RETENTION OF A ROTOR OF AN ELECTRONICALLY-CONTROLLED TURBOMACHINE
An electronically-controlled turbocharger (ECT) includes a shaft having a turbine wheel affixed thereto at or adjacent to one end thereof, a retaining feature in the form of a shoulder or a plurality of splines defined radially about the shaft between the turbine wheel and an end of the shaft opposite the one end thereof, a rotor of an electric motor received on the shaft with one end of the rotor facing the turbine wheel configured complementary to and engaging with the retaining feature, and a retaining element affixed to the shaft and abutting the rotor on an end of the rotor opposite the one end thereof.
Method for repairing a generator rotor blade connection
A method for repairing a blade connection of a generator rotor is disclosed. The generator rotor includes an internally threaded hole formed in the generator rotor and an externally threaded blade root. The method includes the steps of removing the blade from the generator rotor, removing material of a first section of the root extending from an end of the root closest to the airfoil, and screwing the blade back into the threaded hole. Additionally, a reworked blade and a reworked blade generator rotor connection is disclosed.

SEGREGATED IMPELLER SHROUD FOR CLEARANCE CONTROL IN A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
A system for controlling the clearance distance between an impeller blade tip of a centrifugal compressor and a radially inner surface of a segregated impeller shroud in a turbine engine. The system comprises a driving mechanism coupled to a portion of a segregated impeller shroud. The driving mechanism comprises a driving arm and threaded axial member configured to translate motion of an actuator ring into axially forward and aft motion of the portion of the segregated impeller shroud.
Threaded connection for tandem motors of electrical submersible pump
An electrical submersible pump assembly has modules including a pump, at least one motor, and a pressure equalizer coupled to the motor. First and second ones of the modules have a threaded connection including a first adapter having threads. A second adapter mounted to the second module has a tubular body, a neck of smaller diameter than the body, an external shoulder at a base of the neck, a rim on the neck, and an external groove between the external shoulder and the rim. A collar is rotatably carried and axially movable on the neck, the collar being in threaded engagement with the threads of the first adapter, the collar having an internal groove. A split shoulder ring carried partly in the external groove and partly in the internal groove retains the collar on the neck and is biased into one of the grooves.
Injector fittings
An injector includes a feed arm extending from an inlet fitting to a nozzle body opposite the inlet fitting. The nozzle body includes a spray outlet in fluid communication with the inlet fitting for issuing a spray of fluid supplied at the inlet fitting. The inlet fitting of the feed arm includes a receptacle therein for receiving a fluid supply manifold inside the inlet fitting of the feed arm.
Segregated impeller shroud for clearance control in a centrifugal compressor

Moment accommodating fastener assembly
An assembly is provided for a turbine engine. This turbine engine assembly includes a tie-rod and a threaded retainer. The tie-rod includes a tie-rod threaded portion and a tie-rod unthreaded portion. The threaded retainer includes a retainer threaded portion and a retainer unthreaded portion. The retainer threaded portion is mated with the tie-rod threaded portion. The retainer unthreaded portion is radially engaged with the tie-rod unthreaded portion.
Turbocharger shaft seal
A seal (42, 82) for a shaft (22) of a turbocharger (10) to prevent liquid from leaking out of a bearing housing (16). The seal (42, 82) includes a cylindrical body extending between opposite end faces (116, 118) and has a cylindrical bore extending between the opposite end faces (116, 118) for receiving the shaft (22) therethrough. The cylindrical bore defines an inner surface (106) having at least one striation (112) extending in a helical direction about the shaft (22). Rotation of the shaft (22) relative to the seal (42, 82) causes a pumping effect on liquid present between the shaft (22) and the inner surface (106) of the seal (42, 82), thereby causing the liquid to flow back towards the bearing housing (16).
HIGH EFFICIENCY CENTRIFUGAL IMPELLER
A balancing weight mountable within a balance hole of a rotary component includes a cylindrical body having a desired weight. An opening is formed in a portion of the body to define a hollow passageway and a mechanism couples the cylindrical body within an interior of the balance hole.
