ALTITUDE-BASED DIFFICULTY ADJUSTMENTS FOR MULTI-PLAYER GAMING INTERACTIVITY
A method for dynamic adjustment of interactive game play includes identifying a game session for a game played between first and second players, with the first and second players being connected from geographic locations having first and second elevations, respectively. The method also includes determining an objective in the game that the first and second players are predicted to achieve, and identifying a first path to be traversed by the first player to reach the objective in the game and identifying a second path to be traversed by the second player to reach the objective in the game. Each of the first and second paths includes a respective plurality of game actions to be accomplished by the first and second players. The method further includes adjusting a physical activity rating of select ones of the respective plurality of game actions based on a difference between the first and second elevations.

Respawn systems and methods in video games
In a video game, a player's character can start in a normal state, receive first damage, and change to an incapacitated state. The player's character can be revived from the incapacitated state back to the normal state. The player's character can be changed from the incapacitated state to a preliminarily defeated state, and in response, a player respawn activation item can be generated. The player respawn activation item can be used by the player's teammates to respawn the player's character at one or more respawn locations.
Systems and methods for detecting and displaying a boundary associated with player movement
Systems and methods for indicating that a boundary is crossed during execution of a video game are described. One of the methods includes generating, by a camera, a field-of-view, the field-of-view encompassing a plurality of boundaries that define a volume. The method further includes capturing, by the camera, one or more images of a head-mounted display (HMD) within the field-of-view. The method includes identifying, by a processor, a position of the HMD in a real-world environment from the one or more images. The method includes determining, by the processor, whether the HMD at the position has crossed one of the boundaries. The method includes generating one or more video frames including a guard rail upon determining that the HMD has crossed the one of the boundaries and sending the one or more video frames to the HMD for display.

TOKEN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR USE IN IMMERSIVE INTERACTIVE SPORTS ENVIRONMENTS
A system and method for managing tokens used in an interactive sports management system enabling remote participation in decisions affecting activity in a sporting event. The interactive system includes a server platform in communication with a blockchain processing network in which are recorded player tokens corresponding to the players. The tokens are respectively implemented by player smart contracts instantiated within the blockchain processing network and executed by a blockchain virtual machine. Results information relating to performances of the players is received by the server platform and stored within a database. A value factor corresponding to an achievement occurrence within the results information associated with a first player is provided to a first player smart contract implementing a first player token associated with the first player. The first player smart contract updates a value of the first player token within the blockchain processing network based upon the first value factor.

Systems and methods of automatically performing virtual tasks within a video game
A computer is caused to: manage an item possessed by a player or a player character; and manage a state of a game task an achievement condition of which is that the item is handed over to a non-player character in the game and which is set so as to be associated with each non-player character; and switch a state of the game between a first mode and a second mode, based on a switching input. In the first mode, while the game is played, the computer is caused to achieve a game task, under a condition that the number of the items possessed is changed by a first change amount, based on an operation input by the player. In the second mode, even while the game is not played by the player, the computer is caused to achieve the game task without changing the number of the items possessed.
Passing control of cloud gameplay
A method includes: executing a video game by a cloud gaming machine; streaming, by a video server over a network, video generated from the executing video game to a plurality of client devices; enabling gameplay of the video game that includes control of a virtual object of the video game by one of the client devices, and passing the control of the virtual object to each of the client devices in turn, wherein passing the control is responsive to detecting a predefined condition during the gameplay of the video game.
