SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HYDRONIC DISTRIBUTION WITH SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS IN AN UNPRESSURIZED TANK
A heat distribution system, method and computer program product, including an unpressurized tank configured for holding a heat transfer fluid; and one or more submersible heat transfer fluid pumps configured to pump the heat transfer fluid to one or more heat load loops respectively connected to the one or more heat transfer fluid pumps.
Regulating method for a heating and/or cooling system with at least one load circuit
A regulating method for a heating and/or cooling system uses at least one load circuit (6), through which a fluid as a heat transfer medium flows and switches the at least one load circuit (6) on and off in dependence on a room temperature in a room to be thermally regulated by the at least one load circuit (6). A feed temperature (T.sub.mix) of the fluid fed to the at least one load circuit (6) is set in dependence on the relative switch-on duration (D) of the at least one load circuit (6). A manifold device is also provided for a heating and/or cooling system with a control device for carrying out such a regulating method.
Thermal reduction through activity based thermal targeting to enhance heating system efficiency
Thermal targeting technology is used to continuously adjust boiler target temperature to the minimum necessary to satisfy the required heating load. Responsive to and initiated by a first call for heat, boiler target temperature is reduced by a predetermined amount upon or subsequent to the call for heat. Once the boiler temperature reaches this new target, a call timer is activated. If demand for heat is satisfied before a time set point is reached, the system ceases providing additional heat energy until the next heat demand. Responsive to and initiated by a next call for heat, the boiler target temperature is again reduced by the predetermined amount upon or subsequent to this next call for heat. Each time the heat demand is satisfied within the predetermined time interval, the boiler target temperature is reduced. If heat demand is not satisfied, a thermal boost is provided at set time intervals until the call for heat is removed.
HEATING DEVICE FOR HOT WATER MAT
Provided is a heating device for a hot water mat that can minimize noise by a check valve for controlling flow of liquid. The heating device for a hot water mat includes: a water tank having a tub for keeping liquid and a discharge hole formed through a side of a lower portion to discharge the liquid in the tub; a heating module connected to the discharge hole and heating liquid; a separator disposed in the water tank, dividing the tub in to a first compartment at a lower portion and a second compartment at an upper portion, and having a connection hole for connecting the first compartment and the second compartment to each other; and a check valve disposed in the first compartment and opening and closing the connection hole by moving up and down by buoyancy from the liquid in the first compartment.
Boiler control system
A system and method for controlling a boiler comprising a microcomputer operatively connected to a microcontroller wherein the microcontroller is configured to provide flame safeguard operations and the microcomputer is configured to provide operating control instructions to the microcontroller. The boiler control system may operate either in a stand-alone, cascade master or cascade slave configuration.
Low water sensor testing device
A low water sensor testing device having an initial piping unit connected to a hot water boiler and also connected to a first three way purge valve unit, which valve unit is, in turn, connected to a T-shaped piping unit and affixed within the stem portion of which there is a low water level sensor unit with the T-shaped piping unit being further connected to a second three way purge valve unit, wholly equivalent to the first valve unit, with the second valve unit being connected to an adapter unit, in turn, also connected to outflow piping carrying boiler heated water via outflow piping to the heating system of a residential or commercial structure.
Operation of a HVAC system using a combined hydronic and forced air system
A method for cooling or heating a building is provided. An air flow can be created in an air duct and the air flow can be cooled or heated by an air conditioning system or furnace. The cooled or heated air flow can then pass through a heat exchanger connected to a radiant heating loop running through a floor or slab with a liquid circulating through them. When the airflow is being cooled or heated by the air conditioning system or furnace, the air flow will alter the temperature of the liquid circulating through the heat exchanger herefore the temperature of the slab. When the temperature of the slab varies from the temperature of the building, liquid that has been circulated through the radiant heating loop can be used to alter the temperature of the air flow passing through the heat exchanger.
Methods and apparatus for heating air with hot water
A method controls an air handler that generates heated air from hot water generated by a water heater. The method includes generating a signal in the presence or absence of an indicia of water flow associated with the water heater; initiating operation of a pump associated with the air handler when the signal indicates that water flow associated with the water heater is at least at a selected level to supply hot water to the air handler sufficient to generate heated air; and/or terminating operation of the pump and/or a blower/fan associated with the air handler when the presence or absence signal indicates that the water flow associated with the water heater is less than the selected level.
Method and devices for equalizing a group of consumers in a fluid transport system
For the purpose of balancing (S3) a group of consumers in a fluid transport system in which each consumer is configured with a motorized regulating valve for the purpose of regulating the flow through the consumer, characteristic data for the consumer is saved (S2) which determines a valve position of the corresponding regulating valve for the target throughput through each consumer. A momentary total throughput through the group of consumers is determined (S32) by means of a common throughput sensor, and based on the momentary total throughput and a sum of the desired target throughputs through the consumers, a balancing factor is determined (S34). By setting (S31) the valve positions of the corresponding regulating valves based on the characteristic data and the balancing factor, a dynamic balancing of the consumers is carried out.
