Micro channel type heat exchanger
A micro channel type heat exchanger in which a first heat exchange module and a second heat exchange module are stacked, the micro channel type heat exchanger including a plurality of flat tubes disposed within the first heat exchange module and the second heat exchange module, and a heat blocking member configured to form a heat blocking space by separating the first heat exchange module and the second heat exchange module, wherein the heat blocking member forms a heat blocking space between the first heat exchange module and the second heat exchange module that minimizes heat conductivity and improves thermal exchange performance of the heat exchanger.
DEVICE, PLANT AND METHOD FOR THE STORAGE AND TRANSFER OF THERMAL ENERGY OF SOLAR ORIGIN
The object of the present invention is to use the high temperature thermal power stored in the fluid bed in conjunction with thermophotovoltaic (TPV) technology. TPV technology requires thermal emitters at high temperature (>600° C.) to produce electricity from thermal radiation. TPV thermal emitters are located immersed in or exposed to a hot particles fluidized bed, protected by suitable layers of high temperature resistant material, like ceramic or refractory walls. Such high temperature fluidized bed, will provide thermal power to the TPV cells, to produce electricity.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND ASSOCIATED HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
Heat exchanger (2, 3) for a refrigerant circulation circuit comprising at least one connection flange (5, 6) fixed to a lateral surface of said heat exchanger (2, 3), characterized in that the connection flange (5, 6) comprises a circulation channel within its structure and a transverse mechanical fixing zone (21, 22) able to cooperate with another transverse mechanical fixing zone (21, 22) of another connection flange (5, 6) of another heat exchanger (2, 3).
The invention also claims a heat exchange system for a vehicle comprising two such heat exchangers (2, 3) and the respective connection flanges (5, 6) of which are able to cooperate with one another.
DETECTING LOSS OF CHARGE IN HVAC SYSTEMS
An HVAC system includes an evaporator, a first sensor coupled to the evaporator at a first position, and a second sensor operably coupled to the evaporator at a second position. The first sensor monitors a first temperature of the refrigerant flowing in the evaporator at the first position, which is adjacent to the evaporator inlet. The second sensor monitors a second temperature of the refrigerant flowing in the evaporator at the second position, which is downstream from the first position. The system includes a controller, which receives a first signal corresponding to the first temperature and a second signal corresponding to the second temperature. The controller determines, based on the received signals, a temperature difference between the second temperature and the first temperature. In response to determining that the temperature difference is greater than a predefined threshold value, the controller determines that a loss of charge has occurred.
Heat exchange device and liquid cooling system having the same
A heat exchange device includes a heat exchanger and two pumps. The heat exchanger defines a heat exchange pathway, an inflow pathway communicated with the heat exchange pathway for guiding a cooling liquid to flow into the heat exchange pathway, and an outflow pathway opposite to the inflow pathway for guiding the cooling liquid to flow out from the heat exchange pathway. Each of the pumps includes a case body defining a flow-guiding chamber communicated with and disposed between the heat exchange pathway and the outflow pathway, a rotor mounted in the flow-guiding chamber, and a stator mounted to the case body for driving rotation of the rotor, facilitating flowing movement of the cooling liquid toward the outflow pathway.
Power Plant Cooling Systems
Power Plant Cooling Systems are designed to replace Once-Through Cooling systems and/or cooling towers currently used to cool power plants that generate electricity. The intake and discharge piping of the cooling water would be connected by piping/tubing that would serve as a geothermal loop that would be underground and/or in a body of water next to the power plant that would serve as a heat exchange medium. An alternative embodiment would use a latticework of piping/tubing over the turbine hall (equipment building) and/or the containment building(s) to serve as a heat exchange medium when the atmospheric conditions are proper.
