MUFFLER FOR AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS AND AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
Provided is a muffler for an air-conditioning apparatus, which is compact and has a small pressure loss, and an air-conditioning apparatus including the same. The muffler for an air-conditioning apparatus including a muffler main body which has small diameter portions on an inlet side and an outlet side, the small diameter portions having inner diameters smaller than an inner diameter of a central portion of the muffler main body, an inlet pipe connected to the small diameter portion on the inlet side of the muffler main body; and an outlet pipe connected to the small diameter portion on the outlet side of the muffler main body. The inlet pipe is inserted into the muffler main body, and has a distal end positioned at a center of a length from an inlet to an outlet of the muffler main body. The distal end side of the inlet pipe inserted into the muffler main body has an inner diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the inlet pipe on an upstream of the distal end side.
Air Conditioning Compressor Sound Attenuation
A method of forming a sound attenuator around a compressor of an air conditioning system includes covering the compressor with a flexible protective cover and depositing a plurality of materials proximate an outer surface of the flexible protective cover such that at least some of the plurality of materials can chemically react to create a self-forming foam that abuts at least some of the flexible protective cover to thereby create the sound-attenuating structure around the compressor.

HEAT SOURCE UNIT FOR A HEAT PUMP
A heat source unit for a heat pump having a refrigerant circuit, the heat source unit having: an outer casing including a bottom plate; and a compressor assembly accommodated in the outer casing, the compressor assembly including a compressor of the refrigerant circuit of the heat pump including a compressor housing, a support plate supporting the compressor, the support plate being mounted via dampers to the bottom plate, and a compressor casing enclosing the compressor and the compressor housing. A damping mechanism is arranged between the compressor and the support plate, and the compressor casing is fixed to the support plate out of contact with the compressor housing.

Refrigeration cycle apparatus
A refrigeration cycle apparatus has a compressor disposed via a bottom member of a housing, a second elastic member, a base, and a first elastic member. A first electric component that drives a motor for the compressor and a second electric component that performs another control are fixed to the base and disposed. The base has an upper surface that contacts the first elastic member and a lower surface that contacts the second elastic member. The first electric component and the second electric component are fixed to the upper surface directly or indirectly via a substrate and/or an electric-component casing. Top portions of the first electric component and the second electric component are lower than a top portion of the compressor.

SOUND INSULATION ASSEMBLY, AND AIR CONDITIONER HAVING SAME
A sound insulation assembly, and an air conditioner having same, to solve the problem of poor sound insulation. The sound insulation assembly of the air conditioner includes a housing and a cover; an accommodation space to accommodate a compressor assembly is formed in the housing; the top of the housing is covered with the cover; a sound insulation chamber is defined by the cover and the accommodation space; the compressor assembly is arranged in the sound insulation chamber; the sound insulation assembly further includes a first sealing component; the first sealing component is arranged on contact areas of the housing and the cover for sealing. The compressor assembly is arranged so that noise generated by operating of the compressor assembly can be better insulated in the sound insulation chamber.
AIR CONDITIONER
An air conditioner includes an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The outdoor unit includes a housing, a compressor, a first damping member, and a second damping member. The compressor is provided with a pipe. The first damping member and the second damping member each are disposed on the pipe. The second damping member is located at a preset position of the pipe. The first damping member and the second damping member are configured to change a natural resonant frequency of the pipe to a target frequency. The second damping member includes a housing assembly and a clamping groove. The clamping groove is disposed on a side of the cavity proximate to the pipe, so that a center of gravity of the second damping member deviates from a center of gravity of a portion of the pipe connected with the damping groove.
