Connected food preparation system and method of use

A connected oven, including a set of in-cavity sensors and a processor configured to automatically identify foodstuff within the cooking cavity, based on the sensor measurements; and automatically operate the heating element based on the foodstuff identity.

Cooking appliance

A cooking appliance is provided such that upper and front surfaces of a housing are open and a door can open and close the upper and front surfaces of the housing. The cooking appliance having such a configuration can provide an expanded passage required to enable a user to easily and conveniently insert or withdraw food or a tray into or from a cooking compartment.

Several embodiments include a cooking instrument. The cooking instrument can include a heating system. The heating system can include one or more heating elements capable of emitting wireless energy into the cooking chamber. The cooking instrument can also include a sensor and a control system. The control system can be configured to execute a heating process and determine a stage of the heating process based on sensor data from the sensor.

Dual coil electric heating element

An embodiment of an electric heating element is disclosed, including an electrically resistive inner heating element, an electrically resistive outer heating element, and a thermostat positioned along a cold leg of the inner heating element. The thermostat is configured to selectively allow electrical current to be delivered to the inner heating element while maximum electrical current, for example, continues to be provided to the outer heating element. The thermostat cycles the electrical current on and off when detecting maximum and minimum desired temperatures radiated from the electric heating element. The inner heating element has a pair of cold legs that extend parallel to a pair of cold legs of the outer heating element, some or all of which may be supported by a terminal bracket.

An electric heating device comprises a housing with a partition wall which separates a connection chamber from a heating chamber for dissipating heat and from which at least one PTC heating device protrudes as a heating fin in the direction toward the heating chamber. The PTC heating device comprises at least one PTC element electrically connected to conductor tracks in the connection chamber. A temperature sensor is connected, in terms of data, to a control device and is accommodated in a sealed manner in a temperature sensor receptacle which is formed in a wall delimiting the heating chamber. The temperature sensor is accommodated in a sliding manner in the temperature sensor receptacle. A support prevents the temperature sensor from sliding out of the temperature sensor receptacle and/or directly plugs a temperature sensor contact element of the temperature sensor in the connection chamber into a printed circuit board.
