An object of the invention of the present application is to provide a hydraulic system that is capable of causing a control pressure outputted from a solenoid valve to follow a control request value quickly at the time the solenoid valve starts to be driven. To achieve the object, in the hydraulic system including a solenoid valve that generates a control pressure for operating a control valve, an operation device that is operated to input a control request value as a request value for the control pressure, and a controller configured to set a control target value as a target value for the control pressure depending on the control request value and drive the solenoid valve with the control target value, the controller sets the control target value such that the control target value becomes a maximum output pressure in a usage range of the solenoid valve at the time of starting to drive the solenoid valve and becomes gradually closer to the control request value as time elapses after having reached the maximum output pressure.

A hydraulic circuit includes a pump connected to a tank for supplying hydraulic liquid under pressure to a component via a directional control slide valve provided with a feed port connected to an inlet of the component and with a return port connected to an outlet of the component. The disclosed system may be implemented to control a mining boom (3) of a mining machine (1).

When the floating function activation command has been inputted by the operator, acquiring, a signal or data indicative of the current position of the boom along a travel path of the boom over time, the travel path including a first section between a boom full extension position and a deceleration position, a second section between the deceleration position and a grounding position, and a third section between the grounding position and a full retract position, and moving the boom from the current position, determined based on the signal or data indicative of the position of the boom, to the full retract position.

A method of controlling a hydraulic actuator, wherein the hydraulic actuator includes a linear double-acting output member, and at least three working chambers in fluid connection with the output member, the working chambers having respective effective areas with a non-binary relationship; wherein the method includes selectively fluidly connecting each working chamber to either a high-pressure side or a low-pressure side to provide a plurality of discrete pressurization states of the hydraulic actuator; determining at least one of the pressurization states as a prevented pressurization state; and transitioning between a plurality of allowed pressurization states among the pressurization states while preventing transition to the at least one prevented pressurization state. A hydraulic actuator and a hydraulic system are also provided.
