A vane assembly includes an airfoil fairing that has first and second fairing platforms and a hollow airfoil section that extends there between. A spar has a spar leg that extends through the hollow airfoil section. The spar leg has a through-passage and an end portion that protrudes from the second fairing platform. A support is secured with the end portion of the spar leg. The support has a platform that includes first and second sides, an opening that extends between the first and second sides, and a nozzle tube that extends from the second side. The first side is adjacent the second fairing platform. The end portion of the spar leg is disposed in the opening so as to fluidly connect the through-passage with the nozzle tube.

A gas turbine nozzle assembly of a gas turbine is provided. The turbine nozzle assembly may include a turbine nozzle extending from an inner diameter to an outer diameter and having an airfoil-shaped cross section having a leading edge and a trailing edge, and a pressure side and a suction side each of which extends from the leading edge to the trailing edge, wherein the turbine nozzle may include a hollow airfoil including a plurality of cavities positioned in the airfoil, an insert positioned in one or more of the plurality of cavities of the hollow airfoil, a plurality of cover plates, at least one of which is positioned at one of the inner diameter and at the outer diameter, and a plurality of impingement pans, at least one of which is positioned at one of the inner diameter and at the outer diameter.
Airfoil with rib having connector arms
An airfoil includes an airfoil wall that defines a leading end, a trailing end, and first and second sides that join the leading end and the trailing end. A rib connects the first and second sides of the airfoil wall. The rib defines a tube portion that circumscribes a rib passage, and first and second connector arms that solely join the tube portion to, respectively, the first and second sides of the airfoil wall.

The present technique presents a turbomachine component having an airfoil e.g. a vane of a gas turbine. The airfoil wall defines an internal space which includes a first and a second cooling channels having a first and a second impingement inserts, that define a first main and a first peripheral flow channels in the first cooling channel and a second main and a second peripheral flow channels in the second cooling channel, respectively. Impingement jets ejected from the main flow channels via impingement holes of the corresponding impingement inserts are received in the corresponding peripheral flow channels. A channel connecting conduit conducts a flow of the cooling air from the first cooling channel to the second cooling channel. The channel connecting conduit includes an inlet connected to an outlet of the first cooling channel, and an outlet connected to an inlet of the second cooling channel.
Airfoil with trailing edge rounding
An airfoil for a gas turbine engine includes a substrate portion extending from an airfoil leading edge to an airfoil trailing edge portion. The airfoil trailing edge portion includes a flared portion wherein a substrate portion thickness increases along a camber line of the airfoil, and a trailing edge defined as a full constant radius extending from a pressure side of the airfoil to a suction side of the airfoil. A coating portion includes a coating applied over at least a portion of the substrate portion.
Airfoil with convex sides and multi-piece baffle
An airfoil includes an airfoil section that has an airfoil wall that defines a leading end, a trailing end, and first and second convex sides that join the leading end and the trailing end. The first and second convex sides span in a longitudinal direction between first and second ends. The first and second convex sides define lateral bounds of an internal core cavity, and the first and second convex sides converge toward each other at each of the first and second ends such that the internal core cavity constricts at the first and second ends. A multi-piece baffle is disposed in the internal core cavity and has a shape that is complementary to the first and second convex sides.

An airfoil includes an airfoil wall that defines a leading end, a trailing end, and first and second sides that join the leading end and the trailing end.
