular to the up-down direction. A first substrate is provided parallel to the reference plane on the top surface side relative to the power supply section. A second substrate is provided parallel to the reference plane on the bottom surface side relative to the power supply section. The electronic apparatus includes at least one of a vibrator and a speaker at a position that intersects with the reference plane.
OPERATING DEVICE
An operating device has: a lever configured to be operated by tilting; a resistor having a flat strip shape and provided on a surface of a substrate; and a slider configured to change an output voltage value by sliding on a surface of the resistor in accordance with tilting operation of the lever. In this operating device, the resistor has a low-resistance portion that has a lower resistance value than other portions of the resistor, and that is a portion in contact with the slider when the lever is in a neutral position.
OPERATING DEVICE
An operating device has: a lever configured to be operated by tilting; a resistor having a flat strip shape and provided on a surface of a substrate; and a slider configured to change an output voltage value by sliding on a surface of the resistor in accordance with tilting operation of the lever. In this operating device, the resistor has a low-resistance portion that has a lower resistance value than other portions of the resistor, and that is a portion in contact with the slider when the lever is in a neutral position.
GAME DEVICE AND PROGRAM
A game is provided that enables a game element to be raised through an intuitive operation input. A game device includes components collectively configured to: execute processing related to the raising game; display the game element; accept an operation input related to raising of the game element; manage the raising phases of the game element; and determine, when a condition for changing from a first raising phase to a second raising phase in the raising game is satisfied, one of branched growing states of the game element related to the second raising phase, in accordance with an operation input related to the raising performed prior to satisfaction of the change condition. The operation input related to the raising includes a first operation input not involving selection of a selection item related to the raising.
GAME DEVICE AND PROGRAM
A game is provided that enables a game element to be raised through an intuitive operation input. A game device includes components collectively configured to: execute processing related to the raising game; display the game element; accept an operation input related to raising of the game element; manage the raising phases of the game element; and determine, when a condition for changing from a first raising phase to a second raising phase in the raising game is satisfied, one of branched growing states of the game element related to the second raising phase, in accordance with an operation input related to the raising performed prior to satisfaction of the change condition. The operation input related to the raising includes a first operation input not involving selection of a selection item related to the raising.
Video game controller
A video game controller can automatically operate as a video game controller with audio capability and a video game controller without audio capability based upon a signal received via a switch in communication with an audio jack of the video game controller when a headset is coupled to the audio jack. Connection of the headset to the controller automatically causes video game audio to be communicated from the video game console to the headset via the controller. The video game audio is communicated at a default volume level to the headset upon coupling of the headset to the video game controller. The volume level of the audio communicated to the headset can be adjustable up or down via a directional pad of the video game controller while an audio control button on the video game controller is pressed.
Video game controller
A video game controller can automatically operate as a video game controller with audio capability and a video game controller without audio capability based upon a signal received via a switch in communication with an audio jack of the video game controller when a headset is coupled to the audio jack. Connection of the headset to the controller automatically causes video game audio to be communicated from the video game console to the headset via the controller. The video game audio is communicated at a default volume level to the headset upon coupling of the headset to the video game controller. Operation data is acquired from either a first type of controller having a plurality of operation sections or a second type of controller having fewer operation sections, and a game process is performed. When the first type of controller is used for game operation, a selection item is switched in a forward direction for a plurality of items arranged in a predetermined order, in accordance with an operation on a first operation section, and the selection item is switched in a reverse direction in accordance with an operation on a second operation section. In addition, when the second type of controller is used for game operation, the selection item is switched in the forward direction in accordance with an operation on a third operation section of the second type of controller. Then, a UI image including these items is generated.
