A power tool includes an electric motor having an output shaft, a transmission having a transmission housing, a spindle rotatable in response to receiving torque from the transmission and a pinion coupled to the output shaft. The pinion includes a bushing portion, a toothed portion for driving the transmission, and a cylindrical portion between the bushing portion and the toothed portion. The power tool further comprises a fan coupled to the bushing portion of the pinion and a bearing arranged between the cylindrical portion and the transmission housing for rotatably supporting the pinion and the output shaft.

Methods and systems for cooling transmissions

A transmission includes a housing, a plurality of components, and a cooling system. The housing has a plurality of walls that cooperate to define an interior space and a sump configured to store lubricating fluid in use of the transmission. The plurality of components are arranged in the interior space and configured to cooperatively transmit rotational power between an input shaft and an output shaft of the transmission to reduce a rotational speed of the output shaft relative to a rotational speed of the input shaft in use of the transmission. At least one of the plurality of components is supplied with lubricating fluid stored by the sump in use of the transmission. The cooling system is supported by the housing.

Gear unit

A gear unit to be mounted in a vehicle includes a housing for storing oil, a partition disposed inside the housing, and a helical gear. The partition defines first and second oil chambers and has a through-hole allowing the first oil chamber to communicate with the second oil chamber. The helical gear disposed inside the first oil chamber rotates during running of the vehicle and has an angled tooth that draws inner and addendum circles defining a virtual circumferential plane. The through-hole coincides with a portion of the virtual circumferential plane in a direction parallel to a central axis of the helical gear. When the helical gear rotates in conjunction with the running of the vehicle, the oil flows from the second oil chamber into the first oil chamber so that an oil level of the first oil chamber becomes higher than that of the second oil chamber.

Driving system having oil circulation structure

Disclosed is a driving system having an oil circulation structure in which churned oil is collected in a housing and in which the collected oil is efficiently distributed to driving structures, which include a motor and a speed reducer, thereby smoothly cooling and lubricating the respective driving structures. In addition, it is possible to adjust the level of the oil depending on whether the driving structures are in a low-load state or a high-load state, thereby improving lubrication and cooling performance.

TRANSMISSION LUBRICATING ASSEMBLY OF HELICOPTER

A transmission lubricating assembly of a helicopter includes: a transmission including a speed change structure that changes the speed of rotation produced by rotational power input from a prime mover and outputs the resulting rotational power and a housing accommodating the speed change structure; and a lubricator that lubricates the speed change structure. The lubricator includes a collector that collects a mist of a lubricating oil in an internal space of the housing and a dropper that is disposed below the collector and that applies droplets of the lubricating oil to the speed change structure, the droplets resulting from the collected mist being gathered under its own weight.

Multi-speed gearbox and the drive axle made therewith

An electric drive axle of a vehicle includes an electric motor having an output shaft. An idler assembly is drivingly coupled to the electric motor and a differential. The idler assembly includes a first gear-clutch assembly to facilitate a first gear ratio and a second gear-clutch assembly to facilitate a second gear ratio.

A drive apparatus includes a motor; a reduction gear connected to the motor; a differential connected to the reduction gear, for rotating an axle about a differential axis; a housing including a gear housing portion housing the reduction gear and the differential; and an oil housed in the gear housing portion. The differential includes a gear for rotating about the differential axis. An end portion of the gear is lower than the reduction gear, and is configured to soak in the oil. The housing includes an oil drain hole and an oil feed hole for joining an interior of the housing and a space outside of the housing, a first stopper member removably in the oil drain hole, and a second stopper member removably in the oil feed hole. Each of the oil drain hole and the oil feed hole is in a portion of the gear housing portion.

Dynamic damper

A dynamic damper for suppressing vibration generated by a gear attached to a rotation shaft, the dynamic damper, includes: a mass body that is disposed inside a rotation shaft having a hollow shape and extends along a shaft center of the rotation shaft; and an elastic body that couples the mass body to the rotation shaft. Further, a flow path for lubricating liquid to flow is provided between an inner peripheral surface of the rotation shaft and the mass body, and the flow path is formed by the inner peripheral surface of the rotation shaft at an axial position where the elastic body is disposed.

HIGH-CAPACITY FLUID PUMP

A high-capacity fluid pump comprising a dedicated lubrication system in fluid communication with the pump's drive assembly to reduce wear of internal components within the gearbox, as well as a drive shaft-supported impeller and outboard head to reduce deflection. Moreover, the blades of the outboard head are preferably shaped to decrease the inlet's cross section and stabilize incoming fluid, thereby reducing cavitation, pre-rotation, and turbulent flow at the pump inlet and increasing the overall velocity of incoming fluid.
