ALTERNATIVE METHODS FOR WHITENING TOBACCO
The present disclosure provides a method of preparing whitened tobacco composition including chemically pulping a tobacco material to form a tobacco pulp, extracting the tobacco pulp with an extraction solution, treating the tobacco pulp with a solution comprising an oxidizing agent for a time and at a temperature sufficient to lighten the color of the tobacco pulp to give a whitened tobacco pulp, and drying the whitened tobacco pulp to provide the whitened tobacco composition. Alternative bleaching processes and treatment methods effective for preparing whitened tobacco compositions are also provided herein.
POUCHED PRODUCTS
A pouched product adapted for release of a water-soluble component therefrom is provided herein. The pouched product can include an outer water-permeable pouch defining a cavity containing a composition that includes a water-soluble component capable of being released through the water-permeable pouch and has a surface area, wherein the outer water-permeable pouch material is formed by a process which includes needle punching.
TERPENES AND THC COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
In embodiments described herein, there is provided a composition is provided including 1) a terpene comprising at least one of: a) a primary terpene; b) a secondary terpene; and c) a tertiary terpene; 2) THC including a) synthetic THC, or b) organic THC, or a combination thereof; and optionally, 3) a natural smokable.
PURIFICATION OF TOBACCO-DERIVED PROTEIN COMPOSITIONS
The disclosure describes methods for the purification of protein-enriched extracts to provide concentrates and isolates and methods for incorporation of such materials into products. The purification methods are adapted for removal of nicotine and may have other benefits, e.g., lightening the color of the protein-enriched extracts. The methods generally include treatment with peracetic acid or hydrogen peroxide and filtrations. A protein composition in the form of a concentrate or isolate is provided, the protein composition including RuBisCO, F2 fraction proteins, or combination thereof extracted from a plant of the Nicotiana species, wherein the protein composition is characterized by relatively low nicotine content.
DEHYDRATION OF TOBACCO AND TOBACCO-DERIVED MATERIALS
A method of modifying the moisture level of (e.g., dehydrating) a tobacco plant or portion thereof, a tobacco-derived material, a tobacco product, or a tobacco additive is provided herein. The methods of dehydration disclosed herein can provide various benefits relative to traditional drying techniques, including providing retention of various beneficial components present in green tobacco (e.g., organoleptic compounds and proteins). Smoking articles and other tobacco products including such dehydrated tobacco materials are also provided.
Vaporizable Tobacco Wax Compositions and Container Thereof
The invention relates to tobacco wax compositions suitable for use in a vaporizer. The tobacco wax may comprise additional excipients including vapor agents, penetration agents, buffer agents, and theological agents. The composition contains nicotine. The tobacco wax composition leaves a minimum of residue in the vaporizer when used. In another aspect, the invention relates to a portion-sized container (pod) of a tobacco wax composition for administration to a mammal or person. The pod is intended tor use in a personal (or other) vaporizer.
CANNABINOID DEPLETED CANNABIS FORMULATIONS AND PRODUCTS
An article and composition of matter including processed cannabis plant material with at least one cannabinoid, wherein the cannabis plant material has been processed to remove a material portion of one or more cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant material to a level sufficient to prevent an onset of negative consequences of THC consumption if said material portion is not removed.
MULTI-SECTION HEAT-NOT-BURN PRODUCT HAVING HEMP COMPONENTS AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A multi-section heat-not-burn product having hemp components includes a fuming product used for being heated and baked rather than being suctioned after the fuming product is lighted. The fuming product is composed of a plurality of different units integrally filled from a lip proximity end to a lip far end by a tubular material having a fixed specification, which includes four or more different units including a filtering unit, a gel cooling and spice unit, a hollow specific particle unit, a hollow supporting unit, a cavity unit, a barrier sheet unit, an atomizing unit having hemp components and a sealing unit. The present disclosure can obtain a finished fuming unit product after sealing the heat-not-burn product having hemp components, and reliably solve problems of a single type of smoke bomb and a complicated processing technology in the heat-not-burn field by mixing with smoke agents with different flavors of spice components.
TOBACCO EXTRACT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING TOBACCO EXTRACT, AND NON-COMBUSTION FLAVOR INHALER INCLUDING TOBACCO EXTRACT
An object of the present invention is to provide a tobacco extract that, when utilized for a non-combustion type flavor inhaler, does not generate insoluble particles in a liquid mixture or the like, and can thereby suppress scorching at a heat source section and also suppress a change in smoke flavor. The present invention provides a tobacco extract produced by subjecting all or a portion of a tobacco plant body to steam distillation to obtain a fraction, subjecting the fraction to solvent extraction with a suitable organic solvent, and removing the organic solvent.
