Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger includes: a header that extends in a first direction; and a plurality of heat transfer tubes that extend in a second direction crossing the first direction, each of which has one end connected to the header, and that are arranged in the first direction at intervals. The header includes: a header body having a tubular shape, a first member through which the one end of each of the heat transfer tubes extends, and a second member positioned between the header body and the first member in the second direction. The second member includes: a base portion that extends in the first direction, and a plurality of protruding portions that extend from the base portion toward the first member in the second direction.
Protection structure for vapor chamber
A protection element for vapor chamber includes a main body and a protection element. The main body is divided into a working zone and a sealing zone. The sealing zone is located around an outer periphery of the working zone and is provided with a notch area, to which a fluid-adding and air-evacuating pipe is connected. The protection element is correspondingly mounted to the notch area to contact with the sealing zone of the main body. With the arrangement of the protection element, the fluid-adding and air-evacuating pipe is protected against collision and impact and accordingly, the main body of the vapor chamber is protected against vacuum and working fluid leakage.
SNAP-FIT ATTACHMENT REPAIR
A system and method for attaching two automotive cooling modules together is provided. A first cooling module has a tab extending outwardly therefrom, the tab having an aperture extending therethrough. A second cooling module has a backwall and one or more flexible prongs extending in a first direction from the backwall and through the aperture of the tab in a snap-fit attachment. The tab is spaced from the backwall when the one or more prongs are attached to the tab. The second cooling module also has a boss extending in a second direction from the backwall, wherein the boss has a receptacle aligned with the aperture of the tab. In the event of damage to the one or more prongs, the one or more prongs can be removed, and a fastener can be fastened through the aperture of the tab and into the boss.
Heat exchanger tank with reinforcement element
A heat exchanger tank that includes external ribs that provide reinforcement to structure of the heat exchanger tank is disclosed. In addition, at least one reinforcement element may engage with an external tank portion and may be tensioned by press fitting the at least one reinforcement element on the external tank portion such that limbs of the at least one reinforcement element are separated by the external tank portion between the external ribs. The at least one reinforcement element may further be maintained in the tensioned configuration by using at least one retention means.
Open mesh members and related fill packs
An open mesh member for insertion into a cooling tower utilizing polluted or clean water and counterflow or crossflow airflow includes a plurality of corrugations including upper support frames, lower support frames and a wall strand. The upper and lower support frames extend at a corrugation angle relative to a height axis. The corrugations have a plurality of openings through a thickness of the mesh member. A planar edge positioned at a first end of the mesh member. A beveled edge positioned at a second end of the mesh member. The beveled edge includes a first bevel extending distally from one of the upper support frames. The bevel includes first and second legs and a distal end. The first and second legs extend substantially parallel relative to the associated upper support frame.
ICE MACHINE
A method of cleaning an evaporator of an ice maker can include activating a switch of the ice maker in a first manual intervention of an overall cleaning procedure to initiate the overall cleaning procedure; sounding an audible alarm to alert a user that a second manual intervention is required; pouring a cleaning fluid into a tank of the evaporator case in the second manual intervention; automatically initiating and completing one of a cleaning stage and a sanitizing stage upon completion of the second manual intervention, automatically initiating the one of the cleaning stage and the sanitizing stage including operating a cleaning valve of a water circuit of the ice maker by a main controller of the ice maker; and automatically initiating and completing a rinsing stage.
MULTI PORT EXTRUSION (MPE) CONNECTION TO A HEADER
A connection between one end of a Multi Port Extrusion (MPE) tube (1) of aluminium or an aluminium alloy and one header (2), the connection comprises an adapter (3) with a seal ring (4) fixed between the MPE tube and the header. The invention also relates to a method for connecting said parts.
Support assembly for finned tube type heat exchangers
A support assembly for attaching a heat exchanger to a frame of a machine. The support assembly including a clip having one or more attachment features for attaching to the frame and a support member disposed between a first fin portion and a second fin portion of the heat exchanger. The support member disposed between the clip and the tube member to at least partially surrounds a perimeter of the tube member and form a seal therewith.
GASKET FOR A PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER
A gasket for a plate heat exchanger, the gasket comprising a body in the form of a loop for fitting to a plate of the plate heat exchanger, the body including one or more peripheral connection areas spaced along at least one side of the loop, and a plurality of tabs for securing the gasket in position on the plate, each tab being discrete from the body, and each tab including connection means which is receivable by or engageable with one of the connection areas to connect the tabs and body together.
RETAINED STRONG HEADER FOR HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a fluid reservoir having a peripherally extending foot, a header having a mounting tab bent to engage the foot of the fluid reservoir to couple the header to the fluid reservoir, and a retaining feature configured to prevent disengagement of the mounting tab of the header from the foot of the fluid reservoir. The retaining feature overlays at least a portion of an outer surface of the mounting tab while otherwise restrained by a portion of the fluid reservoir in order to prevent the disengagement of the mounting tab from the foot.
