OIL SEPARATOR UNIT
An oil separator unit including an upstream member having an opening through which the blowby gas passes, a downstream member having a hit portion hit by the blowby gas, and a porous member trapping the oil mist contained in the blowby gas that has passed through the through hole. The upstream member includes an upstream surface facing a first surface of the porous member and a pair of recesses formed in substantially U-shapes along circumference portions in both end sides on an upstream surface of the upstream member, and the downstream member includes a pair of flange parts formed in substantially U-shapes so as to fit in the pair of recesses.
Oil circulation system of internal combustion engine
The oil circulation system of an internal combustion engine comprises: a high temperature side oil circulation path provided with a high temperature side oil pan, a high temperature side part supplied with oil, and a heating part, and circulating oil among these; a low temperature side oil circulation path provided with a low temperature side oil pan and a low temperature side part supplied with oil, and circulating oil between the low temperature side oil pan and the low temperature side part supplied with oil; an oil transport mechanism transporting oil between the low temperature side oil circulation path and the high temperature side oil circulation path; and a control device configured to control transport of oil by the oil transport mechanism while the internal combustion engine is operating.
Assembling apparatus for oil pump
An assembling apparatus may include an oil pump provided in an oil pan, a partition wall, and a shock absorbing member. The partition wall divides an internal space of the oil pan and is formed to partially surround an external surface of the oil pump, so as to support the oil pump. The shock absorbing member is disposed between an external surface of the oil pump and the partition wall to be in contact therewith. In this structure, the assembling apparatus may mitigate noise and vibration of the oil pump that is built in the oil pan.
Transmission Assembly
During assembly of a transmission, an adapter is installed on a transmission suction filter. The adapter includes a deformable bellows. A top lip of the bellows is attached to the filter inlet while a bottom lip of the bellows includes at least one fin. The fin has a chamfered edge. As two case halves are brought together, the chamfer rubs against a rear case half compressing the bellows. After assembly, the fins control a distance between a sump bottom and the bottom lip of the bellow. As a result, the fluid level can be lower without risking air ingestion.
RESIDUAL OIL DRAINAGE SYSTEM AND RELATED METHOD FOR REPLACING AN OIL FILTER OF AN ENGINE
A residual oil drainage system for use in replacement of the oil filter of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The drainage system may include first and second drainage conduits disposed in the oil pan of the engine. The drainage conduits may be fluidly interconnected and coupled to portions of the oil inlet and outlet flow conduits which normally convey oil to and from the oil filter. A flow control device is movable to either open or close the drainage flowpath in the system. In use with an open flowpath and engine off, residual oil captured by the first and second drainage conduits flows through the drainage system and is returned to the oil reservoir in the oil pan via gravity. In one configuration, the drainage conduits are formed internally and directly within the body of the structure of the oil pan.
Rebuildable Engine Casing and Oil Squirter Assembly for Air Cooled Internal Combustion Engines
The present invention is directed to a rebuildable engine casing for an internal combustion engine supporting a plurality of pistons. The engine casing forms and provides a novel oil squirter that can readily be serviced or rebuilt. The engine casing also includes a novel mechanism for separating the case members and a removable service plug for accessing the oil galleries. The present invention also provides for a rebuildable oil squirter.
A FILTER AND A METHOD FOR CHECKING THE SUITABILITY OF A FILTER ELEMENT
A filter element is provided and includes a filter medium having an axial channel, end plates each sealingly covering one axial end of the filter medium, one end plate having an opening in fluid communication with the channel, a hole arranged on the liquid path, not on the filter medium, and a closing member which is arranged in the hole and which is configured: to prevent liquid from flowing through the hole when the liquid pressure upstream the closing member is below a predetermined threshold to open at the threshold, to allow liquid to flow through the hole, and, after it has been opened, to remain open. A method is provided for checking the suitability of a filter element, at first use after a filter element change. The method includes monitoring the liquid pressure at a point of the liquid circuit located outside of and near a port of a filter housing receiving the filter element, when an electrical pump of the liquid circuit is restarted for the first time, comparing the evolution of the monitored liquid pressure over time with a predetermined evolution over time of the liquid pressure at the point for a new reference filter element.
Apparatus and Method
In one embodiment, there is provided a device for a vehicle, having: a first interface configured to couple to at least one replaceable fluid container for a vehicle comprising a battery, the first interface comprising at least one fluid port configured to couple to at least one fluid port of the replaceable fluid container; a second interface configured to couple to an engine of the vehicle, the second interface comprising at least one fluid port configured to couple to at least one fluid port of a fluid circulation system of the vehicle; a fluid path coupled to at least one fluid port of the first interface and at least one fluid port of the second interface; and at least one electrical pump configured to be powered and/or driven by the battery of the vehicle and to cause fluid flow.
Oil pump plate for in-line filter system
An oil pump plate for operatively coupling an oil pump within a gearbox casing is provided, which allows installing and/or uninstalling an in-line filter for the oil pump without having to modify the gearbox casing.
Engine Oil Pumping Systems And Methods
An engine oil pumping system is provided that employs an oil line that is attached to the drain of the oil tank of a vehicle with the opposing end of the oil line attached to a reservoir tank located in the trunk of the vehicle with a quick disconnect attachment. The system also includes an oil pump, a one way check valve and a powered check valve, which are both upstream of the oil pump. The engine oil pumping system can also include an engine oil changing kit that includes an engine oil filter relocation kit that facilitates the changing of the engine oil and filter.
