Apparatus and method adapted for making and extruding cigarettes, such as marijuana cigarettes, the apparatus comprised of a plate with a working surface, an extruding surface, a rim portion, a plurality of tapered holes that hold pre-rolled cones, a base attached to the plate, and having crimping means, tamping means, and extruding means for finishing cigarettes, these means provided as individual devices or a combination devices, the method comprising placing pre-rolled cones into the apparatus, pouring the filling material onto the plate and shaking it, inserting the crimping means and moving it to pack and crimp the pre-rolled cones, inserting the tamping means for closing the pre-rolled cones, and inserting the extruding means for extruding the finished cigarettes onto the catcher.

Methods and apparatuses for detecting the fill height of a pre-filled cone and closing the cone are disclosed. A height detector, such as a laser rangefinder, detects the height of a pre-filled cone. A gripper then grips the pre-filled cone at the height plus a predetermined offset, the offset calculated to result in an optimum packing of cone fill material. The gripper then closes the cone by rotating to form a twist, which is then trimmed to the height plus the predetermined offset. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Methods and apparatuses for detecting the fill height of a pre-filled cone and closing the cone are disclosed. A height detector, such as a laser rangefinder, detects the height of a pre-filled cone. A gripper then grips the pre-filled cone at the height plus a predetermined offset, the offset calculated to result in an optimum packing of cone fill material. The present invention relates to a device and method for rolling a paper tube around ground material to form a cigarette. In an embodiment of the present invention, the device comprises an openable chamber configured to receive ground material, the chamber having a first end and a second end; a rolling assembly disposed within the chamber, the rolling assembly receiving paper and forming a paper tube around the ground material, the rolling assembly having a first end and a second; and a first gear assembly at the first chamber end and communicatively connected the first end of the rolling assembly, and a second gear assembly at the second chamber end and communicatively connected to the second end of the rolling assembly, the first and second gear activating the rolling assembly when rotated to roll the paper around the ground material forming a cigarette.

The present invention relates to a device and method for rolling a paper tube around ground material to form a cigarette. A system and method for adding smokable material into cone is provided. One embodiment receives input at a user input device from a user that specifies an amount of the smokable material that is to be dispensed by the auger load system into an empty cone; determines, at a cone filler control system, a determined duration based on the user specified amount of smokable material received in at user input device; communicates a control signal from the cone filler control system; and operates an auger drive motor to rotate an auger for the determined duration in response to the control signal so that a helical screw blade of the auger dispenses the user specified amount of smokable material out from a lower portion of a hopper containing the smokable material into an empty cone.

A system for folding cigarettes filled with a smoking material, including a body, an insert coupled to the body, the insert is configured to store the cigarette, the insert includes a base and sidewalls extending upwards from the base, where the base and the sidewalls match a size of the cigarette, the insert, the cigarette is configured to be mounted on a top surface of the base, a folding mechanism secured to the body, the folding mechanism includes multiple folding units, each folding unit of the multiple folding units includes a moving member that moves towards the insert for hitting a top portion of the cigarette from another angle, a mechanism for moving the moving member towards the cigarette.

A system for folding cigarettes filled with a smoking material, including a body, an insert coupled to the body, the insert is configured to store the cigarette, the insert includes a base and sidewalls extending upwards from the base, where the base and the sidewalls match a size of the cigarette, the insert, the cigarette is configured to be mounted on a top surface of the base, a folding mechanism secured to the body, the folding mechanism includes multiple folding units, each folding unit of the multiple folding units includes a moving member that moves towards the insert for hitting a top portion of the cigarette from another angle, a mechanism for moving the moving member towards the cigarette.

A pre-roll cone folding system for use in folding top portions of pre-roll cones, including at least (A) one or more pre-roll cone holders, a given one of the one or more pre-roll cone holders including at least a sloped cavity for supporting a pre-roll cone with a top portion of the pre-roll cone protruding from the sloped cavity; (B) one or more pre-roll cone folders for engaging the one or more pre-roll cone holders, a given pre-roll cone folder of the one or more pre-roll cone folders including at least (1) a receptacle to receive at least a portion of the protruding top portion of the pre-roll cone, and (2) a slot; and (C) a pre-roll cone plunger with a shaft for insertion through the slot of the given pre-roll cone folder and with a shaper for shaping at least the top portion of the pre-roll cone.
