Authentication medium, authentication medium manufacturing method, authentication medium reading method, and authentication medium verification method
An authentication medium includes a sheet-like laminate sheet; a first region that is formed on the laminate sheet and where personal identification information is recorded; and a second region that is formed on the laminate sheet and has a hologram structure where check data associated with first individual information is recorded.
Multi-layer body and method for the production thereof
The invention relates to a multilayer body with a volume hologram layer and a partial opaque layer, arranged on a surface of the volume hologram layer, which is present in a first area and is not present in a second area. The invention furthermore relates to a method for the production of such a multilayer body, as well as a security element and security document with such a multilayer body.
OPTICALLY VARIABLE SECURITY DEVICES
An optical device is formed by hot stamping a demetallized hologram to an optically variable foil or to a coating of optically variable ink. In another embodiment a hologram is hot stamped to a banknote or document printed with a color-shifting ink.
Method of producing volume hologram laminate
A main object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a volume hologram laminate which can regenerate a hologram image in an arbitrary wavelength by a simple process. To attain the object, the present invention provides a method of producing a volume hologram laminate using a volume hologram forming substrate which comprises: a substrate, a volume hologram layer formed on the substrate and containing a photopolymerizable material, a resin layer, formed on the substrate so as to contact to the volume hologram layer, containing a resin and a polymerizable compound, characterized in that the producing method comprises processes of: a hologram recording process to record a volume hologram to the volume hologram layer, a substance transit process of transiting the polymerizable compound to the volume hologram layer, and an after-treatment process of polymerizing the polymerizable compound.
Electron-beam coating device
An apparatus and method for curing an electron-beam coating on a flexible substrate. A continuously looping master web is mated with the flexible substrate to cover the electron-beam coating when passing through an electron-beam curing unit. Curing of the electron-beam coating takes place in normal atmospheric conditions, thereby eliminating the need for nitrogen gas or the like in a curing chamber.
OPTICAL FILM
An optical film including a recording surface on which a plurality of unit blocks is disposed at regular intervals. For these unit blocks, phase components of light from a reconstruction point are calculated. The recording surface includes a calculated element region provided with an array of the unit blocks for which phase components of light from the reconstruction point are calculated for reproduction of an image. A first image is a monotone reconstruction image having even brightness, and a second image is a grayscale image having brightness gradation.
SHAPED BODY HAVING A VOLUME HOLOGRAM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention concerns a method for the production of a moulded body containing at least one volume hologram by means of injection moulding, comprising the following method steps: provision of a hologram film composite having two sides comprising at least one photopolymer layer with at least one volume hologram, a shear protective layer and a substrate layer, and optionally, further composite film layers, insertion of the hologram film composite into a metallic injection mould, such that one side of the hologram film composite is at least partially in contact with the injection mould wall, introduction of a molten thermoplastic polymer for the production of the moulded body, wherein at least the outermost layer of the hologram film composite on the side of the hologram film composite coming into contact with the molten polymer contains essentially the same polymer raw materials as the molten thermoplastic polymer, and extrusion coating of the hologram film composite with the molten thermoplastic polymer, and solidification of the molten thermoplastic polymer.
The invention also concerns a moulded body produced in this manner and advantageous applications of this moulded body.
Image display device and image display medium
An image display device includes image cells arranged two-dimensionally. Each image cell has a hologram layer. The hologram layer includes a diffraction grating in which a one-dimensional grating pattern extending in a first direction is repeated in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Among the plurality of image cells, two or more image cells that are in a row in the second direction and correlated to one color constitute one image cell group. The image cell group includes a section in which the spatial frequency of the diffraction grating is proportionately small as the distance in the second direction from one end of the image cell group increases such that, while a viewpoint is positioned at a predetermined angle relative to an image display device, the two or more image cells constituting the image cell group display the same color as each other.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR HOLOGRAPHIC OPTICAL ELEMENTS
Systems, devices, and methods for holographic optical elements are described. A holographic optical element includes a first layer of holographic material and a second layer of holographic material. The first layer of holographic material includes a first hologram responsive to light in a first waveband and a second hologram responsive to light in a second waveband. The second layer of holographic material includes a third hologram responsive to light in a third waveband and may include a fourth hologram responsive to light in a fourth waveband. The first, second, third, and fourth wavebands are distinct and may comprise light of red, blue, green, and infrared wavelengths, respectively. Distribution of the three or four holograms on two layers of holographic material allows each hologram to have an index modulation of greater than 0.016, a diffraction efficiency of greater than 15%, and an angular bandwidth of greater than 12.
