A lubrication system lubricates components across a rotation gap. The lubrication system includes a lubricant input. A stationary first bearing receives lubricant from the lubricant input and has a first race in which lubricant flows. A second bearing rotates within the first bearing. The second bearing has a first opening in registration with the first race such that lubricant may flow from the first race through the first opening into a first conduit.
Filter arrangement for a selective catalytic reduction system
The present disclosure is directed towards a filter arrangement for a reductant supply system of a selective catalytic reduction system. The reductant supply system comprises a tank and a suction tube mounted at least partially in the tank for receiving reductant liquid from the tank. The filter arrangement comprises a restraining body, a filter at least partially forming a filter chamber, a filter outlet from the filter chamber formed through the restraining body and/or filter and a filter mount mounted to the restraining body and/or filter. The restraining body extends radially outwardly from the filter mount and is configured to restrain the filter such that, under the effect of buoyancy in the tank in use, gas in the filter chamber is directed towards the filter outlet.

Methods and systems are provided for estimation of a volume of liquid diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) contained within a DEF tank. In one example, a method for the estimation of the volume of liquid DEF in a DEF tank during DEF freezing conditions may include activating a heater contained within the DEF tank, and then switching estimation of the volume of liquid DEF via a first transfer function to estimation of the volume of liquid DEF via a second transfer function.

A method for operating a motor vehicle having an exhaust gas aftertreatment device involves an on-board electronic computing device receiving consumption information characterizing consumption of a reducing agent by the exhaust gas aftertreatment device and tank information characterizing a filling level of a reducing agent tank. Tank information is evaluated together with the consumption information with regard to a divergence, and upon determination of the divergence between the tank information and the consumption information, error information is stored in a blockchain characterizing the motor vehicle, and an action of the motor vehicle is triggered.

A method of adjusting the dosage of a reductant for an SCR catalyst, comprising: determining (110) an expected temperature profile in at least one axial section of the catalyst (70) for a defined period of time (t.sub.Sim); firstly simulating (120) the resulting amount of reductant beyond the at least one section of the catalyst with a first defined dosage of the reductant depending on the expected temperature profile determined; comparing the first simulated amount of reductant with a limit; depending on the result of the comparison, choosing a second defined dosage and secondly simulating (130, 160) a resulting amount of reductant beyond the at least one section of the catalyst (70) with the second dosage; comparing the second simulated amount of reductant with the limit; and adjusting (140, 150, 170, 180, 190, 195) the dosage for injection of the reductant into the catalyst based on the first and/or second comparison.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DIAGNOSING AN AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing aftertreatment of exhaust gases resulting from combustion, wherein at least a first substance resulting from said combustion is reduced by supplying additive to an exhaust gas stream resulting from said combustion and use of a first reduction catalytic converter. The method includes: estimating an accumulated expected reduction of said first substance during a first period of time, determining an accumulated actual reduction of said first substance during a period of time at least substantially overlapping said first period of time, and generating a signal indicating a fault in said reduction of said first substance when said accumulated actual reduction differs from said accumulated expected reduction by a predetermined difference in occurrence of said first substance. The invention also relates to a corresponding system.
