Pest control and detection system with conductive bait matrix

A pest control and detection system generally includes an electrically conductive bait matrix including at least one carrier material that is at least one of palatable, a phagostimulant, consumable, and displaceable by pests, and a plurality of electrically conductive particles. The electrically conductive particles are substantially randomly interspersed throughout the at least one carrier material. The at least one carrier material includes at least one of a thermoplastic material and a resin.

Insect Bait Stake
20240315229 · 2024-09-26 · ·

An insect bait stake comprises a container defining an internal cavity adapted to hold a quantity of liquid bait. The container includes a first housing defining a first portion of the internal cavity, a second housing attached to the first housing and defining a second portion of the internal cavity, and a tab portion adapted to be removed for exposing the internal cavity to the exterior environment. A first anti-crushing element is arranged within the internal cavity and between the first housing and the second housing. The anti-crushing element fixes a distance between the first housing and the second housing in response to a compressive force placed on the container. A passageway is formed by the container and is in communication with the internal cavity on a first end thereof. The passageway extends through at least one of the first housing or the second housing to the tab portion.

Networked pest control system

A pest control device system includes a plurality of pest control devices and a data collector. The system may further include the data collector in the form of a gateway that is connected to a data management server via a computer network along with other gateways in corresponding pest control device groups. Each pest control device includes a pest sensor and a wireless communication circuit to transmit information from the corresponding sensor. The devices also configure to define a local wireless communication network that can relay the information from one to the next and ultimately to the data collector.

PEST CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
20180263232 · 2018-09-20 ·

A system and method of monitoring and controlling cellulose-consuming pests in a predetermined location with existing wells formed in the ground, provides for the use of an assembly that has a main body with a transverse upper lip, a flexible resilient sealing member fitted underside the lip in a surrounding relationship to the main body, and tightening bolts extending through the lip and the sealing member. When torque is applied to the tightening bolts, the sealing member is then compressed, causing it to expand horizontally and engage the interior walls of the existing well by sealing same. The main body is configured to removably receive one or more bait unit therein. A cap covering an open top of the main body covers the bait units when the system is positioned in the well.

BIOLOGICALLY-BASED CONTROL METHODS FOR INSECT PESTS

The present invention provides novel compositions and methods for using the insect neuromodulator tyramine and/or one or more derivatives thereof delivered to insect populations to control certain aspects of such populations. The amount of tyramine and/or one or more derivatives thereof delivered on a per insect basis is significantly greater than a naturally-occurring amount of tyramine normally found in insects and causes deleterious effects including mortality of certain insect life forms and disruption of the reproductive capacity of others in the population.

Pesticidal tape for controlling crawling pests

In a tape for controlling crawling pests, on the first side (S1) is a carrier layer having a multitude of vertically extending structures, and on the opposite side (S2) is a means for attaching the tape to a surface. At least the first side (S1) is impregnated with a composition of A) 0.1 to 45% by weight (based on the total of A plus B) of one or more insecticides and B) 99.9 to 55% by weight (based on the total of A plus B) of an (meth)acrylate binder of one or more homo- or copolymer having units derived from one or more acrylates and/or methacrylates.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR PEST REDUCTION

The present invention includes a new type of bait for wood-targeting pest baiting systems and methods of obtaining the bait. Certain embodiments of the present invention include a blue-stained wood either treated with a solution that includes blue-stain fungi or wood naturally infected with blue-stain fungi. Additional embodiments of the present invention include a blue-stained solution that may be applied to a wood substrate or to a non-wood bait matrix.

METHOD OF MAKING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL INCLUDING A THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER, A PEST FOOD MATERIAL AND A PESTICIDE

Composite materials that are palatable to a wood-destroying pest species and also pesticidal to the pest species can be used in pest control devices and can be used as wood substitutes for structural components, which are resistant to destruction by wood-destroying pests. The composite materials include a thermoplastic polymer, a food material for the pest and a pesticide. The composite material is formed by mixing a thermoplastic polymer, wood fragments or other cellulosic materials and a quantity of pesticide, and thereafter creating a molten material within a mixer, compounder, extruder or the like. The molten material is extruded or molded to form the desired shape.

Dual action lethal containers, systems, methods and compositions for killing adult mosquitos and larvae

Dual action lethal containers, systems, methods, compositions and formulas used to kill mosquitoes and their larvae. The containers can have separate interior larvicidal and adulticidal coatings separated from each other by horizontal water line holes in the container. Another container can use a novel combined coating of a larvicidal and adulticidal coating. Unique compositions of adulticidal coatings, larvicidal coatings and combined adulticidal and larvicidal coatings can be used as liners.
