Device and method for upending a tubular element with a longitudinal direction from a support surface at an outer end
Described herein is a device for upending a tubular element with a longitudinal direction from a support surface at an outer end. The device has a support beam which runs substantially parallel to the support surface and is connected to the support surface at a support point. The support beam guides a coupling tool to which a wall part of an outer end of the tubular element can be coupled. The coupling tool is displaceable relative to the support surface with the support beam, from a clear position to a coupled position in which the tubular element outer end is engaged by the coupling tool. Also described herein, in addition to the device, is a method which makes use of the device.
HOISTING CRANE FOR USE ON AN OFFSHORE VESSEL AND METHOD OF OPERATION
A hoisting crane or multi configurations crane system for use on an offshore vessel, such a vessel and methods for operating are disclosed. The hoisting crane comprises a boom having a proximal portion, an intermediate portion and a distal portion. An extension mechanism is provided that is configured to allow the distal portion to he slid relative to the intermediate portion from a retracted configuration to an extended configuration. In the retracted configuration, the intermediate portion is arranged substantially within the distal portion.
OFF-SHORE WIND TURBINE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
An off-shore wind turbine system is assembled using a platform or jack-up vessel, and a first base anchored to the seafloor at a bade assembly off-shore location. A buoyant tower is attached to the first base. A crane provided on the platform or jack-up vessel is used to lift blades and blades, which are then coupled to a turbine held in a nacelle provided at the top of the buoyant tower. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are detached from the first base. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are towed to a wind farm and connected to a second base provided in the wind farm. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are further stabilized using mooring lines spanning between the buoyant towers and other bases provided in the wind farm. The first base and/or the second base include anti-rotation features.
Device and Method for Erecting a Wind Turbine with a Tower and Two Booms Extending from the Tower
Device for erecting a wind turbine with a floating foundation, a tower arranged on the floating foundation and two booms extending from the tower, with an energy conversion unit that is arranged in each case at a free end of a boom and has a rotor, characterized by an auxiliary tower with a rope system, connected to a winch, for lifting the energy conversion units that are connected by the booms to the tower of the wind turbine.
WIND TURBINE BLADE HANDLING ABOARD A VESSEL
A method is provided for handling wind turbine blades aboard a vessel, the method including providing on the vessel a blade rack assembly configured to accommodate more than one blade, the rack assembly having at least a root rack and a tip rack, and the root rack and tip rack defining between them a blade support plane. The method also includes providing a jack acting between the vessel and one of the root or tip rack; and raising or lowering one of the root or tip rack aboard the vessel by the jack to thereby move the blade support plane through an elevation angle θ. A jack assembly on a wind turbine installation vessel and an offshore wind turbine installation vessel are also provided, each capable of raising or lowering a rack of wind turbine blade root or tip support frame elements.
Method, system and device for contributing to the assembly of a wind turbine
A contribution is made to the assembly of a wind turbine intended to comprise, in a final assembly condition, a tower (2) surmounted by a nacelle (4) cooperating with a rotor (5) receiving a plurality of blades (3a-3c). To this end, a temporary association is made between at least some blades from said plurality of blades and the tower, so that said blades extend substantially in the longitudinal direction of the tower.
Floating-body type wind turbine power generating apparatus and method of transporting components of the same
A floating-body type wind turbine power generating apparatus includes a floating body floating on a water surface; and a wind turbine disposed on the floating body and configured so that at least a part of the wind turbine is submersible. The wind turbine includes: at least one blade; a hub to which the blade is mounted; a tower erected on the floating body; a nacelle disposed on the tower; a first electrical device disposed inside the hub or the nacelle; and a second electrical device connected to the first electrical device via a cable and configured to be movable relative to the tower in a vertical direction so as not be submerged upon submergence of the wind turbine.
SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORTING AND INSTALLING WIND TURBINES ON THE SEAFLOOR
System for transporting and installing wind turbines on the seafloor, made up of a structure that has adjustable flotation capacity and is made up of two floating hulls and a series of columns onto which they are mounted with the capacity to move over the same, an upper peripheral frame and a lower peripheral frame, on which means are mounted for fastening and manipulating the wind turbines and piles and ferrules for anchoring said wind turbines to the seafloor.
METHOD FOR INSTALLING OFFSHORE FLOATING BODY FOR WIND POWER GENERATION
A method for installing an offshore wind power generation floating body may include manufacturing a lower structure including a damping plate, a guide beam including protruding portions, and a slot, coupling a temporary buoyancy tank to each protruding portion, installing a concrete block mounting structure in the slot, transporting the lower structure on the sea until a destination by a towing vessel, fixing the lower structure between a first work barge and a second work barge by a link bridge connected to each of the first work barge and the second work barge, and seating a concrete block connected to a second wire of a second crane seated on the second work barge on the concrete block mounting structure in a state in which first wires of a first crane are connected to the lower structure to maintain a tension equal to or greater than a set magnitude.
Transitioning Wind Turbine
An anchoring and lifting system for a wind turbine tower having a tower base; a plurality of base anchors attached to the tower base; an anchor outrigger attached to and extending laterally outward from the tower base; at least one secondary anchor attached to the anchor outrigger; a lifting outrigger attached to a hinge wherein the hinge connects the tower base and a tower for moving the tower between a raised position and a lowered position; a static cable connected between a distal end of the lifting outrigger and a hub attached to the tower; and, a lifting cable attached between the distal end of the lifting outrigger and a winch, wherein the winch is carried by the tower base.
