A linearly actuated pinch clamp is provided, including a housing, a motor connected to the housing, a mechanical drive unit connected to the motor for converting a rotary motion of the motor to a linear motion and for introducing a mechanical advantage to the motion of the motor, and a pinching element having a body and a pinching surface. The pinching element body is coupled to the mechanical drive unit. In certain versions of the pinch clamp, the pinching element is slidably mounted to the housing such that the pinching element is linearly displaceable by the mechanical drive unit between a first position and a second position where the pinching surface cooperates with a fixed surface to pinch closed a flexible tube.

The method also includes displacing the pinching element relative to the pinching surface with a mechanical drive unit and biasing the pinching element toward the pinching surface with a spring.

Pinching device for temporarily closing flexible tubing

The pinching device has an upper jaw assembly that pivots on a lower jaw assembly to clamp a flexible tubing between two clamping surfaces to restrict flow in the tubing. The upper jaw assembly is removable and may be replaced to accommodate different sized tubing. A lock down screw of a pivotal locking nut assembly is positioned in a compression seat of the upper jaw assembly at closure to avoid movement once set.

An apparatus and method for crimping coupling rings are provided. The apparatus generally has a lower clamp head and an upper clamp head that may be drawn together by a fastener. The lower and upper clamp heads are designed to receive a first portion and a second portion of a coupling ring, respectively. A first and second post holds the clamp heads adjacent to each other. The upper clamp head is secured to the first post such that the upper clamp head may rotate in a generally circular motion to switch the apparatus from a closed to an open configuration, or vice versa. When the apparatus is placed in a closed configuration, the fastener may be engaged to draw the clamp heads together to increase the compressive force imposed on a coupling ring until the coupling ring becomes crimped.

The invention relates to a pinch valve that includes: a main body having a receiving space for a tube section, wherein the receiving space comprises a lateral opening of the main body; a counter-bearing section for a compressor that moves along a actuating axis; and a closure element which is movably fastened to the main body and which is movable relative to the main body between a first position, in which the closure element closes the lateral opening of the main body at least in sections, and a second position, in which the closure element exposes an insertion opening for the tube section.

A stable flow regulator assembly includes a body having an aperture that received a tube. The assembly also includes a worm gear that extends through, and is rotationally movable relative to, the body. A worm wheel is rotationally positioned within the body and is pivotably moved within the body by engagement with the worm gear. The worm wheel also includes a slot, configured to align with the aperture, through which a tube may be extended, and as the worm wheel is moved within the body, the slot and the aperture are moved out of and into alignment to compress and release compression upon the tube.

The pinch valve includes a valve member movable to compress or pinch a resilient tubular element extending through a passage of a housing or body of the valve to varying extents to regulate or prevent fluid flow through the tubular element. The valve member includes a valve head configured to pinch the tubular element through a range of progressively more flow restrictive crescent shapes into a generally U-shape, and while doing so cooperates with side surfaces of the body or housing to bend or fold over lateral end portions of the tubular element that form distal ends of the U-shape. The valve member additionally includes pinch shoulders that follow the pinch head and secondarily pinch or compress the folded over end portions together to complete closure of the tubular element as the U-shape is pinched closed, to prevent leaking, trapping of fluids, and damaging the tubular element under high fluid pressures.

Pinch valve

A pinch valve includes a clamping jaw (12) which displaces perpendicularly to an axial direction and forms a mouth (16) that receives a flexible tube (18) that extends in the axial direction, and an abutment (12; 21) which is opposite the clamping jaw in the jaw displacement direction. The clamping jaw and the abutment are disposed relative to one another such that the tube is pinched by the advancing clamping jaw against the abutment. The clamping jaw has a displaceable support element (14) and two claws (16a; 16b) located opposite one another and engaging around the tube at least in some regions. The claws are articulated on the support element by the respective rear ends thereof such as to pivot about pivot pins oriented parallel to the axial direction, whereby the mouth opens as the clamping jaw advances and closes as the clamping jaw retracts.
