HOOD SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

A hood system including a main body comprising an exhaust duct, a fan configured to generate airflow in the exhaust duct, an arm including an intake port and configured to allow air to be sucked into the intake port so as to pass through the arm and thereafter in the exhaust duct, a driving unit configured to be driven to move the arm, a sensor module configured to sense an environmental state of the hood system, and at least one processor configured to control driving of the driving unit based on the sensed environmental state to move the arm and thereby position the intake port based on the sensed environmental state.

UP-AND-DOWN HOOD

An extractor hood capable of extracting fumes and/or vapours being generated on a cooking surface, the hood including a first portion (2) integral with a wall (3) of the room where the cooking surface is located, a second portion (4), spaced apart from the first and close to the cooking surface, and a support connection (50) capable of securing the first portion (2) to the second portion (4), the second portion containing a fan (5) capable of extracting fumes and/or vapours from the cooking surface when the hood (1) is in use. The first portion (2) includes an autonomous extraction device capable of extracting fumes and/or vapours exiting the second portion (4) and extracted from the cooking surface by the fan (5) present in the second portion (4), the hood having no connecting tube between the second portion (2) and the first portion (4).

FAN FOR SMOKE AND VAPOUR EXTRACTION SYSTEM, IN PARTICULAR FOR KITCHENS AND EXTRACTION SYSTEM INCORPORATING SUCH A FAN

A fan (1) for a smoke and/or vapour extraction system that includes an impeller (3) located within a diffuser or volute (2), the impeller (3) being driven by an electric motor (24); the impeller (3) having a body (20) having a flat part (21) from which a plurality of radially arranged blades (33) extend; these blades are separated from each other by a variable distance based on a periodic function. In addition to this, the diffuser (2) has an air delivery or discharge conduit (5) having a cross-section increasing from an inlet to its outlet (6).

Cooking appliance with repositionable vent arm

A venting appliance for use with a cooking appliance including a cooktop with at least one cooking element disposed thereon, where the venting appliance may include: a housing configured to be positioned above the cooktop; a repositionable vent arm coupled to and extending below the housing; and a controller coupled to the repositionable vent arm and configured to determine that a first cooking element among at least one cooking elements is active, and in response thereto, automatically reposition the vent arm to be closer to the first cooking element.

VERTICAL EXTRACTOR HOOD FOR A KITCHEN

An extractor hood (1) with a body (2) which is hollow in its interior (at 15), provided with a lateral opening (8) and containing in its cavity (15) a fan (16) which can aspirate from the lateral opening (8) fumes and/or vapors generated by an underlying hob of a kitchen, the body (2) having opposite surfaces (5, 6) with a larger area, connected by walls or surfaces (10, 11, 12, 13) with a smaller area, a first one (5) of the surfaces (5, 6) with the larger area being placed on a vertical wall (2) of said kitchen, the second surface (6) with the larger area containing the aforementioned lateral opening (8), and in front of this opening (8) there being a flat panel (23) placed spaced from this second larger surface. This flat panel (23) is parallel to the second surface (6), including when the hood (1) is in use.

Downdraft that is telescoping

A telescoping downdraft ventilator with a movable fan and efficient way of removing gases and fumes is disclosed. The telescoping downdraft ventilator has the ability to fit behind a cook top unit beneath a countertop when the cook top unit is located against a wall. The telescoping downdraft ventilator has a fan that may be attached in front of the unit or behind the unit. The ventilator collects and draws in exhaust fumes and smoke, filters it, and re-circulates or expels it through a movable exhaust duct.

Provided are a signal processing device, a program, a range hood device, and a selection method for frequency bins in a signal processing device with which it is possible to reduce the load on computation processing for computing filter coefficients and provide an excellent muting effect even when there are a peak band and a notch band in transmission characteristics from a speaker to an error microphone. A parameter setter sets an update parameter μ such that a filter coefficient W is corrected, only for a first frequency bin that corresponds to a frequency band of a first noise and a second frequency bin that corresponds to a frequency band of a second noise.

Control of exhaust systems

Exhaust capture and containment are enhanced by means of automatic or manual side skirts, a sensitive breach detector based on interference effects, a combination of vertical and horizontal edge jets, and/or corner jets that are directed to the center diagonally from corners. Associated control functions are described.

Provided is a cooking appliance that includes an oven cavity and an oven door pivotally mounted to a front surface and configured to selectively provide access to an interior of the oven cavity. A cooktop includes a heating element and an inlet of a downdraft system exposed at a top surface of the cooking appliance. An outlet is provided through which air drawn into the downdraft system through the inlet is exhausted to an ambient environment of a room in which the cooking appliance is located. An air duct system conveys air between the inlet and the outlet, and a blower draws air from the ambient environment of the cooking appliance adjacent to the cooktop into the inlet and through the air duct system to be expelled through the outlet back into the ambient environment.
