SUSPENDING STATE OF CLOUD-BASED LEGACY APPLICATIONS

A snapshot of a game may be generated by a client. At some point, a suspension request is delivered to a computer system. Once the suspension request is received, the computer system will suspend the emulated title. The computer system generates a snapshot of the game by recording the current state of all devices being emulated. The snapshot is then delivered to the client. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATTRIBUTING USER ACTION TO ENGAGEMENT WITH ONLINE CONTENT
20190098100 · 2019-03-28 ·

A computer-implemented method and corresponding system for determining attribution for an action taken by a user exposed to published content on a plurality of online platforms, the method including receiving an engagement call transmitted by the user's mobile communication device for each engagement with the published content by the user; attributing, based on the engagement calls, the user action to a corresponding content publisher on whose online platform the user engaged with the published content; and facilitating an adjustment of future content presentations based on the attribution.

Augmented virtuality

Techniques for providing a user with an augmented virtuality (AV) experience are described herein. An example of a method of providing an AV experience includes determining a location of a mobile device, determining a context based on the location, obtaining AV object information, displaying the AV object information in relation to the context, detecting an interaction with the context, modifying the AV object information based on the interaction, and displaying the modified AV object information. The context may include weighting information. The weighting information may be based on Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) or Round-Trip Time (RTT) data. The weighting information may be associated with a composition of a physical object in the context. A user gesture may be received, and the AV object information may be modified based on the received gesture information.

Game data validation

Methods and systems for verifying and/or modifying game data for a location-based game, such as a parallel reality game, are provided. Game data for the location-based game can be verified and/or modified by establishing one or more mini-games to be played within the location-based game. Players can be encouraged to play the mini-game by providing a reward, such as a virtual reward that can be used in the location-based game or by providing another suitable reward. Mini-game data received from a plurality of players of the mini-game can be aggregated and used to update game data for the location-based game. In this manner, game elements, game objectives, and/or game play for all players in the location-based game (even players that do not play in the mini-game) can be adjusted based on the aggregated responses to the mini-game.

Storage medium, information-processing device, information-processing system, and information-processing method for controlling movement of game characters

Movement amount identifying unit 111 of exemplary game device 1 identifies, for each of characters, a movement amount, based on which a character is moved on a map, the movement amount being randomly determined. Movement processing unit 112 moves, for each of the characters, a character on the map based on a movement amount determined for the character. Mini-game executing unit 113 executes a mini-game on detecting that a first character included in the characters has reached a predetermined first cell on the map. When doing so, mini-game executing unit 113 starts the mini-game, the first character joining the mini-game from the start of the mini-game, and causes a second character included in the characters to join the mini-game subsequent to the first character with a delay, the second character having failed to reach the first cell as of the start of the mini-game.
