AIR CLEANER
An air cleaner includes: an air cleaner box defining a clean chamber that is placed rearward of a dirty chamber, the clean chamber receiving air which has been introduced from front into the dirty chamber and then filtered through an air cleaner element; and funnels that are to be connected to an intake port of an internal combustion engine, the funnels protruding upward into a space within the air cleaner box from a bottom wall of the air cleaner box. The air cleaner further includes a breather chamber into which blow-by gas is introduced from the internal combustion engine, the breather chamber being placed rearward of the funnels and between the funnels and a rear wall of the air cleaner box. Accordingly, the air cleaner can further promote the air-liquid separation of blow-by gas without incurring an increase in weight of the internal combustion engine.
CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A blow-by gas treating device discharges blow-by gas into intake air. A controller selects and executes one of a fuel cutoff process and a fuel introduction process when stopping combustion in a cylinder under a situation in which a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine is rotating. An injection valve controlling section controls a fuel injection valve to regulate a fuel injection amount in a period in which the combustion in the cylinder is stopped under the situation in which the crankshaft is rotating. The injection valve controlling section decreases the fuel injection amount from the fuel injection valve as an oil temperature that is the temperature of engine oil increases.

An elastomer component, which is exposed to blow-by gases of an internal combustion engine, includes a function body made of a elastomer material and a fluorine layer arranged on the outside of the function body.
FLUIDIC PCV VALVE ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEM
Provided is a PCV valve assembly that includes a fluidic geometry that allows for the flow of combustion fluid/gas to flow between an inlet and an outlet and switch between two modes of operation, (i) a radial or high flow mode, and (ii) a tangential or low flow mode, as dictated during the operation of the engine. At low vacuums, the fluidic equipped PCV valve assembly has been tuned to operate in the radial mode producing high flow rates due to low flow resistance. As vacuum increases, the PCV valve assembly is tuned to automatically switch modes. This may be enabled due to the shape of the fluidic geometry and the bypass channel which is adapted to vary the amount of flow between a first and a second control ports. The bypass channel allows the geometric fluidic pattern to switch between the high flow mode and the low flow mode.
Cylinder head cover and method for producing a cylinder head cover
The object of the invention is to provide a cylinder head cover which comprises an integrated valve device and is easy to produce. To achieve this object, according to the invention the cylinder head cover comprises the following: a cover body which, when the cylinder head cover is mounted, is arranged on an engine block of the internal combustion engine and covers a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine; a valve device comprising a valve body and a main body for receiving the valve body, the main body of the valve device being secured to an inner face of the cover body by means of a weld joint.
Bi-directional fluidic PCV valve assembly and system
Provided is a bi-directional PCV valve assembly, system and method. The bi-directional PCV valve may include a fluidic geometry that allows for a flow of fluid a high flow rate in one direction, forward flow, and a low flow rate in the opposite direction, reverse flow. The reverse flow includes a swirling flow that increases the pressure drop and reduces the flow rate to a third of the flow rate of the forward flow. The disclosed assembly produces a strong swirling flow (vortex) in the reverse direction and an efficient (low pressure drop) flow in the forward direction.
Restrictors using the Venturi effect
Restrictors are disclosed that include a body defining a Venturi tube having a throat defining a junction of a converging inlet cone to a diverging outlet cone along a longitudinal axis thereof, and with the converging inlet cone and the diverging outlet cone each defining an inner passageway that transitions as a hyperbolic or parabolic function toward the throat.
Unit for regulating or controlling a fluid pressure
A unit for regulating or controlling a fluid pressure of a fluid has a housing with at least one housing part and an inlet and an outlet for the fluid. A switching film is connected to the housing part and switches at pressure differences of 1 to 250 mbar relative to an ambient pressure acting on the switching film. The switching film regulates, releases or blocks a flow of the fluid between the inlet and the outlet for the fluid. The switching film is made of thermoplastic synthetic material. An opening cross section of the housing part is closed off by the switching film. In a method for fluid-tightly connecting a switching film to a housing part of the unit, a radial outwardly positioned joining region of the switching film is fluid-tightly pressed against the housing part in the region of joining surface.
BLOW-BY GAS DEVICE OF SUPERCHARGER-EQUIPPED ENGINE
A blow-by gas device of a supercharger-equipped engine includes a blow-by gas passage that introduces blow-by gas into an intake passage via a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve. A supercharger has a supercharger rotor provided integrally with a rotation shaft rotatably supported on a bearing part. A space communicating with the bearing part is connected to a communication passage. The communication passage guides the blow-by gas into the space.
Traction control system for electric multiple units
The present invention relates to an oil tank ventilation device for a hydraulic brake unit of a tramcar, comprising a vent plug, a sealing ring, a gas guide hole and a gas guide pipe; the gas guide hole is a through-hole structure arranged at an upper end inside an integrated valve block; the communications of electrical element protection case, integrated valve block and the oil tank are realized by the gas guide pipe stretched into an air chamber of the oil tank and by the vent plug configured in the electrical element protection case. When the surface of the oil tank is covered with ice or snow, the rain or snow can be effectively prevent from falling on the vent plug body and the driving safety of the train is ensured.
