POPPET VALVE FOR FLUID PUMP

The present disclosure relates to a pneumatically driven fluid pump apparatus having an outer pump housing for collecting liquid to be pumped, and a valve assembly in communication with liquid admitted through an inlet end of the outer pump housing and collecting within the outer pump housing. The valve assembly includes a housing assembly and a poppet valve assembly disposed within the housing assembly to act as a one-way check valve when pumping collected liquid out from the outer pump housing. The poppet valve assembly includes a poppet valve component including a relief area that helps to depressurize an interior area of the valve assembly, to facilitate rapid movement of the poppet valve element from an open position toward a closed position, when only a pressurized fluid flow being used to eject the collected liquid is flowing past the poppet valve component.

FUEL DELIVERY INJECTOR

A fuel delivery injector includes a housing, an inlet port fluidly coupled to a cavity to direct fuel vapor and liquid fuel into the cavity, and an outlet port fluidly coupled to the cavity to direct fuel vapor and liquid fuel out of the cavity. A magnetic assembly is fixedly positioned within the cavity, and a pumping assembly includes a bobbin and a piston. A return spring is coupled to the pumping assembly to bias the pumping assembly to a home position. A valve is positioned within the piston and is movable between an open position and a closed position. The liquid fuel entering the housing through the inlet port flows from the inlet port to the cavity and fuel vapor entering the housing through the inlet port is directed through a conduit to the outlet port.

UNIBODY BYPASS PLUNGER AND VALVE CAGE WITH SEALABLE PORTS

A bypass plunger includes a unibody, or one-piece hollow body and valve cage, retains a dart valve within the valve cage portion using a threaded retaining nut secured by crimple detents, and includes sealable flow parts. A series of helical grooves surround the central portion of the outer surface of the hollow body of the plunger to control spin during descent. A canted-coil-spring disposed within the retaining nut functions as a clutch. The valve cage includes ports that may be configured to control flow through the plunger during descent. Other embodiments include clutch assemblies using canted-coil springs with split bobbins, and surfaced valve stems surfaced.

Hydraulic system and method for providing fluid pressure to hydraulically-powered systems

A hydraulic system is provided for powering one or more external hydraulically powered devices. The system includes one or more pumping systems attached to a common crankshaft and including an inner sleeve, an outer sleeve, a valve member and an end body. The system can include a pair of high pressure fluid tanks and a low pressure fluid tank. The pumping systems can increase the fluid pressure within the high pressure fluid tanks back and forth and in a sequenced manner, and force the higher pressure fluid through the one or more powered devices. Drive systems are provided to assist the pumping systems in rotating the common crankshaft. The drive systems can include a piston assembly for rotating the crankshaft and a valving system for directing fluid into the piston assembly to power the piston assembly.

A poppet valve assembly including a valve seat defining at least one inlet port configured to receive a working fluid, a valve guard coupled to or integral with the valve seat and defining at least one outlet port configured to discharge the working fluid therefrom, and a valve member disposed in a guide pocket defined in the valve guard. The valve member may include a primary impact surface configured to contact a planar surface of the valve guard facing the valve seat. The valve member may also include a secondary impact surface configured to contact a bottom portion of the valve guard within the guide pocket after a structural failure of the primary impact surface prevents substantially all of the primary contact surface from contacting the planar surface.

POPPET VALVE AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE

A method for manufacturing a poppet valve or mushroom valve includes providing a mixture of metal powder and a binder, filling and pressing said mixture in a mold, to obtain a green product, removing the binder from the green product, and thermally sintering the green product to a poppet valve blank, by hot isostatic pressing. A poppet valve is also provided that is manufactured with this method.
