INLET FILTER HOUSING HAVING COMPONENTS INCLUDING PORTIONS OF FILTER SYSTEM THAT COLLECTIVELY FORM HOUSING
An inlet filter housing includes a plurality of components that collectively form a complete filtering and conditioning system for filtering and conditioning a fluid along a housing flow path. Each component is fitted within an external structure of an International Organization of Standards (ISO) shipping container, which provides a rectangular cuboid enclosure. Each component includes operative structure of at least one of: a) only a portion of an axial extent of the filtering and conditioning system, and b) only a portion of a lateral cross-sectional area of the housing flow path.
FILTRATION DEVICE HAVING A LATCH MECHANISM
A filtration device may include a filter element and a housing that is configured to receive the filter element. The filter element may include a casing having a first outer surface and a flange connected to the first outer surface. The flange may include a plurality of snap members. A snap member, of the plurality of snap members, may include a fulcrum projecting from the flange and a lever mounted on the fulcrum. The housing may include a shell having a second outer surface and a plurality of ramp members. The plurality of ramp members may be fixedly connected to the second outer surface and may be configured to engage the plurality of snap members of the filter element. A ramp member, of the plurality of ramp members, may include an angled surface that extends from the second outer surface at an acute angle relative to the second outer surface.
Air cleaner assemblies
An air cleaner assembly including a housing, a filter cartridge removably positioned within the inner opening of the housing, wherein the filter cartridge includes a media pack and a sealing member that includes a pinch seal portion spaced from an outer surface of the media pack and positionable within a housing channel of the housing when the filter cartridge is positioned within the inner opening of the housing, and a precleaner assembly positionable between the filter cartridge and the inlet end of the housing, wherein the precleaner includes a base member having a lower edge, and an access cover removably attachable to an inlet end of the housing, wherein the precleaner assembly is sealable within the air cleaner assembly by pressing the lower edge of the base member against a top surface of the sealing member.
ARCHED AIR FILTER
A filtration system includes an air cleaner housing and a filter element. The air cleaner housing includes a base and a removable cover. At least one of the base or the cover defines a cavity and a protrusion extending into the cavity. The filter element is disposed within the cavity. The filter element includes a plurality of media blocks each including a pleated filter media. The plurality of media blocks are arranged in arch shapes of approximately equal inner radii. The plurality of media blocks are coupled to each other along opposing edges that extend along a pleat direction of the pleated filter media. The media blocks together define at least one void that extends along the protrusion. The protrusion occupies a portion of the void.
Sealed intake air system
A sealed intake air system incorporates a positive connection seal interface between the air filter and the airbox with captive fasteners to provide a positive connection between the air filter and the one-piece airbox.
Air cleaner assembly
An air cleaner assembly including a tray including two cleat receptacles spaced apart from one another at a back side of the assembly and a cover including two cleats at the back side, each of the two cleats adapted to seat within one of the two cleat receptacles. The assembly further includes a mounting bracket coupled to the tray, between the two cleat receptacles. The mounting bracket includes a guide rib extending outward from the mounting bracket, toward the cover.
Filter element for an engine air filter assembly having a nonwoven pre-filter and related method
A filter element for an air filter assembly of an engine includes a primary filter media and a secondary filter media. The primary filter media has a plurality of pleats having first fold edges on an inlet face of the primary filter media and second fold edges on an outlet face of the primary filter media. The first and second fold edges extend from a first lateral side to a second lateral side of the primary filter media. The secondary filter media is constructed of a non-woven material and includes a first portion arranged on the inlet face of the primary filter media, a second portion secured to the first lateral side of the primary filter media, and a third portion secured to the second lateral side of the primary filter media.
Filter with interlocking housing interface
A filter element includes first filter media, second filter media, a frame, and a seal member. The frame is coupled to the first filter media and the second filter media, the frame securing the first filter media and the second filter media into a V-shape. The seal member is attached to and extends from the frame. The seal member includes a U-shaped channel structured to receive a ridge of a housing when the filter element is installed in the housing. The seal member is structured to form a seal between the filter element and the housing when the filter element is installed in the housing.
Method and system for predicting replacement time of cartridge of air processing unit
A method and system of predicting a replacement time of a cartridge for an air processing unit (APU) of a vehicle, include: checking an internal pressure of an air tank by a controller when an engine of the vehicle is started; calculating and accumulating a passing flow amount through the cartridge of the APU using a pressure change due to filling the air tank with air; and determining that the replacement time of the cartridge has been reached when an accumulated total passing flow amount exceeds a predetermined value. Therefore, it is possible to predict the replacement time of the cartridge by calculating an air flow amount based on the pressure change of the air tank.
Multi-modal multi-media air filtration system
The present invention relates to a multi-modal multi-media air filtration system which can include: a base having one or more connection features and a filter media assembly, the filter media assembly being configured to attach to the base at a first end and the cap at a second end. The filter media assembly also including a first filter media extending across a primary air flow path and a second filter media extending across a secondary air flow path. The air filtration assembly then includes a blocking mechanism and an actuation assembly being configured to work together so as to selectively open or close the secondary air flow path so as to alternate the degree of filtration passing through the filter media based on the degree of desired filtration.
