HYDROGEN STORAGE APPARATUS
A hydrogen storage apparatus of a vehicle driven by a fuel cell comprising hydrogen storage tank holding apparatuses 8, 9 having pluralities of hydrogen storage tank insert parts 10. When the replaceable hydrogen storage tank 20 is inserted into the hydrogen storage tank insert part 10, the hydrogen outflow part 28 of the hydrogen storage tank 20 is coupled with the hydrogen inflow part 23 connected to the fuel cell 40. The grippable handle 24 is formed at the end portion of the hydrogen storage tank 20. A work of inserting the hydrogen storage tank 20 into the hydrogen storage tank insert part 10 and a work of coupling the hydrogen inflow part 23 and the hydrogen outflow part 28 is performed by gripping the handle 24.

ESTIMATION OF A TANK SLOSHING RESPONSE USING A STATISTICAL MODEL TRAINED BY MACHINE LEARNING
A system and method for the estimation of a sloshing response of a sealed and thermally insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. A statistical model is trained using a supervised machine learning method on a set of test data that may include sea test data, the statistical model being capable of estimating a sloshing response of the tank depending on a tank fill level and a current sea state, and optionally at least one of a draught, speed or course of the vessel. The statistical model trained in this manner is used to estimate a sloshing response of a sealed and thermally insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. In an alternative embodiment, the statistical model estimates the sloshing response from a tank fill level and a current sea state, and optionally from at least one of a draught, speed or course of the vessel.
VEHICLE AIR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A vehicle air management system is provided. The vehicle air management system comprises an air tank and a boost air tank. Based on a signal indicative of an air consumption level of at least one air consumer, a control unit is configured to control the vehicle air management system to deliver pressurized air from the boost air tank to be supplied to an air compressor.
METHOD FOR DETECTING A LEAK IN A SEALED AND THERMALLY INSULATING TANK
The invention relates to a method for detection of a leak from a tank for liquid gas, said tank comprising a membrane surrounding the liquid gas, the membrane being surrounded by an insulation space which separates the membrane from a wall, the insulation space being filled an inert gas which is injected and extracted by at least one duct. The detection method comprises the following steps: determining 921 a first variation of mass of inert gas ΔM1 between two moments by measuring the gas added and removed by the duct; calculating 922 a second variation of mass of inert gas ΔM2 corresponding to a difference between two masses of inert gas measured in the insulation space; and comparing 931 the first variation with the second variation, and triggering an alarm if a difference E1 between the first variation and the second variation of mass of inert gas is greater than a first threshold S1.
Automated cryogenic refilling system
An improved system and method for the automated refilling of cryogenic helium is provided. In one embodiment, the system includes a dewar in fluid communication with a liquid helium cryostat through a cryogen transfer line. A controller regulates operation of a three-way valve to pre-cool the transfer line and to cause gaseous helium to flow to the dewar and force liquid helium through the transfer line into the cryostat. The controller is coupled to the output of a cryogenic level sensor, such that the controller regulates the helium liquid level within the cryostat. During filling cycles, the dewar liquid level is also monitored by the cryogenic level sensor and an alarm sounds if the dewar liquid level is undesirably low. Between filling cycles, the controller is operable to ventilate the dewar through a solenoid vent valve in fixed time intervals to ensure the dewar pressure is sufficiently low so as to not bleed liquid helium into the cryostat.
Method of Monitoring Liquefied Gas In A Cryogenic Liquefied Gas Tank And A Cryogenic Tank
The present application relates to method and system of monitoring liquefied gas in a cryogenic liquefied gas tank having an inner shell and an outer shell and an insulation between the inner and outer shell. An exemplary method includes arranging an array of temperature sensors for measuring a temperature of the inner shell wall at different vertical positions, reading sensors in the array, performing a validity check of the sensors, and using only sensors which passed the validity check only, determining a state of the gas based on the temperature data.
