20240245033 · 2024-07-25 · ·

An animal puzzle bowl is disclosed having a plurality of sockets and a lid with a coupling joint configured to couple with those sockets in a plurality of orientations. The lid may include elements such as a lip or grip for an animal to interact with to allow for opening of the lid so the animal may reach the contents of the bowl. The lids may also include holes so the animal may be encouraged to interact with the bowl by the sight or smell of food or other items of interest. The bowl base can include more than one bowl to allow for a combination of lids to be used. By varying the combination and orientation of the lids an animal must problem solve to reach a desired item in the bowl each time, thus mentally stimulating the animal.

A feeder for a domestic pet has a container for holding pet food, a housing, and a cover having a closed position to prevent access to pet food in the container and an open position. The housing has an open front, a base, respective left and right sidewalls and a rear wall coupled to the base and to the sidewalls. The container is located in the base. The rear wall extends upwardly from the base and forwardly to provide a roof for the housing and terminates in a forward edge at the open front. The open front is bounded by the forward edge of the roof, forward edges of the sidewalls, and a line joining bottoms of the forward edges of the sidewalls. This line is parallel to the forward edge of the roof but forwardly thereof. The sidewalls have intermediate portions thereof located at positions between the forward edge of the roof and the said line. These intermediate portions extend more forwardly than a plane containing the forward edge of the roof and the said line. An RFID aerial is provided to detect the presence of an authorised RFID chip in a pet approaching the open front. The RFID aerial extends across the side walls and the roof at positions adjacent the forward edges of the side walls and of the roof. The cover is coupled to an electric motor operable when the RFID aerial detects the presence of an authorised RFID chip for movement of the cover from its closed to its open position.

Pet Detection System

In one arrangement, a pet detection system for domestic pets comprises a passive infrared detector. The passive infrared detector as two passive infrared sensors, one of which is covered, so that the covered sensor always detects ambient temperature. A difference between the sensors is indicative of a live object being detected. Also described is equipment for a domestic pet, such as a cat flap or a pet feeder, in which access is controlled by a pet detection system as aforesaid or by a pet detection system comprising a capacitive proximity detector. The respective pet detection system detects whether a live object is present, while a pet authorisation system determines whether the live object so detected is an authorised pet.

A top surface of an elevating stand of a pet feeding system defines bowl receptacles into which respective food and water bowls may be removably installed. A first zone of the top surface of the stand includes an upwardly convex ring that laterally surrounds a respective bowl receptacle. A second zone of the top surface of the stand laterally surrounds the first zone, except as interrupted by a finger notch. Each bowl has a peripheral lip with a lower surface formed as a downwardly concave ring that fits over the upwardly convex ring of the stand. An edge of the bowl rests on the second zone at a location below the upper limit of the convex ring. A base of the stand cooperates with upstanding ribs in an elastomeric mat to prevent lateral movement of the stand and to prevent rotation of the stand around the stand center.

The present invention is a pet feeding apparatus with an elongated polyhedron shape with directly opposed feeding and drinking portions with a feeding bin disposed therebetween. The feeding apparatus is bounded by a bottom wall attached to the lower edges of opposing side walls and a top wall attached to the top edges of the opposing side walls. The top wall overhangs the feeding troff and the drinking compartments. The bottom wall is supported by legs that terminate in a reservoir that contains an insect repellant liquid. The apparatus is made of a material that repels heat to allow the water to prevent overheating of the water.

SECURITY DEVICE AND SECURITY SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME

A security device includes a door handle unit disposed on a door body, a cover layer including a touch sensor and covering the door handle unit, a door locking unit which controls a locking of the door body. The touch sensor may include a plurality of sensor pixels, each including a sensor electrode which forms a second capacitor with a hand of a user when a touch occurs thereon by the user. The touch sensor may generate touch information based on a change in capacitance of the second capacitor corresponding to the touch.
