An airfoil journal bearing including a bearing housing having an inner surface forming a hollow so that a rotation shaft is insertable in the hollow; an airfoil in the hollow so that, when the rotation shaft is inserted in the hollow, the airfoil encloses at least 180 to 360 degrees of a circumference of the rotation shaft; and a ring member enclosing an outer surface of the bearing housing. The bearing housing includes an insert slit formed through the bearing housing from the inner surface of the bearing housing to the outer surface of the bearing housing. The airfoil includes an insert part bent from a circumferential direction of the airfoil to a radial direction of the bearing housing and extending, through the insert slit, to the outer surface of the bearing housing. The airfoil is engaged with an outer surface of the ring member through the insert part.

Part of the output shaft is inserted into an insertion hole provided at a center of the base. A plain bearing is interposed between an inner peripheral surface of the insertion hole and an outer peripheral surface of the output shaft.

A high speed electric blower is provided. A rotor assembly of the blower has a bearing, a moving impeller and a magnetic ring. A housing of the blower has a bearing chamber. The diameter of the magnetic ring is smaller than the diameter of the bearing chamber. The magnetic ring can pass through the bearing chamber. The moving impeller and the magnetic ring are respectively located at either end of the bearing chamber. The single bearing is located between the moving impeller and the magnetic ring of the rotating shaft.

Motor assembly and method for manufacturing the same

A motor assembly includes a rolling bearing installed on a rotation shaft between an impeller and a rotor to support a first support of the rotation shaft, and a motor housing having a stator. The motor housing has a gas bearing bracket for accommodating a second support of the rotation shaft disposed at a side opposite to the first support with respect to the rotor. The motor assembly includes a gas bearing assembly in the gas bearing bracket to support rotation of the second support of the rotation shaft. The gas bearing assembly includes a gas bearing for surrounding the second support. The gas bearing is spaced apart from the second support of the rotation shaft to define a gap therebetween when the rotation shaft rotates. The gas bearing assembly includes an elastic member interposed between the gas bearing bracket and the gas bearing to elastically support the gas bearing.

A blower includes a first extension having a first discharge port formed in a first wall, a second extension having a second discharge port formed in a second wall facing and spaced apart from the first wall, a fan provided below the first and second extensions to guide air toward each of the first tower and the second tower, a first gate provided inside the first tower or protruding from the first wall, a second gate provided inside the second tower or protruding from the second wall, a first guide motor to change a position of the first gate, and a second guide motor to change a position of the second gate.

Moisture removal system for electric compressor device

A compressor device includes a housing and a rotating group with a shaft and a compressor wheel supported on the shaft. The compressor wheel includes a back face. The compressor device further includes a bearing that supports the rotating group within the housing for rotation about an axis. Also, the compressor device includes a spacer that is disposed longitudinally along the axis between the back face of the compressor wheel and the bearing. The spacer is received within a wall of the housing. Moreover, the compressor device includes a moisture removal system configured to receive and remove moisture included within a fluid flow from the back face of the compressor wheel to an area between the spacer and the wall of the housing. The moisture removal system includes a channel cooperatively defined by the spacer and the wall of the housing. The channel extends about the axis.

TURBO FLUID MACHINE

A turbo fluid machine includes a rotary shaft configured to rotate in one rotational direction, and a thrust foil bearing that includes: a plurality of bump foils each having a corrugated shape and a plurality of top foils each having a bearing surface that faces a thrust collar. Each bump foil is divided into an outer peripheral foil and an inner peripheral foil in a radial direction of the rotary shaft. Ridges on the outer peripheral foil are inclined in the other rotational direction of the rotary shaft while extending from an edge of the outer peripheral foil adjacent to an inner peripheral side toward an outer peripheral side, and the ridges on the inner peripheral foil are inclined in the other rotational direction while extending from an edge of the inner peripheral foil adjacent to the outer peripheral side toward the inner peripheral side.

An illustrative example embodiment of a multistage compressor includes a first compressor stage, a second compressor stage downstream of the first compressor stage, and a motor section between the first compressor stage and the second compressor stage. The motor section includes a housing and a motor within the housing. A space between the motor and the housing establishes a flow path for fluid to flow from the first compressor stage to the second compressor stage. A plurality of ribs within the space have a curvature along at least a portion of a length of the ribs that changes a direction of fluid flow within the space such that the fluid flows downstream of the curvature in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the housing.
