A NOVEL METHOD AND AN APPARATUS IN CONVERTING UNSORTED MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE INTO GEO-POLYMER PELLETS/BRIQUETTES AND GEO-POLYMER BRICKS/PAVER BLOCKS
Apparatus and method in converting municipal solid waste into geo-polymer briquettes and geo-polymer bricks comprising bag opener cum crushers, magnetic separators for ferrous and-eddy current separators for non-ferrous things; squeezer for removing liquid content; inter particle collision driers for drying; pulverizer for pulverizing, and devolatizing carbonization reactor for carbonisation of combustible MSW to produce solid char with low water content. Solid char is mixed with geo-polymer binding agent/starch/tar/to form combustible pellet/briquette. These highly combustible briquette/pellets have high calorific value. The pellet/briquette is formed by rotating combustible char at high rpm and compaction. Pellet has a water content of less than 5% by weight and fuel value of 5500 to 6500 KCAL. This process produces non-combustible geo-polymer brick. The non-combustible MSW separated by a trommel is crushed by inter particle collision crusher and pan mixers mixing with geo-polymer binding agent/fly ash/quarry dust/chips or china clay and moulded.
ASPHALT PRODUCTION PLANT WITH PRE-DRYER ASSIST
A combination of components for use in making asphalt concrete from a mixture of virgin aggregate material with recycled asphalt products and/or recycled asphalt shingles encompasses a direct dryer for heating virgin aggregate material; a pre-dryer for heating recycled asphalt product and/or recycled asphalt shingles, said pre-dryer using warm exhaust gas from said direct dryer to heat the recycled asphalt product and/or recycled asphalt shingles; and means for conveying warm exhaust gas from said direct dryer to said pre-dryer.
Permanent magnet induction heating system and magnetic dehydrator
A device and method for dehydrating products, through gasifying the humidity in the air or on any wet element through the application of air, heat and magnetic fields. Such a process would be useful for the drying of clothing, grain, food and other industrial uses. In a separate implementation, measure addition of moisture to the air or gas in the system could be used to generate hydrogen and/or oxygen via a gas separator, such as the membrane units in use today. The magnetic fields used may be built using electromagnetic and/or permanent magnets.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANHYDROUS CALCIUM NITRATE POWDER
The invention relates to a method for producing an anhydrous powder having a calcium nitrate content of between 92 and 99.9 weight %, a water content of between 0.1 and 8 weight %; and a particle size of between 0.05 and 1.5 mm, wherein the method comprises the step of subjecting a calcium nitrate solution having a water content of between 70 and 15 weight % and a calcium nitrate content of between 30 and 85 weight % to a drying step in an industrial turbo-dryer, resulting in the anhydrous calcium nitrate powder. The invention furthermore relates to such an anhydrous calcium nitrate powder and the use of an industrial turbo-dryer to produce such anhydrous calcium nitrate powder.
METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY DRYING BULK GOODS, IN PARTICULAR WOOD FIBERS AND/OR WOOD CHIPS
A method for drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, wherein the bulk goods is continuously dried in a dryer (1), in particular a drum dryer. The vapor-gas mixture flows through the drum dryer (1) in a dryer circuit and is indirectly heated via at least one heat exchanger (4) by a burner waste gas that is heated in at least one burner (5). The drying vapors are supplied to the at least one heat exchanger (4). Upstream, downstream and/or within the at least one heat exchanger (4), at least a partial flow of the drying vapors are branched off to be conducted into the burner (5). The remaining partial flow is conducted to the dryer (1) again. The partial flow of drying vapors to the burner (5) is driven by at least one regulable partial vapor fan (10).
METHOD TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF REMOVAL OF LIQUID WATER FROM SOLID BULK FUEL MATERIALS
The invention provides methods to efficiently reduce the water concentration of raw solid fuels, including low rank coals such as brown coal, lignite, subbituminous coal, and other carbonaceous solids. Efficiently drying these materials at low temperatures significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and allows the production of low-rank coals for gasification and liquifaction.
FREEZE-DRYING DEVICE
A freeze-drying device includes an evaporation chamber that is mounted so as to be rotated on a shaft, a condensation chamber in communication with the evaporation chamber, and a product inlet and a product outlet which are connected to the evaporation chamber by first flexible connectors. The product inlet and the product outlet are fixedly mounted relative to the evaporation chamber, and a motor which drives the shaft back and forth on itself. The condensation chamber is fixedly mounted relative to the evaporation chamber, and the evaporation chamber and the condensation chamber are connected by second flexible connectors.
DRIER
Described is a drier for industrial plants for the production of bituminous macadams comprising a drying drum (2) rotating about its own main axis of extension (R2), a loading head (3) at a first end (2a) of the drying drum for introducing a virgin inert lithic material into the drying drum, an unloading head (4) at a second end (2b) of the drying drum, a burner (8) for generating a flame (9) in a combustion chamber (7) and a first drying flow (F9) in a drying chamber (6), a feed device (11), positioned downstream of the combustion chamber (7) and upstream of the unloading head (4) for introducing a recycled bituminous material into the drying drum (2); the drying drum (2) comprises a drying chamber (12) downstream of the feed device (11) and upstream of the unloading head (4) and a combustion chamber (13) downstream of the drying chamber (12) and upstream of the unloading head (4) and the drier comprises a system for generating a second flow (F15) of drying gas in the second drying chamber (12).
HEAT EXCHANGER WITH INTEGRATED HORIZONTAL FILTRATION
An air drying unit for compressed air systems includes a precooler/reheater, a main cooler, and a moisture separator. Incoming air is cooled to cause moisture within the compressed air to condense, and the condensate separated to dry the compressed air. The air drying unit includes an integrated intake filtration and outtake filtration sections with horizontally oriented filter elements that filter particulates and oil from incoming and outgoing compressed air.
