SYSTEM FOR A TOWER SEGMENT OF A TOWER, A RESPECTIVE TOWER SEGMENT, AND A WIND TURBINE HAVING A TOWER SEGMENT
A system for a tower segment of a tower is presented, wherein the tower segment is configured for forming at least partially a part of a tower for carrying a structure, in particular for supporting a nacelle of a horizontal-axis wind turbine or a machine house of a vertical-axis wind turbine. The system is configured to be attached, arranged, and/or mounted to the tower segment and comprises at least an airflow manipulation arrangement and a support arrangement. The airflow manipulation arrangement includes an airflow manipulator which is configured for affecting an airflow around the tower segment. The support arrangement is configured for supporting the airflow manipulation arrangement and for mounting the airflow manipulation arrangement to the tower segment. The airflow manipulation arrangement and the support arrangement are configured such, when mounted to the tower segment, that the airflow manipulator projects a tower diameter in radial direction by at least 5%, in particular at least 10%, preferred at least 15%, in particular not more than 30%, further in particular not more than 20%, of the tower diameter, or that the airflow manipulator is essentially parallel to the tower segment. By this, an effective measure against vortex shedding effects is put in place.
Wind turbine
A wind turbine is provided, including a container, a fluid which is arranged inside the container, and a damping body which is arranged inside the container, which is immersed in the fluid, and which is configured to move inside the container, wherein the fluid and the damping body are configured to damp oscillations of the wind turbine. A damper system is provided that on the one hand the fluid damps, e.g. by sloshing, and on the other hand the damping body damps by moving at least partially through the fluid.
Method of erecting a wind turbine
The present invention provides a method of erecting a wind turbine on a wind turbine site. The wind turbine comprises a turbine tower and a nacelle. The method comprises the following steps: providing a plurality of tower sections being arrangeable upon each other in a vertical orientation in a tower structure to form the turbine tower, providing at least two damper units configured to dampen oscillations of the turbine tower, attaching one of the at least two damper units to one of the plurality of the tower sections on an outside thereof, and subsequently arranging said tower section in the tower structure, attaching a subsequent one of the at least two damper units to another one of the plurality of the tower sections on an outside thereof, and subsequently arranging said tower section in the tower structure, while the previous one of the at least two damper units is still attached to the previous one of the plurality of tower sections.
ELECTROMAGNETIC MEASUREMENTS FOR A WIND TURBINE
Provided is a wind turbine including a tower a nacelle, at least one rotatable blade and a measuring apparatus for measuring electromagnetic waves including at least one electromagnetic waves, wherein the electromagnetic waves sensor includes at least one leaky feeder.
TOWER TUBE SECTION, TOWER FRAME AND WIND POWER GENERATOR SET
The present application relates to a tower tube section, a tower frame and a wind power generator set. The tower tube section includes a tower tube section body; a reinforcing assembly including a supporting member connected to the tower tube section body and a plurality of reinforcing cables connected to the supporting member. The plurality of reinforcing cables are arranged at intervals along a circumferential direction of the tower tube section body, and each of the plurality of reinforcing cables extends along an axial direction of the tower tube section body and is apart from a periphery surface of the tower tube section body by a predetermined distance in a radial direction of the tower tube section body. The tower tube section has a strong bearing capacity and low cost, which can meet the power generation benefits of the wind power generator set.
FOUNDATION FOR A TOWER STRUCTURE, TOWER FOR A WIND POWER INSTALLATION, AND WIND POWER INSTALLATION, AND ALSO METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING A FOUNDATION FOR A TOWER STRUCTURE
A foundation for a tower structure, in particular for a tower of a wind power installation, comprising a soil improvement unit with piles and with a slab which is arranged on the piles and which has a foundation side, wherein the foundation side forms a foundation plane, and a shallow foundation which has an areal standing side for mounting onto the foundation plane, wherein the shallow foundation is arranged on the slab.
Off-shore wind turbine system and method of installation
An off-shore wind turbine system is assembled using a platform or jack-up vessel, and a first base anchored to the seafloor at a bade assembly off-shore location. A buoyant tower is attached to the first base. A crane provided on the platform or jack-up vessel is used to lift blades and blades, which are then coupled to a turbine held in a nacelle provided at the top of the buoyant tower. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are detached from the first base. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are towed to a wind farm and connected to a second base provided in the wind farm. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are further stabilized using mooring lines spanning between the buoyant towers and other bases provided in the wind farm. The first base and/or the second base include anti-rotation features.
PRE-FABRICATED COMPONENT FOR AN ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED WIND TURBINE TOWER STRUCTURE
A method of manufacturing a tower structure includes providing an additive printing device having at least one printer head atop a support surface. The method also includes positioning a pre-fabricated component adjacent to the support surface. The pre-fabricated component is constructed of a composite material reinforced with a plurality of reinforcement members. Further, portions of the plurality of reinforcement members protrude from the composite material. Moreover, the method includes printing and depositing, via the at least one printer head, a cementitious material onto the support surface to build up the tower structure layer by layer around the pre-fabricated component. Thus, the portions of the plurality of reinforcement members that protrude from the composite material reinforce the cementitious material around the pre-fabricated component.
NOVEL WIND TURBINE AND ANCHORING SYSTEM THEREOF
A novel wind turbine, the tower of which ending with three legs and which is also anchored to the ground by means of a characteristic anchoring system depending on the type of existing soil. It is anchored on conventional rock soil with a pile foundation, it is anchored in a hard-rock soil with an anchor-rock foundation, it is anchored in a non-rocky soil with a gravitational foundation and it is anchored on clayey or swampy soil with a gravitational foundation reinforced with piles.
Spiral forming
Spiral forming methods can be used to join edges of a rolled material along a spiral joint to form conical and/or cylindrical structures. Alignment of the edges of the rolled material can be controlled in a wrapping direction as the material is being joined along the spiral joint to form the structure. By controlling alignment of the edges of the material as the edges of the material are being joined, small corrections can be made over the course of forming the structure facilitating control over geometric tolerances of the resulting spiral formed structure.
